Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

So I haven’t been into kpop for a while and I’m not sure if I’m accurate on this. But netizens are having a field day calling all these idols gay. I’m not sure if they are actually calling them gay cause they are, or because of the fanservice. So I think from now on less fanservice will be done. I mean it’s great. The gay idols get to be themselves, and say their gay shit that some other member will try to cover up in a few seconds cause it was too obvious and now it becomes fanservice. The straight idols will benefit cause they don’t have to kiss people with bad breath anymore ,that they aren't attracted to everybody wins.

Also do you think gay fanservice is becoming a thing. Not fanservice fanservice where they pretend to be a couple. But people actually pretending to be gay. Cause these new idols are really bold like seriously. People like Jackson,Wonho,Sungjae etc. Is this a thing now? Are they trying to appeal to gay fans? If they are they should cut it out. They make it harder on themselves and their average korean person to be taken seriously. Same with these April fools coming out jokes.

My question is what the hell does this mean 0u0plz.png  Are you insinuating some idols pretend to be gay just to gain fans in the LGBT community?

oT but I know a female idol who became very popular whe she changed a part of her choreo to gay

I think I know who you're talking about lol. Anyways I think it's different with men and women - if we're solely looking at internationally, then the majority of fans for female idols are female, same with male idols. If a female idol changes a part of her choreo to being gay, then her fans don't really care, because either they're lesbians (so obviously we support it) or they're straight, and therefore have no interest in being with her because they're attracted to men. However, the vast majority of fans for male idols are women, most of them straight, so they get annoyed whenever you insinuate a male idol is gay. Because for some reason they believe they have a chance with said male idol. Or maybe they're just homophobic (same could be said for straight female fans of female idols).

Domestically, it's like what @baekjoong said. And for male idols, Korean girls can also be very fetishistic and only support "gay activities" if it's happening in the confines of their favourite ship. I don't think male idols really have anything to gain by pretending to be gay.

This is kind of related to the topic, but also not. I have a question: To non-Koreans users here- among your gay/bi male friends who are NOT Kpop fans, which idols are popular/which idols do they find attractive and why?

I've made a thread on this about a month back, but I didn't get anything from it. Makes sense to ask here.

Kyungsoo (no surprise there), and Kai. They said they don't really like how Kai acts on stage though and much prefer how he acts all "soft" offstage.

So for the last time, why you think sehun is gay? za5g21G.png

• Xiumin and Chen said Sehun is the member they’d least like to date if they were girls and emphasised it was only because they wouldn’t want to date Sehun *as girls* It was also said “because of privacy we’ll skip the reasonâ€
• Said “I like men†on stage while looking nervous
• Said his heart flutters whenever he looks at a man
• Some people think he dated Tao
• Baekhyun said on Knowing Brother that Sehun is not interested in girls
• Has certain mannerisms associated with gay men
• Likes to hang out with older men
• When Xiumin was asked which member he would let his sister meet, Suho said “Sehun†[meaning you can trust Sehun around women]
• Likes biting the members’ butts “jokinglyâ€
• Possible predebut relationship with Johnny from NCT
• Him and Xiumin had interesting moments in the Kokobop MV
• Was flustered when Seungri sat on his lap and sang at an awards show
• Said “I want exo-ls to take pride and not be embarrassed in their identity or who they choose to love†in an interview
• Q: When you meet a girl you like, would you take initiative or not? A: I will just (silently) wait
• When a fan asked him to write “my girlfriend†on a piece of paper, he just kept on laughing and only wrote “girlfriendâ€
• Physically affectionate with the other members
• Some people think he had expression of arousal on his face when Baekhyun was rubbing his thigh at MAMA 2014
• Went to see the Handmaiden, a lesbian film, with DO
• An MC held up a picture of naked Shinhwa and Sehun got up from his seat and walked closer to it, Kai then says “Sehun-ah, did you think of anything?†(in a teasing way)
• Friends with Donghae from Super Junior
• Friends with Jackson from Got7
• Seemed to enjoy watching Rain doing pelvic thrusts while dancing
• Q: Which type of male will get your appreciation the most? A: Nothing specific, from the appearance, head to toe, I respect the way everyone lives!
• Took a picture with a man who was in full drag, from the musical “Hedwigâ€

Why are some of y'all lying like this? He's never stated that he doesn't like females. The desperation to prove these guys sexuality is so strange...

