first of all, regardless of whatever namjoon's sexuality is, there is no way in hell he would make that type of content with that guy if he was actually his boyfriend. that's just not how it works. I know some of you have army blinders on but consider taking a look at how non-BTS idols most people think are queer operate in their personal lives and take note of what may or may not be realistic. 

secondly, I find it highly hypocritical of some of you to get all superior @Don't mind me for "not being able to take criticism" or whatever, when any time somebody says they think a BTS member is straight it causes an extremely repetitive and boring fight that doesn't happen when somebody says the same about other idols. you can act like you're above it as much as you want, but some users get upset every single time at certain types of posts and should just own it and explain how they feel with words rather than clowning and skulling any post that suggests that (insert BTS member here) isn't a gay icon. maybe that would lead to some actual discussion.

not trying to be a jerk because maybe this isn't what you meant, but if their intended audience isn't fujoshis or actual gay people then who is it? I'm not an expert but as far as I know they're not popular in Korea, so to me it seems like it's aimed at an international audience of...probably those 2 demographics. which is fine! their company clearly saw what they perceived as a gap in the market and went for it. I just haven't seen much evidence other than their apparent approval of the concepts that any of the members are actually gay, which is what I would be more interested in seeing in this thread than just the official content. not because they have to be out to participate or anything, I just feel like I don't know a thing about them as individuals despite how much they get posted here.

Plus, he's saying all this while wearing a shirt with an anime girl, the jokes practically write themselves! If he wasn't a celebrity, he'd walk around in one of those ahegao shirts I swear lmao. 

Anyway, Heechul is not gay, I think that everyone can agree on that at this point. I used to feel like he could be bi with a preference for women, and that could still theoretically be true. Just because he's a weirdo that doesn't mean he can't be bi, but at the end of the day I just...don't care. We've got better picks for our somewhat unhealthy parasocial gay validation needs now~ (and may they never pull a Heechul on us  ). 

Heechul in general needs to be studied, I wasn’t on this site then but this thread was far from the only place that thought he was a sensitive ally who was nice to young female idols out of the goodness of his heart, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. It really is so easy to create a narrative about yourself out of thin air if you’re an idol. In a way we should hope all of our faves have careers long and prosperous enough that they eventually stop caring and show us who they really are

sorry but at this point who gives a fuck if he's secretly pro LGBT? He likes to hang out on violently misogynist forums and isn't shy about sharing stuff he picks up there. If you found out that your irl acquaintance went on 4chan regularly, would you think "well maybe he spends all his time loling at jokes about (insert minority here), but it still could be possible that he tolerates gay people!". I don't know why you would feel the need to give him the benefit of the doubt that he hasn't earned.

can't you just as easily ask when he's ever indicated that he's attracted to women? it's not like key and ten are out here openly thirsting over hot guys but everyone accepts that they're gay. sometimes it's just obvious.

Obviously bisexuality is real, the problem is that people use it as a coping mechanism when it turns out that their supposedly totally 100% gay oppa has a girlfriend. No idol is ever going to come out as bi, especially if they're in a het relationship already, so if you want you can claim it about anybody and never be proven wrong. It reduces being bi to a sort of tokenism when people can't cope with the fact that their fantasies weren't real rather than an actual identity.
