goyangiprince 3,761 Posted April 20, 2018 Share Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) I've been a fan of Pentagon since their pre debut days and from what I know and observed throughout all this time I'm pretty sure Kino is gay, there are so many receipts, things he likes (he is so deep into the whole queer music scene, he follows both lgbt artists that are more known like Years and Years and Troye Sivan - btw he said he shares the same emotions with Troye, but also for example, Le1f who is an openly gay rapper - he wears wigs, talks about gay sex and love in his lyrics), the people he hangs out with (not only is he friends with Vernon, who is speculated to be queer as well but also Kino before the debut was studying dancing at the uni, all of his photos are basically him with his female friends, in high school as well, don't get me wrong it's not like in Asian culture straight males and females cannot be friends or something but you all have to admit there is a pattern here, also he knows Minhyuk from Monsta X, however I don't know how close these two are and Jamie from After School Club who seems gay friendly, they went to high school together) and lastly his whole mannerism (Yanan said in an interview once that "there is something feminine in him (Kino), when talking about who suits Violet concept the most), the way he behaves around guys, plus I don't remember where but there was this interview or something right after they debuted where Kino himself said he is probably the one who "acts" (as someone he is not) the most in front of the camera/on stage out of all Pentagon members. E'Dawn is a very interesting character, I wish he was as easy to crack as Kino tbh. From what I know he is at least a very open minded and chilled guy, he calls himself a pacifist as well. Some of the things he does make me question him, that's for sure but I feel like a lot of the times he is seen as this "odd" guy that lives in his own world, for example he doesn't really have a lot of friends outside the group, he even talked about it in one of the interviews. A lot of the people who question E'Dawn also links him with Hui and yes they are definitely good friends, have nice chemistry but I don't think there is/was any romantic link between them (attraction maybe?) He also has this tough rapper look on stage but in reality he seems like such a soft guy, plants flowers etc. Tbh in my opinion he is most likely bi, plus I think if anybody knows about Kino and vice versa it would be E'Dawn, they are also pretty close friends since pre debut. Lastly, Hui is questionable as well for me, dude loves skinship, he sometimes says things out of the blue (during one of the pepero games he outright said for the two guys to just kiss each other and not in a joking manner, or the way he said that one day he might even kiss Jinho (they were talking about how close they got etc), the whole "fake story" about the Chinese female dancer that turned out to be a male dancer (E'Dawn spilling the tea). Plus he seems like an open minded guy as well. These three in my opinion are pretty questionable (except Kino, he is the most obvious one). I mean a lot of the boys do skinship during their vlives etc, but most of the time you can easily tell it doesn't mean anything, I was thinking about doing a master post on Pentagon members or something but honestly apart from skinship and some rare questionable moments most of them just don't ping me at all (still sad over the fact that my bias Yeo One is most likely straight...) I feel similarly about all of them tbh (although u mentioned a lot of things I haven't heard about yet, so thank you ^^) I definitely understand why Hui and E'Dawn get paired together, they match really well and are so touchy but I agree that they don't seem like there's anything romantic happening. I do think both of them would be bi, Hui especially seems like he would definitely be into girls as well. but they both have a lot of interesting moments, and when things are hinted to be gay (skinship, or hyuna shipping the two of them lmao) they don't seem to be weirded out by it very often. No one else really stands out to me either, which is feels like a surprisingly low number for 10 boys in kpop haha but maybe I'll find more things later.... He lied on Happy Together but I wouldn't hold it against him. They are often told to say things as part of the script and if they have decided on this kind of image for his idol persona then he has no choice but go along with it. I've noticed this with pretty much every idol I've been a fan of, sometimes the things they get them to say or do on variety shows are so cringey because they contradict things they've said or done before. Sometimes the agency changes their mind about the image they want for an idol and that's also jarring for the existing fans. Of course Minhyun could be bi, who knows. The ones that pinged me in the group were Ren and JR. Really? I've seen Nu'est interviews where he's said the same things he said while in W1, that he hasn't dated and stuff. what's the tea on this, I'd love to know! The only member I've noticed that clearly has dated a lot of girls is Aron lmao, the members have even teased him about it This is surprising to me. I'm not a LOVE so I don't know much about him pre-Wanna One, but fans usually dig up everything they can about the members (so I know about a few WO members' past relationships and of course rumors here and there) but I haven't heard much about Minhyun. It's kinda dangerous for an idol to have a motae solo image if it's not true because it's so easily debunked with how much kfans investigate into their private lives and they just come off as liars but I know fans keep things to themselves to protect the image of their bias. Strange that YMC made him have that image when everyone else freely admitted to dating in the past. Because I know him from Wanna One activities and only a few Nu'est things I've watched on Youtube, I've just always assumed he had no interest in girls at all. I don't have a lot of evidence backing it up so I don't talk about it here, but he just gives off that vibe. I agree with this, it's surprising if that's true bc it's a dangerous situation... he'd have to be really sure it wouldn't get out? I mean on the other hand I agree that it's a little surprising that he hasn't dated but considering his super young debut age it's possible life just got in the way. although considering how he is at fansigns, the awkward around girls part of his image is for sure a lie lmao, he knows how to flirt. She only has the one physical store as well, which is a sign that it's likely only a boutique, and also none of the clothing has her name on the label... What are your thoughts on these groups? I am like 99% certain none of ACE is straight and 93953% certain Wow and Byeongkwan are dating. I've been to a bunch of their shows and two of their fansigns and you just don't act like that if you're not a couple, lol. The other members just kind of radiate gay energy normally but also, unsurprisingly, the group has a handful of gay fanboys and the members love them. And honestly I am so against shipping, yet even I can see that Wow and Byeongkwan definitely seem like a couple and it would not surprise me at all if they ended up being a couple (especially after I saw one vid when an mc said "oh you two don't seem very close" and byeongkwan just pulled a face like "oh sweetie you really have no idea"). (once again, it's nice to see that he's comfortable with a lot of things, like his drama role where he played a guy crossdressing in order to learn how to dance. he's cute, and he takes very gay selfies, but he still doesn't really ping me.) Yanan: gay. this isn't a popular opinion but I've been convinced for a while, because his backstory of "so popular with the girls in school but never dated anyone and just had a couple of close girl friends" is really common among gay idols. He also doesn't shy away from "feminine" things at all, which always makes me happy to see (especially since his parents clearly tried to force a lot of toxic masculinity onto him.) He's also like in love with Cristiano Ronaldo (and started stanning him for his looks, he wasn't even that into soccer before). He's had his gay moments with some of the other members (I love how he has 0 hesitation to ever kiss anyone) but he really comes into his own on the show he's on in China right now (CYZJ), I really recommend it. oh, also the iconic "why can't *I* get a boyfriend" moment at a fansign...lmao (..............I might be a little Yanan biased lol) Yuto: straight...I can't really think of anything that's ever made me think otherwise Kino: one of the gayest boys I've ever seen in my whole life. And I truly do think that Yanan’s feelings in return are real too, the things he says and does for Jun are extremely genuine. Realistically, they probably still only are crushing on each other and not dating yet, but I'll be keeping a close eye on them after the show is over....
