I don't think this webtoon means much at all. I know some Armys gonna disagree with me, but I feel like BTS hasn't had much say in their activities or music in the past 2 years, excluding mixtapes ofc.

I know people change and grow up and I don't expect BTS to only release some angsty-agressive rap tracks now, but sorry...I really don't think PTD is the kind of music that Joon or Yoongi would like to release form the bottom of their heart. Sure, they might also want that Grammy, but I def think someone at Hybe is pushing them to release stuff like this because they just want commercial success.

 But I guess they are getting paid well and Hybe does a pretty good job with keeping their lives private, so they just go along with it. So for them this is probably just another annoying project  they have to do while they wait for their next tour.

Maybe that's true but I also think they're both  stuck in perfectionist paralysis because they have so many eyes on them and it's a big artistic statement. Because Tae has been dropping solos one by one without committing to a big release. 

I do wish the enlistment question is decided because I don't think we'll get anything truly raw, honest or controversial until it's settled.

I agree so much witht this. They are in this weird limbo where they have to be super careful and non-controversial in order to stay on the good side of the general public (being Korea's National pride probably increases their chances of being exempted) but I feel like it's not doing anything good for their music and personal development.  But with the recent news about Taemin... the military def is a scary place and I can totally understand that they want to stay very neutral and non controversial until they have to enlist(or get exempted for real).

Lol tbh I noticed Jimin is very giggly about these kind of moments anyway.  For example he was also awkwardly laughing in one recent american interview where Vmin was asked about their "love connection" to Lizzo (this was obviously just lighthearted fun) and Jimin was just kinda laughing about the situation. I think its more of a personality trait than a sexuality thing. FWIW, some of my ace friends make the dirtiest jokes and are the first to laugh at them. So I don't think that joke or laughter was directed at anyone. If anything, the its kinda funny how JK just said that in such a casual and unbothered voice, just minding his business. I just feel like he laughed at the interaction as a whole and its not rlly a hint towards Jins or JKs sexuality.

Tbh I am starting to more and more believe that ace might be a possibility for Jin. He just seems almost too chill. He is friendly with women, he doesn't mind making a flirty joke at men, but he never takes things too far. He also doesn't like being on the receiving end of flirty fanservice. Also, ofc he has his worldwide handsome gag, but his posts on social media are also very carefree and almost like he doesn't look at himself in a sexual/seductive way. He also really seems to enjoy games, fishing and spending time with family over anything else (not that it necessarily says anything about his sexuality, but it seems like he spends more time on stuff like that than other members).

This is all just based on some vibes though, its hard to tell if someone is ace. And on the other hand I can also see Jin being that guy who has had a serious girlfriend for like 5 years and then announces marriage and a child out of nowhere. Either way, he keeps it super lowkey.

Honestly idk either. I wouldn't say I know a lot, sometimes I also wish there was some kind of kpop gossip masterlist 

I mostly only know stuff related to BTS, and it's just by being an active stan. Like the namjoon or jimin friends thing or the V and joana rumors I know just from what stan accounts on Instagram and twt post. (Joon even posted all of the pics on his own account lol)

I know some people also visit korean sites and chatrooms, if they speak enough korean to navigate that. Idk how much gay gossip is on there though.

Also kpop gossip in general tends to be really vague and there is so much fake shit made up by antis or some fake "insiders", its hard to find solid evidence about anything. Most people in this thread just discuss based on normal content ( music, videos, variety shows, vlives, social media posts by idols, etc) and the general behaviour/vibes of some idols.

Yeah idk what to think about Jimins comment.  I guess one way to interpret it is that he enjoys doing fanservice by his own choice and not because the company tells him to.  I mean, I personally do think Jimin likes flirting with men to some extent. Although within the group I think its more like platonic/joke-y flirting.

Or another possibility is that he is annoyed that little moments like that get over interpreted by fans and instantly classified as fanservice, even tho Jin was literally just removing a feather from his face and tbh there is no real flirty context whatsoever.

I commented on BTS Jin a few months ago. I did also say that he is a bit of a wild card, but right now I think he is either asexual or straight. Finding receipts for ace is hard, but he just gives me this vibe that he doesn't care about relationships that much and genuinely just enjoys his hobbies and alone time. He doesn't do much flirty fanservice besides the occasional WWH moment and it seems like he doesn't want to have people/fans lusting after him.

Ofc its hard to say how much of this is related to sexuality or if its just his more conservative upbringing. He could also be dating a girl seriously in private and announce marriage out of nowhere. Lol I do somehow feel like he would be either the first or last(or not at all) to be in a relationship/married

you have posted a video about Tae with almost every single female idol. Even a 100% straight man isn't gonna be attracted to every single woman he sees. And as others have already said, idk how just looking at someone is proof of sexual interest, like.. it's just normal friendly behaviour to make eye contact with and acknowledge the exsistence of other people around you in a work setting (which award shows are for idols).

By the way, he is very closed off now. When he was less targeted by antis and was not seen as an IT boy, he did show his attraction very easily. Nowadays no one really sees his true sides anymore. But I guess that is his way of dealing with fame. 

As for Taemin, I highly doubt he is straight. 

