And where did I bring up Gunhee in that second statement you quoted? I asked a question, skipped a line, and then stated an observation I had in regards to kpop and the state of the thread. I never said Gunhee was an idol but I see what you were trying to do.

 

Different people with different thoughts but there's a consensus or rather, there are idols majority of users here agree on such as Key and Sungjong. Maybe to a lesser extent Jonghyun and Heechul. I'm not so sure where V stands right now but based on the various responses I got last time, I'm gonna assume majority of you guys here don't think he is straight.

It's true that there are some idols who seem to "ping" for everyone. Is that what you mean by a consensus? It happens, but there are just as many we have differing opinions, and speaking as though there are lists or something makes it seem like we're some sort of hive mind, which we aren't. 

 

As for your inquiry about V, I can't say whether he's straight, gay, bi, whatever, since I'm not that familiar with him, but he is definitely fabulous.

lol true dat. Heechul used to be like that too, but he cooled down a lot. In exchange, he became "one of the girls" instead. 

 

Jaejoong is a pretty sure bet in my mind. I've followed him for years, and he's one of the ones I'm most sure on. I'd put him at the same level as Heechul.

 

I never got any vibes from Hunhan. I was always kind of confused why they were such a popular ship tbh. I think I'm one of the few who doesn't think Luhan is straight though. Xiuhan was a little too intense for me to think that boy could be 100% inflexible    I personally don't think it's something he really accepts about himself or that he ever did anything about the attraction though.

 

You're not alone. Everything I ever saw and read about Lu Han made me think gay, gay, gay. He seems like he actually used to be more comfortable with it than he is now. Also seems like a guy very burdened by the weight of the expectations of the people around him, be it his fans, the public eye, and, probably most of all, his parents.

About Jaejoong, there is always one thing I was never able to explain, while still believing he's probably gay because of everything else. It's his infamous episode against his sasaengs where he was drunk and got mad at them and told them how he hated not being able to live his life because of them, not being able to date a girlfriend normally. I mean he was drunk, this wasn't a moment supposed to be recorded in any way, it was just him being fed up with their shit, so I have a hard time believing he would choose his words carefully at a time like this, so the fact that he said 'girlfriend'. I don't know. Maybe he is bi, maybe he was still kind of in denial at that time. I was wondering if it had maybe been discussed in the past, as I'm sure Jaejoong has been discussed a lot here. 

 

Oh, I remember that. He went on like a 10 minute drunken rant to some stalker fan of his, right? Then when it came out in 2012/2013(?) he was all "sorry, not sorry" about it lol.

Anyway, even drunk, there's some shit you keep locked up tight. It doesn't really surprise me. There are some lines you're just ingrained not to cross.

Personally, I never saw Jaejoong as bi. He was the first one of DBSK who I thought "damn, that guy is extra-strength gay." Forget a glass closet, that closet is just an imaginary closet.

 

 

For somebody with such loose lips, he seems to have a surprising amount of self control under high stress situations.

 

Judging from the audio transcript, his own personal definition of "losing control" seemed to involve flicking persistent stalkers in the forehead (who would then call the police in order to extort him for money... the same police who refuse to get involved when he calls to report the stalkers). Not a great thing to be doing, but not exactly a major assault. A lot of people would be straight up beating the shit out of a stalker in their version of drunken "losing control", so I think that proves pretty well that even when he does feel like he's lost control he still maintains certain lines that he automatically doesn't cross. Not intentionally explicitly outing himself is probably just one of those lines.

This probably doesn't belong here, but I had a sudden thought today regarding Jaejoong; it might even seem farfetched so I apologize in advance; and let me preface by saying that this is just an alternate opinion and by no means a fact.

 

I've been reading a lot about Jaejoong in here and one of the main reasons people think he might be gay is because he's very outspoken about his lack of relationships with girls. Now, I don't actively follow Jaejoong; never have and probably never will, but it seemed to me that he was very specific and in a way proud (or so it seemed to me) about his dislike for girls in several forms.

 

Not wanting to hang out with them, not having an interest in having professional or friendly relationships (assuming here from what has been said in this thread), not having any females on his contact list, expressing jealousy about how the attention on him falters when a female is around and such. Could this be an indication of some sort or just flat out misogyny?

 

There is a clear distinction between a man not being attracted to women -hinting towards his sexual preferences- and having an apparent contempt for women.

 

Idk, something just clicked today while catching up on this thread and I wanted to share. Again, apologies if this doesn't belong in here.

 

Not being sexually interested in women isn't the same as being a woman hater. If he meshes better with men and is only sexually interested in men to boot, why wouldn't he have mostly male friends? He might see women as competition for male attention, but I haven't seen him treat women in general with contempt, at least not when I followed him. I don't doubt there are gay guys who are misogynists (sadly), but I don't think Jaejoong is one of them.

On topic, I'm pretty sure Baekhyun is bi or gay and Xiumin is either straight or pan. He's confusing at times, but if he does like more than one gender I'm pretty sure he doesn't really care what they are. He's pointed out that he doesn't have a certain ideal type and personality is the most important thing. He did say he's attracted to pretty people tho, that's like the most detailed thing he's ever said about his preferences lol.

 

I've noticed that whenever Baek does stuff like that to Xiumin, he's never surprised, more like, "Really, Baekhyun? Again?" 

 

His answer to an ideal type always amused me because it's exactly what I say when I'm asked, especially around people I'm not out to.
