Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

I snapped and I wrote a whole rant under that video why can't I just ignore the heteros *heavy sigh*

Omg yes, the double standard is so disgusting( It's usually straight fangirls who make it)

Send them the fanarts too.

Edit: So guys, is Jimin gay or bi in your opinion?

Please only queer people respond, bc last time there was amount of straight fangirls trying to prove his attraction for women.

I'd actually go with bi? I'm not expert enough to go back finding proof but I've seen a couple of instances he actually looked interested in girls. Maybe I'm misinterpreting his reactions, but I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out that he likes girls as well.

Idk how he feels about women, but I think he's shown pretty clear attraction to men. I mean, Taehyung said it, not me:

(Don't take this as shipping. I just couldn't find the bottom two gifs on their own, rip)

Also, literally what is the hetero explanation for this:

the hetero explanation is "he's just rEalLy pLaYfUUUUl y'all misunderstand him poor playful self :(  he was just trying to playfully promote his friend's dick listen to me Jimin is not gay!!! I know because I'm Korean so I can fake I know shit and everyone takes me seriously!"

My bitter self jokes aside, how can't people see how much Vmin dynamics is the gay best friends one.

Also, I just want to say Namjoon for me is someone who could easily be hiding whilst not hiding.

He goes so under the radar in general, but at the same time he's said and done some really open-minded (aka Ghei) things and I love him. I understand it is in the Korean nature to be complimentary but brother man takes it to another level at times.

Honestly, I really struggle with the concept that anyone in this group is 100% straight. You could write a uni thesis on BTS, they're so intriguing.

I agree, totally. He's also the one who better knows western culture out of the 7 of them, I'm pretty sure he knows the implications of calling someone "sexy".

If someday it turned out he was actually the most openly LGBT of them all, I wouldn't be surprised at all lmao

I noticed that the easiest way to stop fans spreading something you don't like is to tell "guys, I read somewhere that he said he's upset about this". Usually no one asks when or where, probably because of the language barrier, so they just accept it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were referring to the old days in which he was trying to be hypermasculine and said something about it? If he was upset about it now I doubt he would've commented on Shawn Mendes the way he did. Ok, in Korea it's more common to compliment other men but come on.

That Jimin video got taken down. I think it got mass-flagged by some fans.

The hets succeeding at suppressing innocent gay culture again.

From the golden disc awards, the performance of Fake Love. Absolutely not saying this has anything to do with anything specifically but again looks at people being chained/shackled in boxes and wearing masks.

It seems to be an ongoing theme with BTS.

I'd say the one from Melon Music Awards was even more suspicious:

1:50. Them being chained inside a closet (which is also the theme of their photoshoots for LY: Answer) and being forced to wear masks out of it.

After a long ass intro on how we hide ourselves to please the world.

I mean they could've chosen all the ways to represent themselves being caged, yet they chose the closet.

One could also point out that the colors shooting at 14:08 before Hoseok's solo are those of the bisexual flag, but I mean, that is a bigger reach.

I don't think the point with BTS was the performance itself or the fact that they were being chained, but the whole concept that gravitates around fake love and not being true to oneself. Sure, it could all be one big coincidence, it could be all their team's decision and maybe they don't understand it, but I seriously doubt Namjoon didn't think of it one bit.
Having said that, it's not a proof of anyone being gay, but yeah.

Regarding dispatch, yes they'd probably want to out gay couples as well, but I don't think they will. They are silent even on most heterosexual couples (Does anyone really believe that there are only one or two idol couples a year? Seriously?), outing a gay couple seems more detrimental to their reputation than anything else.

Plus the type of evidence they usually bring won't work for gay couples, like in Jikook's case above, they'd have to go with a bigger invasion of an idol's privacy. Too much even for dispatch.

I don't think they'll out anyone unless the said couple is complacent.

I'm sorry, but the heteronormativity in this video and the comment section is.....somethin' else.

Are the straights ok? I'm genuinely worried for them at this point.

Because of course all a man has to do in front of a woman is to look as if she were an object, every other reaction is abnormal.

idols: say they like men, stare at and get flustered by hot guys, name male celebrities as their crushes, recommend stacks of lgbt artists

straights: lmao people tryna assume their sexualities, stop reaching

idols: have a completely expressionless face in front of a girl, maybe don't even look at her

straights: no one can deny the burning passion

Reminds me of people's reaction when Jimin had that very gay reaction with the hot interviewer. When the joke became insistent and was brought out of twitter, koreans and international fans flooded in to "defend him" by saying that he was just curious because the man was black (??????), that they had proof that he would be offended if he knew such things were said about him (?????????).