I pretty much have the same opinion on him. Jimin is very private and doesn't have many new receipts these days and that also sometimes makes me think that maybe he is not into men that much after all. But then I think of all those 2017-2018 (+ even some from all the way back in 2013-2014 ) moments when he was being super flirty in interviews and on vacation lol. I think he has to be at least bi-curious.  Ik idols do fanservice with fans and their own group members, but like there is no het reason for flirting with random male interviewers.

I mean I think it's okay to assume that most of them are probably gonna be straight, but I really don't get Taehyung. He has shown so much interest in LGBT-coded art and music, including some pretty obscure things, like liking some gay photographers who are not super famous. He also seemed really at home in Paris hanging out with all those male models. I don't know if a 100% straight dude would be into this stuff.

Jimin I have already commented on multiple times, he is very private and in some ways kind of like a Taemin 2.0 . He has not openly showed interest in LGBT-related media. But he has had some interesting reactions to certain men (which you have mentioned), plus he seems to be very in touch with his sensual side and he just gives off a queer vibe. Sometimes I do wonder tho, if he is just one of those very emotional, sensitive hopeless romantic straight guys. But until he reveals more, I would go with bi.

I think the others are mostly straight. Maybe unpopular, but I don't see much with Yoongi, the ideal type interview thing is old and afaik no one can really confirm what he meant and I think his rap lyrics are just meant in a dissing way. He wore LGBT vans one time, but tbh there is not much more. I am open to him being bi/pan, but I am not fully convinced. Same with Namjoon, I think the discussion around him is interesting, but I'm still not convinced he has a boyfriend lol. I also feel like he appreciates art (whether lgbt themed or not) for its own sake (like just for the sake of being art, rather than having super deep personal feelings with each piece. //ofc this is just my guess, idk how he feels irl) so I currently don't see that as a super strong receipt either.

Yeah, Jhope went to the Kaws studio today and Irene was there with him too (he posted it on his insta stoy) and I think thats kinda sus lol. I mean they could just be good friends, who knows, but to me they seem like the most believable potential couple so far.  Oh and for sure they are gonna do hyung line first, if they plan to reveal any of BTS's relationships, I mean so far I have not seen any Jhope x Irene news stories and no fan meltdowns, but if someone from the maknae line was hanging out with a woman... then it would be a storm by now .

And yeah, I sadly don't think any BTS member is coming out any time soon. Even if they go live abroad, as long as they have this whole Korea's national treasue image and have the korean gp care about them, I don't think anyone will come out.

I also wanted to say that he could still be bi, heck, he could even have a preference for men. ( bc lets be real, in such a homophobic country like SK, dating a woman is so much easier for him if he is bi, we will probably never know what he prefer more) Sadly bi-erasure is common, most ppl are probably just gonna think of him as straight.

But ngl, I am kinda surprised. If I had to bet on one BTS member to be gay, I would have chosen Tae. He showed the most consistent interest in lgbt themed media + his sassy mannerisms. But it just shows that we are simply guessing for fun here, no one truly knows these idols.

My gut feeling is that Jimin only really dresses up when he has something to do or in the earlier years of BTS. There you could see that he wore whatever he liked, whether it was for men or woman. Nowadays it's more black shirt/jeans, but I can see in the behind interviews he does take lead in his styling and often goes for creative and non gender looks. Its really the same as fashion or art people who want to be creative only for one part of their life, not in everything. 

My thinking was he is Gay, but in the last year I have changed my mind and I can see he might have attraction for women. But with a strong preference for men. 

(slightly OT)Tbf, no one in BTS besides JHope is currently super dressed up in their free time. I mean they still all have their own little style details , but they all seem to rock the baggy tshirt and baggy pants look more often than not + wear sponsored LV clothes to events and so. So I feel like Jimins everyday clothes don't mean much either way. They all probably just dress for comfort. He still seems to enjoy delicate jewellery and bags though which add a touch of femininity to his looks,  even though the rest of his outfit is just regular mens clothes.

I also think Jimin is probably bi. Not sure about his preference though. Tbh, I am kinda looking forward to his solo album. I am curious to see, whether his song is gonna be a het love song or something more vague/potentially have queer hints.

Might get clowned for this, but here are my 2 (or more) cents: I don't like that Jungkook is participating in this and the backlash is deserved.  But I also think that making the generalisation of "boo all of BTS is homophobic and bad" isn't quite right either. Firstly, I am pretty sure this FIFA venture was decided when their military service was still up for debate an Hybe pushed hard for them to be global ambassadors/Grammy winners and whatnot, so that they could possibly be exempt. I don't think they had much choice than to do what Hybe said. I mean Jin literally said he wanted to enlist earlier but the company didn't let him. Now, for Jungkook specifically...this obviously doesn't excuse his decision to perform, but some people forget that the dude literally grew up in the company and obeying their orders/following their suggestions is all he has known since he was like 14. Speaking up and disagreeing is difficult when the company built your whole life. Again, not saying this excuses his decision and I hope he at least learns from it, but its no wonder that the oldest members like Jin and Suga are the more critical of the company and more likely to speak up when they disagree.  And yeah, lastly people forget that BTS are 7 individuals who might not share the same opinions and views. They have even said this themselves that they are quite different from each other but all decided to not argue about some things for the sake of the group. So idk where this idea came from that they must all think alike.
