I love Gain and Paradise Lost a lot and I'm just really surprised . Daehwi performing it as a child must not mean that he's gay but I do think he is and I think he just doesn't want to attract hate to himself.

 

If I were an idol and I was gay I'd make sure to act as straight as possible because we all know that a lot of fans who ship same sex idols together could be homophobic af and that's not even counting the other fans who don't ship but are also very homophobic. I honestly pity homosexual idols and bisexual idols with a same sex preference. The anxiety they feel must be at an all time high.

First of all, no offense to any religious person here, you have to understand that cults aren't just "cults". A cult could come in form of a church, a company or just a social group. No one has ever knowingly joined cults and you have to understand this.

A lot of people are also born into this so called cults so they might not understand at first why outsiders see them as such. Go do some research about famous cults and they all begun as a need to belong to a family and or achieve a greater good or purpose - see Jehovah's witnesses, Jones town church, Eugenia Cooney worshippers (and avid followers of charismatic YouTubers), vegan and essential oils societies etc.

I'm just tired of people repeating he's in a cult, he's in a cult. Well, he is but he might not even know that.

I want to say some of my opinions on Seventeen. I don't write any posts on here cause I'm more of a reader and nodder and a passerby. Okay, here is what I think:

S.coups - gay

Jeonghan - used to think he was gay some years ago but I'm not really sure anymore but I won't be surprised if he were straight

Joshua - gay

Jun - gayyyy

Hoshi - has this gay vibe, could be straight but just very gay to me

Wonwoo - very conflicted but I might go with straight

Woozi - straight!

Dk - seems heterosexual but with homoerotic undertones

Mingyu - from lurking on this thread for years now, I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who can't read him at all. Big Bi vibes

The8 - straight 

Seungkwan - I feel like me thinking he's gay may be a bit stereotypical or sth but I won't be surprised if he were straight idk idk

Vernon - another strange man. I'm conflicted. He has the same vibe as Monsta X's IM

Dino - hard to read and am totally not sure

 

Okay, that's all I can deduce for now. The thing is that the members of Seventeen all seem like they won't be weird around a member who might be gay and they all seem like they are comfortable in themselves and with each other. For some reason they all seem open-minded and warm with each other - sibling energy type and if that's the case I'm happy for the members I think are not heterosexual.

I'm a multistan and 17, along with some groups such as Victon, CIX, GOT7, Twice, Stray Kids, Ateez, Dreamcatcher, Monsta X, give off vibes of people who will be accepting and not be weird or mean to a gay member.

IMO, Seonghwa is gay. Almost all the members ping me except Jongho and Yeosang for some reason. (Yes, I know, I'm going to have to back up my opinions with reasons soon hehe)

Ateez members also seem like men who wouldn't make a fuss over one's sexuality plus they're also kinda quiet. I think the only person whose friends we might have an idea of is Wooyoung.

This interaction has been brought up here A LOT lol. Honestly, yeah I think they're awkward but I don't believe it's a BIG deal.

I'll say what I said the last time; Jaehyun probably had (has?) puppy admiration (puppy admiration as in "my hyung is so handsome and talented and kind" sort of thing) for Taeyong and the members knew/know it.

Could there have been some sort of romantic and or sexual attraction between them? Probably and we may never really know what goes on in their mind so we shall speculate and speculation is the reason we are all here.

 

Or if there's something you or you all see that I don't, please specify or elaborate.

An unpopular opinion of mine is that there is nothing like queerbaiting where kpop idols or k celebrities are involved. We do not know their sexuality truly so accusing them of queerbaiting is just off the table. Especially when the general public or k netizens or homophobic fans exist.

I remember when heartstopper twt literally forced one of the main characters to come out because he was accused of "queerbaiting".

Being an idol is a job and in this economy and capitalist society, not many people would appreciate losing their jobs because of their sexuality. I also don't think fans should be accusing an actual human being of being a queerbait(er?) regardless.

Taeyong is also more bi/pan in my opinion, and I totally agree with the poster that Johnny is either pansexual or straight but the chances of him being straight are higher, so I deem him as straight (we do know he's dated women and I agree he and Ten were suspicious at SM Rookie days, but it's veery possible it was a one sided crush by Ten). 

Jaehyun is bi, Winwin is indeed as straight as a ruler, but so is Chenle. I don't blame for thinking he's gay because this was written in early's 2020 and Chenle had just started being more outspoken during that time. Jisung is the possibly the straighest member alongside Kun. 

Xiaojun I do agree is bisexual, but I'm not sure why I get the sense he isn't very comfortable with it. I can't say much about the other 127 and WayV members though because I haven't kept up with them for a long time. 

Mark is very much straight. 

Jeno, I have to disagree. Ever since day 1 when I got to know him and didn't even like him I thought he's queer.

Renjun is bisexual or gay. But I agree so much with the post, Renjun is hard to decipher because he doesn't show his true self. He's affectionate and lovely yes but he's constantly toning down his actions and he doesn't like being perceived by the fans. But since he's my ultimate bias and I've watched so many of videos of him, I do feel like you can sometimes see beyond the facade. 

I'd probably switch Haechan - bisexual to straight and Jaemin - straight to bisexual, though. It's very tricky because I did use to think Haechan was at least bi... but I don't see that energy in him anymore. Is he hiding it? Was he too young before and thus playful with other men? Idk man, but to me he's straight. 

I think I've said this before here, but I do believe Jeno and Renjun had something romantic going on between 2018-2020. I compiled a post about them to post here but never did xd 

I agree with everything except:

1. Chenle - he reminds me of Seventeen's Minghao and for some reason I think they're not straight.
