Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

...Why would he? Yoonjae didn't stop making skinship with hoya even after he knew he had a crush on him (I clearly remember the dramatic backhug he gave him before hoya moved to another house - they were living together- and that was when he already knew about his feelings towards him)

Plus, it's not really much skinship like milotic said

Well, I guess it's just me then. If I knew someone has or had a crush on me and I don't feel the same way, I would be considerate and I wouldn't be touching them so they won't misunderstand.

Junhee on top of Yunjae.... *has dirty thoughts* :hurr: :hehe:

So Bing got married to the girl???? What the actual fuck is going on?????

I really hate the writers of this show! What was the point of all the hints then?   :>_>:

I don't even know what to say. This ruined the whole show for me.

Here are the Bing cuts, if you want to watch them and break your heart even more...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uourn_IAiZg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkATs-yo01A

I really don't understand why they changed his character this much. First plot twist was the "brother" (Trash) who turned out the be in love with the girl. And now the "gay" character turns out to be straight...? Why did they do this??? This is so out of character. :/

Well... At least the scene when Bing called Trash 'hyung' was a touching moment. ;__;

I wonder why do we need 4 more episodes for though? We already know Trash is the husband.

I found the full text of the poster in Jonghyun's twitter DP and copy-pasted it into Google Translate.

Of course the translation is not perfect, but until someone translates it properly, here's a rough translation of what it says for those who are curious about it.

SIGH......D:::::: that red car though F******** troll! lol sighhh

I know right! That was such an asshole move of them, making us think it was Junhee. -.-

They gave Bing the worst kind of ending. I'm okay with him not being a couple with Trash. I'm even okay with that him not being a couple with Junhee.  But suddenly realising he's into chicks when he's already like 23-24 years old? How does that even make sense?

okay U KNOW I"M GOING TO BE DELUSIONAL FOR THAT DRAMA, since the director pulled off a shitty stunt making bing straigh, trash will be BI and will be hoyas man and chilbonggie will be with najung. I mean there is still 4 episode left, the director can't continue with najung x trash it would be predictable and boring to be honest, i mean there was no competition whatsoever with chilbongie

Trash already proposed to Najung and from the next ep. preview it looks like they will go and tell the parents about getting married. I know there's four episodes left but I really don't think there's a turning back from this point anymore.

then what is chilbongie doing lol?????? i mean from the start there is like no competition== n honestly the viewer are getting sick of it too cuz the rating drop since episode 14.

I have no idea. Maybe he'll find a girl in Japan and marry her. Next week, we'll see Haitai's love story. So I guess that means we'll find out what will happen to Chilbong in the last week's episodes. I don't think there will be any more shocking plot twists anymore. I think they'll just tie up the loose ends and that's it.

P.S- if they're trolling us now, and he does end up with Junhee and that girl is just a friend, then I would still be pissed at the producers. You can't do crap like this to people.

They are married. It's confirmed in the episode. :(

I just saw this going around on twitter and a bunch of other Korean people on there were making posts with similar points:

But... how is it not advocating LGBT rights? Like, even if the essay is making an overarching point about discrimination in general and the importance of empathy it still mentions problems faced by LGBT people and he obviously agrees with it enough to put it as his profile pic, so...? The fact that they keep mentioning "personal beliefs" and "personal decisions" makes me think they're just a bitter homophobe tbh.

Nah, what they were trying to say is that this whole equality campaign thing that's going on is not only about accepting the LGBT community, it is about accepting every minorities. There were some anti-discrimination law that they were trying to enact, but it got turned down (again), so in response, some students made posters about how discrimination is bad. There were several other posters with personal messages posted like the one in Jonghyun's DP, and I think the others didn't mention the LGBT. I'm not sure what the other posters were about, maybe racial or ethnic minorities, etc... So the LGBT is not the main focus of this campaign, but of course the LGBT is definitely one of the bigest minority groups that gets discriminated against.

And I'm sure there was a personal reason why Jonghyun chose this LGBT poster and not one of the others, so he himself definitely supports the sexual minorities, and that's what matters! ^^

Okay, yeah, bullshit.

I know how you feel. I still can't get over this.

The writers deserve the biggest trolls of the year award.

It is what they're saying, but that specific essay does seem to be LGBT-focused, and what's even more important in this case, Jjong seems to understand it that way. As an aside, I curse the Korean habit of talking around an issue.

