I remember them... wow, they are still together? What a trip. I remember reading up on them in 2013 when I first found this thread.

 

Both was (is?) a VJ on Channel V Thailand and I remember when he was flirting hard with Sehun while EXO-K was doing an interview in their early days. Actually it could have been New Year that was the host, idk.

 

funnily enough, i remember doing this as well and following them on social media for the cuteness, thinking it would end quickly.

they really seem to be in it for the long haul though and that makes me happy. they're absolutely adorable together.

yoongi as a girl gets all of Bangtan. i remember when he dressed up as a maid in Rookie King and Jungkook (lol, ironic hes being dicussed right now) said he should make him his girlfriend.

 

Yoongi def is the type that manages to attract the attention of guys in a sexual/romantic way and I wonder how he feels about it. i think part of the reason he attracts them is that he suddenly looks pretty and feminine but hes just as gruff as he always is and has a strong personality.

Jungkook is so odd for me. I don't think he's gay so much as bisexual. I think he enjoys good looking people and feeling good. he's in an intense pressure cooker and has spent the majority of his teen years and years of sexual awakening around these boys. it wouldnt surprise me if there was some latent attraction that he toyed with but never actually acted on!

Not to play into stereotypes - he could just be straight, after all, I don't know him personally - but I can't be the only one who sees it.

Jin is such a difficult call for me. he is VERY stereotypical and it makes you want to call him gay but then you dont want to fall into stereotypes but then again Jokwon and Heechul and Key all fit stereotypes and we have no problem being pretty damn positive that they're gay.

 

i think with Jin the problem is that he is not the social butterflies the others are and sticks mainly to his group and has no blatent examples of really being into men but i think he is.

i'm on a 17 kick again and the most obvious one is still Seungkwan. i see him following in the footsteps of heechul and jokwon and key overtime. a glass closet for sure.

 

vernon was more open and pinged me more predebut. after debut he seems to have gotten loads quieter. although, his interactions with seungkwan will never not be sus. i swear to god predebut they were each other's first boyfriends. everything in 17 tv practically screams that.

 

jeonghan still doesn't ping me. he likes the attention but he's not attracted to boys.

 

jun seems a possibility but he's so quiet. 

 

scoups feels pingy sometimes.

 

joshua is tricky. he seems religious but flamboyent. i have no clue with him. 

 

i have no solid opinions on anyone else.

I could see that being the case with Seungkwan.. It's hard to say about Jun, because he is generally a random/silly guy, but it's only somewhat recently that he started kissing the members like this. I definitely think he's gay (or at least bi) and I feel like he has become more comfortable with himself lately (whether that's related to his sexuality or not, I don't know). 

 

Random thought, but I think SVT would be a good group to be gay in (relatively speaking). All the members seem to like and support each other so much, and there hasn't been any homophobic comments/vibes from any of them at this point. 

 

it honestly feels as though the more new your group is, the less of a problem it would be to be gay.

like, the younger people's mindset (at least in the entertainment industry) is def moving forward. with groups like 17 and astro and nct all seeming to have lgbt members and who seem like they have a modicum of safety within their group simply because the atmosphere seems accepting.

thanks. i've watched shining diamonds so many times and woozi is the only one who feels a need to guide his partner. it's adorable and he does it almost every time.

 

my two cents about the recent speculation:

1. Vhope did not kiss, but it wasn't a water bottle sound either, imo. They aren't going to kiss on a live broadcast randomly like that,  that would be ridiculous to do, no idol would dare do that during a live broadcast- at least not on purpose, unless it was for a game. It's too risky and illogical for that to have happened. 

 

2. VHope is still suspicious to me because of the change in their dynamic. They used to be among the closest, just had such a close, affectionate relationship. Taehyung used to look at Hoseok like he was the fucking sun. Then something changed and they became noticeably awkward and distant, and eventually become less close. Now I'd say Tae is the the most wary/cautious/careful around Hoseok. It's very noticeable, although they seem to be doing a lot better together recently, it's obvious that something happened and really affected whatever they used to have together. 

 

Don't get me wrong, all of BTS are very close and like family, but the change in VHope's affection, dynamic, and interactions was almost painfully obvious bc even now, Taehyung looks sort of careful around Hoseok. I'm not saying they are not close because they are, but there's a noticeable difference from then, to now. 

 

It's like even though they are still close and good around, both of them seem more careful and cautious around one another and I'm not sure why that happened. 