Yet, for every reaction he gives to a female idol everyone is like "wow, he likes them, look how thirsty". The double standard stinks.

And it's not that I'm saying that he couldn't like girls, but it just drives me so mad.

Same with Jungkook not giving an absolute fuck about the sexy performances, they find every excuse to that except that, maybe, he simply doesn't care. I can't stand it.

But I mean, they tried to do the same with Ten at hit the stage, saying that he looked away from the hetero couple because he was "shy".

Do you even have eyes, Karen?

Just as a slight off topic but Bighit rolled out its new boyband today, or at least the first member and it looks like we're in for a loooong week ahead. I think I'm going to be calling this TDU - The Di$traction Unit - because it's obviously a gap-filling measure in the likely event of BTS members enlistment within the next year or two.

Bighit will want to keep those tills ringing in their absence and what better way to do it than with a group Hobi himself coached. Bighit are really clever in many ways, they know how to 'endear' ARMY to the new group by having Hobi touch it with his godlike hand, rather than just dropping it unannounced on a cold floor in front of everyone.

ARMY are predictably losing their shit already. But in a sense I'm hoping that if this new unit proves to be a reasonable distraction from ardent fans focusing solely on BTS, it might give BTS members a bit more freedom, creatively and/or otherwise. It could work in their favour and take some pressure off them. Let's see.

I don't think BTS is going to the military in the next year or so. The "expiration date" for Jin is in at least 3 years, considering '89 idols enlisted in 2018, none has interest to make them enlist before being forced to do so, seeing the stellar amount of profit and prestige they're bringing to their Country.

Having said so, I truly hope they'll be more artistically free, something they clearly would like to do, and who knows which surprises that could bring.

Still, I don't think they'd get in anything too controversial or brave when they're still in the spotlight, which I think they're going to be for a while.

Edit: I just realized the next one or two years is correct because it's 2019 already, damn I'm getting old and they're getting old as well help.

As far as I'm aware, enlistment age was brought down to 28 from 30 this year.

"BTS' Korean ages in 2019Seokjin: 28 Yoongi: 27 Hoseok: 26 Namjoon:26 Jimin: 25 Taehyung: 25 Jungkook: 23

I've read that the implementation of the law is being pretty lax for idols, but yeah if that would be the case Jin is going to the military pretty soon.

Still, I'm ready to bet that won't happen.

The general public would likely be enraged if they were to be exempt, but it's counterintuitive to send the most successful and profitable group to the military next year already. There's real economic interests for everyone in this matter.

Who knows how they'll handle that, if they'll enlist in groups or go one by one. But maybe I'm wrong and we're one comeback away from Jin's enlistment, who knows lmao.

But sure, bighit is planning the new group to be successful enough when the moment will come for BTS.

You mean that anime about the boys swimming team? Lol it catered so much girls that even I wouldn't be able to watch it unironically  (and I'm a girl ) laugh.png laugh.png

Yeah, the one in which the main point were the half naked boys lmao I've never been able to watch it.

Kinda OT but :

I seriously and unironically like Free!. The first season was pure fanservice, but very pleasantly so as it didn't take itself seriously (I mean you could tell that the writers were having a lot of fun teasing the yaoi fangirls with the most ambiguous scenes possible), and the dynamics between characters are great, whether you ship them or not.

Second season is much more serious and less fanservice-y, but in exchange it's actually interesting theme-wise ; Haru (the main character) is in his last year of high school and has choices to make regarding his future, except he's depressive and doesn't know what he wants to do anymore. So even if it's not revolutionary, there's good character development, and as with all shows the studio has done, the rhythm is good so it's an easy watch, with top-notch technical execution (KyoAni has the best animation even on their TV shows).

Granted I'm in the target demographic to begin with (as an anime fan and an unrepenting, equal opportunity shipper) but I was pleasantly surprised by that show.

I do agree that Jungkook even starting to watch that show is hella suspicious, but that he liked it doesn't surprise me at all. Because behind all the fanservice there's themes that probably speak to him - friendship, competition, sacrificing your youth for something uncertain but you're passionate about.

Sorry, even though I couldn't get past the first episodes, I didn't mean to undermine it >> I'm sure he could've been watching it for the most various reasons, it's just that given my memory of it i found it hella suspicious lmao

There's even a famous facebook page in my country called "I watch "Free!" for the plot. Sure thing." and it's a common joke that if a guy watches it he isn't straight.

Jungkook's living in the closet, we been knew

He lives in a closet, has a studio named golden closet with rainbow lighting in it.

If he's 100% straight and Namjoon didn't tell him.......PFFFFFFFT.
