Even if they weren't though they might be okay just because of the circumstances. It's such a sad thing that happened to Kim Ji Hoo, but I don't think that would happen to somebody if they were outed rather than coming out, especially now. Attitudes in Korea regarding homosexuality have changed a lot in 8 years, and a lot of celebrities also have international fanbases they can rely on now too. I agree that Korea needs gay stars. Until there are actual real, relatable gay people in the spotlight, things aren't really going to progress so much. (HSC is a bamf, but he's not the most relatable fellow around lbr) I don't know if Korea has their own version of National Enquirer or Globe, but if they do I know those types of magazines/news sites would have no respect for outing a gay idol couple, so I think you're right. I think it is a reputable news station that's simply testing the waters to see how people will react to an idol couple coming out before releasing the statement, which I think is the safest bet. Don't know about Krystal but I do know that Kai is part Exo, which is one of the most popular boy groups ever since fucking TVXQ, so I do think even if he's not the most popular member in the group that his name does bring some pull. Maybe it's not enough to distract the public from Gov. issues but it sure as hell can direct people's attentions away from SM's current lawsuits with Exo's former members. Honestly it all just seems so...weird. Though you could be right. Maybe I am reaching but it all just seems so strange. Companies don't just out right say two of their celebs are dating without having some kind of agenda behind them. It could have something to do with SM's lawsuit against Exo's former Chinese members, it could not.