 

I don't ship really, I guess I ship some as brotps (VMin, NamJin, TaeJin, and so on) but despite not being a shipper, I really do feel like certain BTS ships are suspicious 

 

Like, I don't personally believe they are actually dating, but looking at facts, events, dynamics, etc. I really feel suspicious of some ships, and VHope is one of them. I'm not saying they are dating, or that they have dated, but I do find that change in dynamic between them....pretty odd? 

 

And the way they handled those kisses before (waaaaay back), at least from one of the two members, told a lot. 

 

Jihope are not really suspicious, mostly since they are both so excessive with their skinship.

 both of them are the most into skinship and fanservice even with all the other members. So them being so extra touchy with each other is no surprise since they are both very clingy, touchy with all the members. 

It's like putting two koalas together. They are clingy with anything, but together, they're the clingiest, since they're naturally clingy. 

It's like VMin. They're platonic but do so much skinship, because they are both very touchy naturally. Same for JiHope. 

 

But like....just sometimes it honestly seems to cross a line with them compared to the rest of BTS. I don't want to write a fanfiction but the thought has crossed my mind that they've been in some sort of physical...experience? together. I don't think they are dating but I would NOT be surprised to find out they were somewhat involved in some way, but then again I'm just overanalyzing everything. 

 

It doesn't help my delusion that both of them ping me the most in BTS along with Taehyung. 

 

My thoughts about Jimin and Hoseok are always funky, bc on one hand, they are so gay that I can't imagine them not being gay, and yet at the same time there's a part of me that could see them being very very straight....but there's also something so...gay....about them. They confuse me more than anyoen in BTS except maybe Namjoon. 

 

BTS as a whole are very confusing to me. Except for Taehyung, Suga, and the Antichrist. 

 

BTS seem to be very fluid and open people and as such they really are hard to pin down. the only one i'm certain of is Suga. he's most certainly bi/pan.

 

even jungkook, who i was sure  was straight, even makes me question him sometimes. 

 

put all of them together and they're so comfortable with each other that it becomes even harder to figure out.

This wasn't addressed to me but I'm going to respond anyway. I really can't link you to videos and stuff showing the change in their relationship because I don't even know if such videos exist.

 

When I joined the fandom in early 2014, I was a Taekook shipper but even then I had noticed just how close Vhope were. Literally almost every BTS video had some kind of Vhope interaction whether it was them cracking jokes together, dancing together, sitting on each other, playing around together etc. Also, they were VERY touchy. They both used to hold hands, hug and all that. In fact, they were the most popular ship in the fandom at that time ( can you imagine? )

Fans who joined the fandom mid-2014 and afterwards will NEVER understand just how close Vhope were.

 

They started acting distant/awkward in Danger era and there was a time when they just stopped interacting. This was when MANY Vhope shippers moved on to Taekook (there are actually some famous tumblr and twitter accounts like this). The lack of interactions pretty much killed the ship, but in 2015 Vhope started getting a little more comfortable again and that's the Vhope you see today.

 

They're still obviously close and Taehyung still adores Hoseok, but when two people even being seen in the same frame together is considered a "moment" for the ship, you just know how much the dynamics have changed. And most Vhope shippers I've seen usually even cling on to such "moments".

They are still so painfully awkward sometimes I can't deal with it. There are days when they act normal but it's usually Tae craving for Hoseok's attention and getting ignored.

I've also noticed that most of the awkwardness stems from Hoseok. There was this one moment in some concert when Tae leaned in for some reason and Hoseok literally fell on his back in his attempt to get away. The same Hoseok who has no problem getting all up in Jimin's face. Taehyung too has become kind of cautious in what he does or says when it comes to Hoseok.

 

The drastic change in relationship dynamics is something most people won't understand unless they've watched Vhope more or less since their debut.

 

Anyway, I was watching some Vmin videos a few weeks ago( yes I'm THAT Vmin trash) and this awfully angsty Vhope video was on my "Recommended":

Like this whole video saddens me but there is a specific moment at 2:20 when Tae reaches for Hoseok's hand and Hoseok pulls his hand away. Taehyung's face at 2:29 immediately after just breaks my heart. He looks SO UPSET. I don't feel like talking about them anymore ugh.

 

This! Hobi started to constantly run away from V, he's calmed down on it a bit but he's still leaning away from him or flat out ignoring him. And V is always vying for his attention, did you see Hobis bday vLive? V physically stuck himself to Hobi for most of it.

 

Hobi is always up in Jimins grill and it does feel like Jimin tries to avoid being too obvious/affectionate back to him on screen, maybe because of V, but whenever Jimin doesn't think the cameras on him, you see him throwing big grins at Hobi.