Yeah, sorry. I was typing my post while you two were posting so I didn't see you already wrote what I wanted to write. ^^;

gonna post this music video from a few years ago (maybe like 7, lol) from taiwan. even though it has nothing to do with korean media.

i don't think gary cao is gay, but his music video is about acceptance and the sweet differences that surround us. he ended up shouldering a bunch of scandals for releasing this music video, i heard.

Reminded me of this.

This one was controversial as well, it got banned in Singapore for showing same-sex couples. There's a different version of this video, called the Rainbow Version, which only shows a straight couple and gay men having a foam party. That one was played on the tv, but the Ice Version (the one with the same-sex couples) wasn't.

I may be missing something here and that's not why they really hate active (?) allies.

I've seen a lot of those ally haters on Tumblr and Youtube.

From what I can gather, there are two main reasons why they don't really like allies.

(One.)

Straight allies supposedly get more credit for speaking against the discrimination of the LGBT community than LGBT people themselves.

Now, I really don't think this is true though. I mean yes of course, there are straight people who did things to raise awareness for these issues, like did Macklemore, and they do get support and nice comments for it. But there are also LGBT people in the mainstream media who did the same. For example, Frank Ocean who's gay and wrote songs about gay love, or Lady Gaga who identifies as bisexual, and her support for the LGBT community is pretty well known by everyone.

I don't think allies are stealing the spotlight at all but the ally haters seem to think so. They like to compare Macklemore with random underground LGBT activists, and talk about how those people don't get enough credit for what they are doing. But the thing is: those people don't get enough recognition not because they are gay but simply because no one knows who they are.

(Two.)

The other reason they often mention is that supporting the LGBT community should be the norm, and it's only decent human behaviour, therefore allies don't deserve a pat on the back for showing support. I agree with the first half of this statement, but I'm really confused about the second part. I've literaly never seen any ally acting all cocky about being an ally, so I have no idea where this idea of "they think they deserve a cookie for being a decent human being" comes from.

To sum it up: basicaly, they are just pissed at allies because they think that allies get more attention for the same things that they are doing. They seem to think fighting for human rights is like a competition or something. But they don't realise that they are fighting for the same thing, so it doesn't really matter whose voice is the loudest, as long as that voice gets heard. And whether they like it or not, there's power in numbers, so it's impossible to fight discrimination against any minority without the help of the majority.

Oh about Lady Gaga, they actually say that she is not a bisexual and only says she is for attention. You would have thought that them would know better but welp.

I've seen that, too. Some people were even asking for a proof of her being bisexual. That is the stupidest thing ever. It's not something that can be or should be proven.

I believe biphobia is just as bad as homophobia.

When a woman says she's bisexual, biphobes say she's straight and she just wants attention.

When a man says he's bisexual, they say he's gay and he's afraid to admit it. (That's what a lot of people've been saying about Tom Daley recently.)

Unfortunately, even many people in the LGBT community are biphobic. One might think the LGBT is like "a big family" and all of them support each other no matter what, but sadly, that is not the case. People are people. There are haters and idiots in every single community.

On the topic of viewing/reading pornographic material:

71.3% of 1,053 junior high school students admitted to vieweing/reading such material.

28.7% of 1,053 junior high school students are liars.

3. [+445, -66] Whether female or male, I think a lot of students experience those feelings in their school career. It's nothing to be embarrassed about, it's normal. You'll go back to who you should be once you enter college.

7. [+16, -9] Ah... I see. So our children have such thoughts. They're young, I can understand. I believe that when they become adults, they'll come back to being normal. I just hope that people don't lead(?) them down that path. I don't want informational surveys like this to be used to support homosexuality.

Ugh. They're saying don't worry about it 'cause they'll grow out of it. :soul:

It's true than in middle/highschool kids stills might not know what they're exactly attracted to and be confused. I myself though I was bisexual by then, puberty is a confusing period lol

#4 was nice because they said if the kids won't grow out of it, it's still okay. But three of those comments were saying these feelings are just a phase and "they'll come back to being normal". It is true that it might be a phase for some, but those comments also imply that if it wasn't a phase for you then you are not normal. That's not a nice message, even if they worded it nicely and carefully.

Teeh is gay, Nias is gay, Hanryu is gay... there are probably more but I can't remember right now.

I think you meant to write Tee?

Fourth time this happened... Should I change my username?

I think most asexuals get treated badly because of the romantic aspect of their life and not because of their sexual orientation. There are people who identify as homoromantic asexuals and live in a sexless relationship with someone of the same sex. Other people treat them as homosexuals and they get the same kind of homophobic remarks and discrimination that gay people get. Them being asexual will not save them from discrimination.

