it's kinda ridic how much kpop has saturated image search :P. you can look up basically anything and within 20 pages you will find a pic of SNSD or lee joon or someone.

I know it doens't really mean anything, but when did they suddenly become close, i mean woohyuna nd sungjong was never known to be close. ANd that is true lol sungjong is his brother favorite member in infinite

actually, i think sungjong mentioned on one weekly idol ep that woohyun is actually one of the members he's more comfortable with (and he stopped attaching -hyung to his name early on -- though later on i hear that infinite pretty much completely stopped using honorifics)

I dont know i think it was just to be funny, with sunggyu and stuff all behing the back. I mean sungjong should be closest to hoya no? aside from myungsoo but he did rank hoya pretty high up also

by "comfortable" i think it meant politeness-wise.

 

meaning even if he's friendly with hoya or sunggyu, he is stricter about politeness whereas with dongwoo and woohyun he can relax and pretend like they're the same age.

He is comfortable with woohyun but that doesn't mean he is close to him? does it make sense lol? I dont know because i've been following infinite for a long long time, and woohyun and sungjong were not really that close. They were never spotted together, until very recently and now frequently also in just a span of two weeks. and just the two of them. I dont know i just find it  that they suddenly got close

it doesn't mean he is close.

 

but it would be extremely awkward for him to drop honorifics if they weren't somewhat close, seeing how both sungjong and woohyun are native koreans who were born and raised in only korea.

 

if one or more of them were from abroad or spent a lot of time abroad, there could be alternative explanations, but dropping honorifics hints at ... at least some closeness.

I agree with you there. He's not obviously flamboyant nor does he do any skinship so it's hard to find 'evidence'. For me though it's most obvious in his dancing and his interactions with females.

i kind of think it would be awkward for it to have a gay plotline just like 1997 (since... i mean, it should be about good writing and not about copying what works -- that's the whole reason 1997 was good to begin with), but if they show a different facet/s to homosexuality than previously dealt with (maybe family pressure, lavender marriage, lesbians, gay clubs/communities, gay relationships, etc), it will not feel gimmicky and instead advance what was previously on the table with 1997's showing tenderness and masculinity (thus rooting perception of gays as real people with positive feelings and not weird, barely-korean crazies).

 

we don't know if there will be any LGBT-influenced plotlines at all, though. hopefully HSC cameo-ing will result in at least a side plotline.

hong suk chun was in ep 1 of reply 1994 (which as of the end of episode 2 has no gay apparent gay characters, and pretty much no chance of one unless it's the baseball player guy or baro's character who have only just entered the scene).

 

anyway, i was really disappointed by the writing for suk chun's cameo... basically he was a military guy who attempted to sneak into bed with two of the male characters and was promptly kicked out of the boarding house. it was kind of greasy :/

the line at the end, "i wonder where will accept me," just kinda came off in the wrong way because of it.