Lmao I used to see it similarly at the start, not necessarily romantically but they seemed to show a lot of interest in each other, V likes Hobi > Hobi likes Jimin > Jimin likes JK > JK likes Jin

And RM likes Jin. I didn't see Yoongi and Jin really vying for anyones interest like the others seemed to.

i have never seen anyone perform this song with quite so much anger.

 

it feels like this performance was very cathartic for him. obviously we don't know if he really is gay or not but all signs seem to point to yes and it can't be easy, even as a celebrity to be gay in a majority homophobic country. this performance really felt like a "fuck you" to everyone who had ever judged him or said he was wrong or looked at him funny because he's not the same as everyone else.

i also wanted to say something in regards to Taehyung/fanservice in general. i've noticed this before and it's happening again. ALOT of what idols do can be chalked up to fanservice. however, they don't only live and breath fanservice. at some point, aspects of their real selves bleed in a bit. i honestly believe Tae is just a SUPER tactile person who would have done what he did, cameras or no. he wasn't thinking, he just did. it was very obviously a reflex action. i don't think it's definitive proof he likes boys either, as he probably would have done it to any of the boys tbh.

it is so obvious that Seungkwan loves Vernon and it's obvious Vernon knows.

what isn't obvious is how Vernon feels. he's very indulgent of Seungkwan and in pre-debut videos, they appeared to be together, but after debut, Vernon seemed to become much more aware of the public eye in a way in hadn't been before. i don't think he's trying to tease Seungkwan but i don't think he's nearly as comfortable about being open with himself as Seungkwan is.

Ugh :( I feel so bad for all of the LGBT people in conservative countries. Maybe if someone like Park Bo-Gum and some other K-celebrities came out it would lead to more acceptance/normalization? yeah, the situation sucks, but i think we really just need to wait for some of these 2nd/3rd gen idols to finish military and then see what happens.

I agree. In my opinion Vernon has been suspect for a long time. I'll probably be in the minority here but I believe we tend to overestimate the age at which people start solidly developing attractions to whatever given group/s they like and acting on them. Vernon was probably one of the most suspect members predebut in my opinion.

i mean, why do you think CHILDREN play at boyfriends and girlfriends. because not only are they emulating what they see on TV and in their homes, but because they're developing emotionally. my seven year old has had two crushes now and i believe they're legitimate. completely innocent but still, she has an idea of what she likes and the crush remains constant, not an ever changing thing. i don't think it means she's set on any one path yet, just that even kids begin to explore love and like in non-platonic ways far before we realize.

It's Jonghyun's birthday and Key has been posting about it on instragram. Kind of adding on to my post from a week or so ago about their relationship I thought I'd bring it here. I apologize if this comes off as shippy but since we recently had a conversation about their relationship status I thought it was worth posting here.

I think it's worth bringing up that Minho use to have the reputation of a hyung whore for reason. He really seemed to enjoy the attention he got from older male idols. I also think I remember reading that he wanted to be the maknae in Shinee but don't quote me on that.

 

Either way, he's always been kinda flirty with guys. Especially if they're older. I think he doesn't get discussed as much because he's in the same group with Jonghyun, Key and (arguably) Taemin who give off way more signals or hints. Which is a shame because I really wish there was more discussion about him here because he's interesting.

 

 

I really do think something is going on between them for roughly the last year if I'm being honest. Suspicious stuff just keeps adding up with them and the fact that Jonghyun is no longer hitting on anyone is telling.

 

Also Shinee had two days off between concerts in Japan. Onew, Minho and Taemin stayed there and seems like they're getting a mini-vacation. Key flew back, mostly likely in prep for his new drama but what is interesting is Jonghyun flew back with him. As far as I know he doesn't have anything going on since he already did his final radio show. Considering the reason he left his radio show was how busy his schedule was going to be in Japan I can't think of a logical reason why he had to go back for two days. Possibly a new solo album but he could have done most of that in his hotel in Japan since he writes all of his own stuff now and this doesn't seem like a prime time to start working on that. I also feel like that would have been mentioned as one of his reasons for leaving the show or at least hinted at (he normally does give some heads up when he's working on new material). I'm probably reading way to much into it but I'm adding a raised eyebrow to my side eye.

no you make lots of sense. plus key and jjong have a history. we don't know exactly what it was obviously but it's not unusual to rekindle an old flame. i think that lends some creedence to the rise in personal interaction that we've seen.

 

they're both older now. key has obviously had relationships and jjong probably has too. they're in a new place where they can be actual adults about the situation and not teenagers who have no idea what a relationship entails. especially in the spotlight.

 

god i sound shippy. jjongkey is really one of maybe 3 or 4 kpop ships i believe has any credibility so i tend to speculate a bit more on it.
