I know a lot of people think D.O is gay, but I just don't get that vibe off him. Like, part of me thinks he could be, but part of me thinks he's not really interested in men.... Idk.
 
I still think Kai is straight but dtf. Again, Idk.. he just gives off that vibe. Like, he seems like he'd get with a guy if he was bored or something, but that if a girl was available he'd pick her every time XD
(I suppose technically that wouldn't make him completely straight, but Idk... he seems kinda like he's attracted to girls, but he's not entirely repulsed by guys like a straight guy would be... but he's not entirely attracted to guys either? lol have mercy on my confused soul, please tell me somebody understands what I'm saying)
 
 
I do think both Kai and D.O have been specifically told to act bi though, so that could be messing with errbody's vibes. I don't know if other members have too, I don't pay that much attention... but those two for sure seem like they've been told to try to attract certain kinds of sexual attention. I think D.O focuses more on men, while Kai focuses more on women who like the idea of gay or bisexual men XD
 
Has anybody else noticed any other members who seem to be deliberately trying to make themselves seem not straight?
I don't think Tao is one of them... He's too fab. If he started deliberately trying to make people think he was gay, the stage would spontaneously erupt into a pride parade

As a gay man, I don't mind. It's fun. We don't have many appealing gay role models to identify with, so it's nice to throw around ideas at least. If somebody says something that sounds off, odds are somebody else is gonna come along and challenge it. This thread isn't a hive mind, people have varying views. Most of the regulars here are more than happy to talk about people they might not normally talk about, too, so it's fine to bring up somebody unrelated to the apparent current topic of discussion.

 

I don't know how far back you're thinking, but on H8 the thread was pretty much the same as it is here. Some serious speculation, some silly speculation, some shipping, and various gay Korea related stuff with a tiny sprinkling of off topic random stuff and a pinch of drama.

 

 

No. I loved the forum when it was on the old site. This forum is literally ALL exo now everytime I visit it now. That's what had me so upset.

 

You have the right to talk about something else. Don't try to force people into talking about what you want them to talk about by ridiculing them and talking shit. Be interesting, and people will follow your topic of discussion.

His inconsistent behavior is a major part of what leads me to believe he's doing it for show. People seem to think that he just "grew up", but it really hasn't been that long... My guess is that he's baiting the gay, bi, and bicurious male audience. He's pretty good at it though, he has guys falling all over him XD

Like, if you look at Sungjong for example, he was really fab, but then suddenly he stopped. Everything. He seemed withdrawn and unhappy. His manlier behavior was clearly an act, while his happy little butterfly behavior was much more genuine.

With D.O, he doesn't seem like that at all. It seems more like his previous behavior was the act, not his current behavior.

Part of what makes his previous behavior seem like an act is that he wasn't uncomfortable with it. He reveled in it. He made a show of it. Korea is a fairly homophobic country, and I have yet to see a closeted gay Korean man be completely comfortable with behavior he knows will make him seem gay.

His behavior has changed, but it seems more natural now. It's possible it's just a switch in concepts, but it's pretty drastic.

One could think various things and come to various conclusions based on his gay behavior, but it doesn't seem like he's actually gay on the inside. He doesn't give off that vibe.

Gaydar may be more potent in person, but that doesn't mean it's defunct at a distance. Vibes come across primarily through behavior, which is visible even if you're not the one they're interacting with.

It's not just stereotypical behavior. Some of us pay attention to subtle behaviors, too. Things that they don't know they're doing, things that they don't think people notice, etc..

 

I'll agree that some people are difficult to read though.

Oh, this is techically off topic, but if you want good gay stories, I recommend DomLuka, especially if the flowery style of some fanfictions isn't your cup of tea. My favorite of his is With Trust.

They don't usually if they're not sexually attracted to them. When you're dating somebody to hide your sexuality, especially if you're young, you're most likely not going to be sexual with them. People who marry to hide their sexuality usually soldier through, but that's a bit different...

I think you missed the part where being masculine and handsome are by no means disqualifiers for homosexuality 

 

Feminine gay guys are actually a pretty small minority among gay men, just like butch lesbians are a minority among lesbians.

I know that being a gay is not a choice, From my experience you need to know they are people out there who do not consider themselves gay, but have a genuine attraction to one person of the same sex. I knew this guy and he swore he wasn't, but he had the most insane attraction to one his friends to the point he initiated stuff and things got down. He still likes girls more than girls and those feelings for those have gone down now to the point he doesn't even understand why he got them(hormones duh). For some they can find someone of the same sex attractive and be willing to experiment with that one person. Not on a full majority be gay, because they don't feel gay.

I think it's more like they can't afford to be openly homophobic. There's this sort of unspoken (or possibly spoken XD) rule in the industry where you never ever out somebody, even if you hate their guts. You also never reveal who an idol is dating (many idols know who each other are dating due to the lack of privacy and free time that comes with the average idol lifestyle).

The only time you bring it up is to deliberately give the person a chance to deny a rumor.

 

 

Plus there's the fact that the Kpop industry seems to be almost a breeding ground for lgbt people XDD

In the west the fashion and design industries seem to attract the most gay guys out of any other industry. I think in Korea being an idol is also pretty high up there on the list (though maybe not as high as working behind the scenes), especially since fashion has become such a huge part of the Kpop scene.

What I read so far that people come here seem to be so open but had this strong denied of homosexuality .

 

I was talking to this fan (I cannot said what idol she fan with) anyway. I asked her what if your idol is gay ? Blank denied that her idol is gay but however she somewhat support it ? Like she said " yeah I support gay but I don't think my bias idol is gay". There is this strong denied of my idol isn't gay nevertheless you guy support gay related theme . So, I am trying to figure out why fan girls love boy & boy love but in denied about homosexuality ?

 

If my idol was gay I still support him & her because that what fans do . I cannot hate on the person because he and she is gay beside YOU DON'T LIVE THEIR LIFE.
