There's so much femme-phobia it's literally SICKENING. Gays hate it when people treat them as less of men for being gay, but so many of them won't hesitate to do the same thing to feminine men. It perplexes me, and I'm almost certain it all stems from insecurity and, potentially, self-hate. I can't see any other reason for it when it comes from the very same community which already gets the short end of the stick in regards to social acceptance BECAUSE of gender stereotypes. Inferring that it's wrong for a masculine man and feminine man to like each other, is JUST as flat-out offensive and ridiculous as inferring that two men in general can't like each other. People are attracted to different things period. It's not always black-and-white and in complete agreement with general sentiment, and you'd think the gay community would instantly get that lol. He confuses me a lot And just a random question for everyone, whom in Ikon do you think would be the most supportive if any of them came out as gay? For me, that would be Bobby. He just seems like a nice and open-minded guy overall and probably has a bit more exposure to it since he used to live in the states. Obviously Bobby. He seems like an all-around sweetheart. Maybe hongseok too since he probably has an "international" mindset and is probably more socially aware since he's studied in a few other countries? idk about the rest though. eplizo 1,169 Posted November 20, 2014 Share Posted November 20, 2014 (edited) Jokwon would actually be the best to come out right now imo. 2AM's fans aren't as particularly obsessed with them since they're a more mellow ballad group, and most Koreans are actually sure he's gay, so he'd probably have minimal backlash in comparison to the other more obvious candidates. JYP is very accepting of LGBT and Jokwon's flamboyancy too, so I think they would let him if he wanted to and if the timing was right. Whether he actually wants to come out anytime soon though, is a different story, and I don't think he's ready yet. I feel bad for the friend. Gay or not, they've been friends for eons, so them being so attached is understandable. I feel like they might've actually been together, but as usual in Korea, one of them ended up getting married in order to conform to societies expectations.
