I remember that name from the Olympics last year. :p

LMAO WHAT.

Here is the article btw.

Director Kim Jo Kwang Su to hold Korea’s first gay marriage

Director Kim Jo Kwang Su (48) will be holding Korea’s first gay marriage.

To celebrate, he held a press conference on May 15 outdoors at the cinema house Art Nine in Seoul. He was accompanied by his husband-to-be, Kim Seung Hwan (29). It’s the first time Kim Seung Hwan stepped into the spotlight as he always always described as the man that is 19 years the junior of the director. Kim Seung Hwan decided to reveal himself to the public after receiving blessings from his family and friends.

The director announced, “I’m going to invite Moon Jae In (presidential candidate), UN Secretary GeneralBan Ki Moon, and the President Park Geun Hye to my wedding. Even though President Park Geun Hye and I walk different roads both politically and philosophically, I think I should definitely invite her since shes’ the country’s president. I’m planning to invite many people who are in leading positions in Korea. I hope they can provide help in the advancement for the rights of the sexual minority.â€

His wedding is scheduled to be held on September 7. However, even when he does get married ceremonially, his marriage will still hold no legal weight in Korea. On this, the director stated, “Homosexuals should be given the same rights as heterosexuals. We’re going to work hard to legalize gay marriage in Korea.â€

I would LOVE to see any of these people at their wedding, maybe HSC will come as well?

I can't wait to see who shows up, and if this will change anything regarding gay rights in South Korea. Maybe they could try what this couple in Taiwan did? File a lawsuit if their application to marry is rejected?

I don't think a lawsuit would really do much T.T

I hope HSC goes. It would be pretty sweet.

Sorry for the late reply T_T

I didn't see a thread for it when I posted it, but that was a while ago.

No problem. Have I mentioned that I love your sig?

I think you're right. Gosh, but I'm so desperate for some change, sometimes I feel like going there and do something because it's breaking my heart.

I don't even want to imagine the amount of hate that Kim Jo Kwang Su & his future husband are probably receiving right now.

Well I think this will at least make people more aware? I also kinda shows that gay people are done hiding and they won't do what homophobic people want anymore.

Although they are receiving a lot of hate I'm sure they are also receiving support at least from the gay community ^^

We have to be positive and hope they can go trough all of this.

It's sooo difficult to be positive sometimes, from reading the comments only I feel like crying my eyes out or screaming. But I'm happy to see that SK has strong, brave people like them ready to fight for equality.

I hope the wedding will be spectacular. I hope all K-Pop divas will attend and let their rainbows glow in a fabulous parade led by Queen G-Dragon.

it's not totally hopeless, specially if you compare the situation of 15 years ago and nowadays

it's always more productive to be positive after all

Hopefully many people will attend the wedding. :)

Hyeongseop with Key's dog:

Hmm, looks like he's at SHINee's dorm?

Omo! I bet Key finally had time to spend time with him. ;A; And the photo Key posted from a few days ago was just from him missing Hyeongseop.

Yes, I remember these articles and I was super happy to see some of the positive comments; honestly, I think that's why I was surprised to see all the negative comments about this wedding. Of course people seem to open up but there's still work to be done and when I see all these homophobic comments I don't know what to think anymore.

But South Korea is definitely moving forward, there's no denying it; and the fact that gay people are starting to speak up is helping tremendously.

I'm happy to see progress of course, even if it's just baby steps. But I'm even happier when I see positive reactions, rather than "ewww a picture of two men kissing, how gross".

But you're right, it's not totally hopeless and the situation has improved a lot. It's wonderful to see how open-minded the younger generation can be sometimes. :)

Aw, I’ve missed Myungjong being precious together :lub:

Well, if there was any doubt before, there sure isn't now, there's no way that's a platonic relationship. That look on his face is the look of someone very deeply in love. And his actions, it's almost uncomfortable to watch because they are so intimate. I would never touch one of my guy friends like that unless I was interested in him...

Sorry dp

Here's Diva Yoochun to apologize; perfect way to start a new page. :p