I'd say the list above proves he likes men. Or are we forcing a sexuality on poor straight Sehun?

So does anybody have any new receipts on sehun and his “sugar daddyâ€

Sent from my iPhone using OneHallyu mobile app

Chefsuke? No, nothing new. The most recent thing was from November 26, when he went to see EXO in concert.

I'll post in here if anything new happens smile.png (or someone else will)

Seventeen:

Jeonghan- gay (i was torn between him being bi or gay, but i saw how he reacted to Monsta X this MAMA 2017, and boy, he was not able to help himself! LOL!)

Seungcheol- straight (i think he's attracted to Jeonghan though. T/N: biting and having his hands all over Jeonghan)

I dont fallow EXO but people speculate some couples..... How came sehun and baekhyun are not one? Only from what i read here seems they have a lot of questionable moments. It is strange that is sehun x chef suke, but not sehun x baek...

Purely sexual attraction, I think. Wouldn't be surprised if they've had sex before but somehow I even doubt that happening. I've seen absolutely nothing on either of their parts to indicate any kind of romantic attraction. I think Baekhyun just generally acts sexually with Sehun - he's very horny.

what are yall's oppinion on jeonghan and seungcheol? i don't follow seventeen that closely but everytime i do drop in to watch a video or two i notice that those two are always all over eachother, any carats here that can spill some tea?

There have been A LOT of receipts posted in this thread. I remember some user did a gigantic compilation post in here - just search for "Jeongcheol" smile.png As for me, I don't really have a strong opinion because I don't know enough about the ship itself, but frankly I wouldn't be surprised if there is/was some kind of sexual attraction going on on S.coups' part. And something which I personally find interesting is that apparently Korean fans don't really like the ship - perhaps they know more than they're letting on?

In other news Jo Kwon posted this:

The singer and frontman of Years and Years (he's the man in the video) is an out gay man smile.png

Definitely have an interesting relationship. I know some people here think they've had sex with each other, and to a lesser extent have feelings for each other. I find them interesting but to me they just seem like best friends who talk about guys together. Something you may find of interest is that Dispatch followed Taemin around for a while to see if he was dating anyone, but in the end they only found him hanging out with Kai all the time laugh.png

I agree with this. My best friend from Kindergarten came out as gay to me a few years ago, then EVERY girl that we sat with at the lunch table two years ago (besides one closet case who was caught making out with her friend on snapchat lmao) came out as LGBT. I don’t know if we all just gravitated towards each other because of this, but the one girl has been my best friend since we were five years old.... so I don’t think we were such good friends because of our gayness or anything like that. I could be wrong though.

Damn, that's pretty similar to me and my best friend. We've been best friends since four years old, and over ten years later we're both lesbians (she realised a couple of years after me). And in our friendship group of 10 people, 6 of us are LGBT after 4 years together. It's interesting how people being open about their sexuality may prompt others to realise they're attracted to the same sex themselves.

ok so about sehun x donghae

so like I SAID BEFORE THIS IS A REACH, AND DELUSIONAL, don't quote me on this and I don't expect any of you to agree with me, this is actually a theory I have built up with some other people outside this thread.

so we all know how close sehun and donghae are, plus they both are suspected to be into men, that's clear, even though they were close I never suspected them because I actually thought he and tao were a thing and I strongly believed that until tao left.

so here's the thing people think sehun "used" (idk if used is the right word) donghae as rebound....kinda believable if you remember that famous pic was posted on September and tao filled the lawsuit against sm on August......anyways so people think sehun used donghae as rebound after being heartbroken at the way things ended abruptly with tao (told you it's so shippy and kinda delusional, you can stop reading now) and after they hooked up they got into this awkward post fooling around, I think i read somewhere that Donghae said sehun didn't contact him while he was enlisting (or at least not so much) and they pretty much avoided each other after that, even some weeks ago, now i see them interacting again but it was donghae the one initiating it and sehun looked kinda shy/ flustered about it.

I don't think theres nothing else going on with them , I think it was pretty much an one time thing and both already moved on and are trying to be friendly again.

told y'all it was delusional so dont yell at me

This is a good theory sis, definitely more believable than some others in here. And I'm always for delusional posts involving two idols that aren't in the same group!

