Those were some pretty strong breakup feelings--through many songs--for a relationship that would have lasted only a few weeks in LA, lol. I mean, maybe I'm wrong, but I'm pretty convinced he and Sehun had a thing and the lyrics of a lot of his songs seemed to hint towards that. Also, I don't know if you're following Tao as much since he left, but he's had many a gay moment since he left EXO. While watching him on Real Men I'm pretty sure he's got a bit of a crush on Sunyang, the Olympic swimmer lmao (I've seen some of his moments with Sun Yang and I kinda feel this somewhat innocent crush might be mutual, albeit more on Tao's side) I'm so glad you brought this up because I wanted to talk about this before, but I forgot! I’ll wipe away your tears because I want you to smile, all right? You’re always accompanying me and watching me grow. Are you all right now? In the experiences there, all of my memories - continue preserving them on my behalf, all right? Even if I’m kneeling, I’ll accompany you as you go. Deal with it. It's statistically impossible that every single "oppa" out there is straight. There's gay people among idols, there are lesbians, there are bi people, everything on the spectrum. Some are probably out in those circles, some are probably in secret relationships/hookups (not saying with each other tho! just in general! and regardless of their sexuality, relationships do exist - they just hide them so fans can go on pretending idols belong to them which the companies are pushing onto us with everything they do), some are probably closeted and will never come out...all of these things are likely happening right now. Not all people in the world are straight, not all idols are straight. People here are just speculating (due to various reasons, some of which might be plausible and some of which might be not), none of us claim to know for sure, but when you come in here and say "this idol is straight 100% because I say so" - you're doing just that. You're assuming, when it's not your business to do so. It's not anybody's business. Ain't nobody asked you to do that. Your oppas don't need to be "defended" against being thought of as possibly gay by some people - being gay isn't something shameful to begin with, you're just being ugly and homophobic when you go around and fight everyone who dares to even think that they might not be straight. What's doing that going to change? But the true nature of their relationship...Idk. They're so close they could be best friends forever, or something more and it's still hard to tell. They're so close Johnny can just say he wants to visit Ten's house and Ten can say his father likes Johnny and smiles while seeing him performing. Whatever it is, I think Ten is open to him, when the others asked Ten's teachers about him being popular with girls, he basically turned around to search for Johnny and looked at him in a "help me" kind of way. KentasGlittery EyeMakeup 36,570 Posted January 7, 2017 Share Posted January 7, 2017 I felt this one was relevant to the interests of this thread: I feel as if my own parents have just been reunited - he even titled it "With GunHee" I'm Gunhee slightly shaking my head in disapproval and then jumping on my boo playfully afterwards I can't believe Heenim is a grown ass man, when I look at him like this, if I didn't know, I'd think he was a teenager that whole video is a lot to take in - from his outfit with the cape (?) that has ears and eyes and his name on it, to his dance moves and expression, to the look G gives him in the middle of it, and the ending, which is my favorite part I wonder who was filming this, if I'm not mistaken, I'm hearing a male laughter in the background I'm sure he read the translated lyrics at least once. Edit: Bonus! another reason why I feel he must have known is having Namjoon in his group - I'm sure he helps them with the English lyrics (and I always think groups have somebody in their teams who must be good at English cause of all the international stuff etc) that bonus is one of my favorite cfs ever while he might not understand "be my man" depending on his level of english (it's imperative form of 'to be,' which can be a bit odd i think? who knows), "my man" is ... basic AF. he could assume the "yo, my maaann!" vibe from it, but like Aisling said he likely read a general translation and would get that that vibe isn't in the song (even if he doesn't know which parts of which lines mean what) tl;dr yeah he very likely knows what he's singing. (thank god he didn't change it. gender swapping songs you're covering is one of my pet peeves) yup, yup, I agree with everything, especially the last sentence - me too bud Thank you don't mention it chiming in on the whole Jeonghan discourse - he's my bias in 17 and the person I pay the closest attention to in the group his interaction with women so far have been majorly limited and not exceptional at all, but from what I've seen of fansigns etc, it's the girls that don't take him that seriously, not the other way around - especially when he had longer hair, girls at fansigns would bring flower crowns, cat ears, princess crowns, hair accessories, angel aureolas, scrunchies etc as presents even more for him than any of the other members and I've even seen girls trying to do/braid his hair etc at those events, so I can't really deduce anything from that, except that he played along with everything happily (or so it seems) yeah, he was pushed as the pretty member (because - look at him), but did you notice how little makeup compared to the other members he wore? he was a lot less made up than most, but he was still the prettiest, and I think the fact that he was always done up simply is a lot due to him as a person - we've seen him complain many times about being mistaken for a girl/not taken seriously as a man, and I can understand why he would be upset with that I get a manly vibe for him, but that doesn't mean anything, cause manly man's men can be gay too, so that's not a telling sign to me of him being straight or anything like that I mean, when they asked him what his ideal type was back in their debut days, he said it was somebody who "loves and buys their albums" which is pretty gender neutral if you ask me the overall vibe he gives to me is a person who understands other people well and uses his charms to his advantage - no one can say he does not manipulate his members successfully and gets away with things other members might be called out for, he's very aware of his power and uses it for evil I think he loves the attention he gets, I mean, even when he was ranked as the last guy women would want to date among 17 members in that poll, he was upset, but he thanked them for giving him the last place and giving the attention to him again (because the last place was talked about) I can tell a lot of things he does is fanservice and he does them because he's aware of the cameras, but there were plenty of times where I felt he was truly enjoying himself and wanted to do what he was doing he likes flirting and being spoiled by men, and I don't think a lot of completely straight guys (none?) would be like that and the times when he wasn't so aware of the cameras or he didn't know he was being recorded are interesting too for example: him and Seungcheol holding hands like this (I forgot where this was, was it an airport? idk) so what I can conclude from all of his behavior and interaction with men is that he's probably not completely straight, but that's just my opinion I don't know if he's gay or bi or something else, I would need to see him interacting with other people, especially women more, and I think in the upcoming years we'll get to see more sides of him that'll help read him more I actually think he's really good at hiding his real emotions, there were times where I noticed he looked down or more or less empty and he sometimes gets in those moods where he's unreadable, he's still an enigma to me and I feel I've only cracked the surface so far but yeah, he's manly as hell and people who thought he wasn't because he's pretty and has long hair are W-R-O-N-G I've once dabbled in reading 17 fanfics and gave up after like 3 stories because they all portrayed him as some fragile maiden and I feel that's as far from his real personality as it can get 4 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