And then there's the aromantic ones, who might never want to be in a relationship and get married. They probably don't get as many hatred as people living in same-sex relationships, but people tend to treat them like they are not normal. I should know. I'm not asexual or aromantic but I haven't been in a relationship for a very long time, and I'm not looking for a relationship either, and people always assume there is something wrong with me - either physically or mentally - just because I'm not as sex-crazed as them.

Siwon is the gayest thing, I swear  :derp:

Shame that he's so super religious... I would be really shocked if guys like him or Kevin ever came out, even to their friends/families  :._.:

If Siwon is gay, he probably will never come out to his father.

I find this thread fascinating but one thing is starting to get on my nerves a bit. Most times when I read statements like "X is clearly so into women" or "X just seems really straight" I am disappointed to find them left hanging - as in, no evidence is offered. We're very keen on gathering and displaying evidence of 'gay' behaviour but rarely do I see anything to back up assertions of blatant heterosexuality. Not saying there is no 'proof' offered, but it's rare.

I'm not saying I believe the idols usually described as "really straight" are gay but I do often find myself asked "When? How?" when faced with claims that they are "clearly into women". And what does 'into women' even mean? That they check out women? That they sometimes act 'flirty' around girls? Well, so do I and I consider myself pretty gay. On the other hand, people also seem to have me pegged as straight most of the time, which I don't really feel I've given them any reason to.

I guess I just feel that sometimes the old 'straight until proven gay' lies at the root of some of these claims about obvious straightness (or bisexuality, for that matter). That's surely not always the case, but to know when it is, I would love to see more 'straight proof' (explanations / pics). ;)

/end rant

The complete lack of anything that would indicate they are not straight is the proof that they are (probably) straight for me. I think it would be harder to find proof of someone being straight than someone being gay in this industry since fangirls get pissed of if their oppa as much as looks at a girl. 98% of the time when idols are dating, it's kept a secret, and even in those rare cases when it's not a secret (Junhyung and Hara, for example) you cannot see them interact with each other. We can only see opposite sex couples with each other on variety shows but those are scripted, so you can't always trust what you see/hear on them.

But I don't see how saying someone is "definitely straight" is different from saying someone is "definititely gay" without any proof. Sometimes you simply don't need any evidence, you just look at a video of the person talking for a few minutes and you know. I think even people who have no idea who Jo Kwon is if they watched an interview with him, they could easily tell he's gay. I think it's the same with straight people. Sometimes you just know and you don't need any proof.

The problem is, people tend to correctly identify people who fit the "gender 'inverts'" stereotype and miss all the gays who are gender-typical. (Rule, NO (2010). "Sexual orientation perception involves gendered facial cues") Some of the earlier research may also be misleading in this respect because many of the 'gender-inverted' gay people are more open about their sexuality and thus perhaps more likely to be truthful about it and/or participate in a test.

I guess that may be part of the reason why so many people list Minho as being straight. Not saying he definitely isn't, but from what I've seen there are many more documented instances of him acting flirty/shy/giddy around older guys than acting attracted to women. Or maybe I've just missed some secret stash of Mr Flaming Charisma flirting with girls (unless you count him flirting with the cameras of his fansite masters). ;)

You won't see male idols openly flirting with girls because they try to avoid scandals. A gay male idol can upload pictures with his boyfriend onto Instagram (*khm*Heechul*khm*) and nobody cares because they think they are just friends. But if a (supposedly straight) male idol uploaded several pictures of himself and a "female friend", people would think they are dating, they would never believe they are just friends; so that's why they keep it on the down low. You can never really know how much they flirt with the opposite sex unless you are a paparazzo or a sasaeng fan who keeps following them around 24/7.

Now that you say this.. I remember a fan told me he talked about his sexuality in his biography or something? Did he really say he was bi in this book?

Here's what he said in his book:

"Right now, I don't have anyone I can call a "girlfriend."

Of course, there are people that I love.

I often think "I really like this person" or "I love this person." However, these feelings are spur of the moment. It doesn't matter whether the person is a man or a woman.

Take Hyde, for example. When I'm with him, I always think "Wow, this guy is so amazing." That's also love, or feelings very close to love.

That smile is a sin. Since I first met him, I have thought that it would be great if Hyde was a girl. But dammit, he's aman!

If he was a girl, I would probably fall for him. I really go for types like him. No matter what they say, I'll listen.

If he or she said "Come here now," I'd leave work and go. The type of girl that I look for is gentle type like Hyde. If there was a girl like him, I think I would fall for her."