Also I can't multiquote because I'm on mobile but @Radaphe how are you gonna say Yoongi is straight when he said his ideal type isn't limited to a girl? Or was it just a mistranslation?

So what's your opinions on Mark?

He seems a bit uncomfortable with gay stuff directed towards him, but I don't think he's homophobic. He genuinely seems like he wouldn't hurt a fly (but who knows, he may act totally different when the cameras aren't rolling).

Thanks! smile.png  I agree with the both of you.

I wanted to ask. If Sm really ask sexuality in their trainee introduce quiz?

I don't think there's any way of knowing, but I strongly doubt it. I don't really see the benefits of doing that. In fact, I'm pretty sure that this rumour was started by someone who said that SM has the highest proportion of gay idols (and they knew that because of this quiz??), and they also believed that Kris Wu was bi because he supposedly said he was bi in this quiz 0u0plz.png There's no basis to it smile.png

ah okay. Thank you :) . Since you are an exo l too, do you know if this rumors about Chanyeol caught luhan watching a homo movie (broke back mountains) and they was akward with each other?

( I noticed that sometimes Chanyeol who always is talking too much, was a little akward with him)

I can say with certainty that this is NOT true. That happened in 2012 and came from an international EXO fanbase called "EXO Global Facts" - they just made up a bunch of facts that I strongly doubt are true. These are some of the other "facts" they came up with:

- Chen is the founder of Luhan’s biggest anti-fan cafe

- Kai and Baekhyun are both very competitive, to the point where they even compete on the amount of women they can get into the bedroom

- Luhan once saw Sehun and he was so horrified he didn’t stop crying for days

- Chanyeol once injured himself laughing when Minho told Chanyeol he thought Kris was a brilliant rapper

So it basically all came from them, it was not brought up in variety shows or anything of the sort. So yeah, not true :)

I doubt Luhan would have watched Brokeback Mountain in his trainee days anyway

Isnt porn hard to get in SK? I read that you have to pay and have a valid id to watch it. Also companies have sexual education classes(among others), but i dont know if public schools teaches it too.

Porn is illegal but it's not a law regularly enforced. Teenagers can still find ways around the law so that they are able to watch it. I guess it would be the same as illegally downloading movies or music in Western societies. Pretty easy to do.

Edit: Okay I checked and according to Wikipedia in 2012 around 40% of teens said that they've watched porn. But numbers could be higher depending on whether they got this information from surveys. So make of that what you will.

I'm getting flashbacks to all of the ace discourse I was involved with on Tumblr

200.gif

I really think we should move on from this...after arguing with people online for over a year about this (that's all in the past now), I realised that there's no right answer to this topic. Every person thinks that their answer is correct, and the vast majority of stuff involved with this discourse is subjective - it all boils down to people's personal opinion and what they think. Unfortunately people will continue to use "queer" as an umbrella term because times are changing and it's no longer seen as a slur by young people. I even told my straight friend she couldn't say it as it's a slur and she said "it's part of the LGBTQ acronym so I can use it". So yeah, nothing we can do about it.

And I'm a lesbian by the way, if y'all want to know.

Thank you for actually trying to have a proper point. I disagree because primarily, it's still something we would get called in the US by homophobes, as well as any other words. Plenty of asexuals have also been discriminated against or called gay for simply not caring about sex, but ultimately it really does boil down to a whole "time and place" issue. (And yeah...het people trying to call themselves queer over a kinky is messy.) Regardless, I appreciate Minsung (Hansol?) for what he tried to do.

Being called something doesn't mean you can reclaim it. If my black friend called me the n-word, does that mean I can suddenly reclaim it just because they called me that? Or when straight dudebros call each other the f slur, that's alright, because they're being called that? Just like what @Aisling said, you can only reclaim a slur if you're being institutionally oppressed for a part of your identity.

Also I can't multiquote because I'm on mobile, but Judith Butler has her own problems e.g saying the trans women of colour in "Paris is Burning" are gay men trying to assimilate into hetero patriarchy. Which is completely disregarding the idea that out of everyone in the LGBT community, trans women are definitely the marginalized and face the most problems in all areas of life, especially trans women of colour. She's a cis white woman trying to speak over the experiences of trans women of colour.
