Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

Ok, I'm officially sold. They're cute. :ahmagah:

I read here that Bogum is from a "traditional" family so the likelihood of him being open about his sexuality is slim to none. True? :( That doesn't bode well for them if they are together though.

Apparently he's a devout Christian. That's why I have my doubts about this lol But they're still cute together (and suspicious)

I feel like you're trying too hard to string everything into a gay narrative. Keep in mind, I'm not a delusional fangirl, I'm a gaysian myself. But to be real, V is a very outgoing celebrity and he has a lot of celebrity friends with who he hangs out with one on one. A possible reason as to why he specifically chose to show his relationship with Bogum is because Bogum is extremely popular and has widespread public appeal in Korea, so linking himself and therefore the rest of BTS with Bogum would be very good PR from a business perspective. I do think their friendship is genuine but I don't see anything out of the ordinary about it. And it's funny you ask me to put myself in that scenario, because I finished my exams not too long ago and I've been planning to go out with one of my friends for weeks in advance already. He's a Korean, a guy, and a year younger than me, but he's straight as an arrow. But because we don't have any overlapping friends between our social circles, we just go out on outings together, 1 on 1. And we eat together and have conversation, just us two. We think of each other immediately after we're done exams not because we're romantically interested in each other, but because we've been friends for a few years now, and we enjoy each other's company. I think V and Bogum may be a similar case, where they're both very different but through their outgoing personalities, managed to befriend each other. And because they don't have any mutual friends, they just go out by themselves.

Heechul and Gunhee were a different case, because they took everything to an extreme, and all that to me was very suggestive. Yunho and Jaejoong are another prominent past example. But the evidence for V and Bogum is still, in my opinion, not as conclusive. However, I still agree that the possibility of them being gay does exist, and I respect your opinion <3

Idk about them being gay but v posts photos with many people he goes out with. Last year he posted 2 with moonbok too. So it's not just because bogum is very hot right now. Also they've been friends since 2 years even before bogum got really popular. I do agree that the photos and video are not very conclusive though. They seem a bit suspicious to me but they could just be very good friends who'd planned a vacation since a while now and finally decided to go. Edited by Sdm

This is OT but not really:

I was just curious if assuming which idols top or bottom is considered stereotyping and low key offensive. I see people doing this all the time and I just wondered but I'm not gay so Idk how to feel about this.

I think J-hope is either bisexual or pan or just bi curious... I know he likes women but his feelings for men seem to be up in the air

As for V I think it is very possible he is gay and is keeping it a secret

No one is really sure what this song is about but there are some parts of the song that are similar to how closeted gay people feel... I at first thought it was about depression but the part where he's apologizing to his family. I think it is possible he maybe came out to his family and they had a negative reaction to it(?) idk though but I feel like he wouldn't be apologizing to them if they didn't already know about his sexuality. Then the line "Are you calling me a sinner?" like how many religious people think that gay people are sinners. So idk if I'm over analyzing this but as someone who still struggles with opening up with my own sexuality I can understand this feeling if it is what the song is about. Taehyung hasn't told anyone what the song is about and that is very personal to him so it is likely that he is struggling with the secrecy of his sexuality and that is what the song is about.

Sorry if none of that made sense or I was too repetitive it's almost 3 am and I was thinking about this when this song came on and I had to post it.

I've seen this theory a lot of times but the problem is he wrote only the chorus of the song. He had help on the rest of it. So I don't think we can take the lyrics too literally when half of it is written by someone else. Edited by Sdm

where did he say this? in the credits?

I remember rapmon talking about it and he at least specifically mentioned taehyung writing and practicing by himself his "are you calling me a sinner" one-liners and that they didnt know what it was all about until they heard the whole song so im curious

Didnt he say this in the latest wings concept book interview? He prob had a say in the rest of the lyrics too but def didn't write all of it himself word for word.

I do not think this is an issue, considering that Begin was written by Rap Monster and not Jungkook. Kookie was having trouble with the writting, so he told Rap Monster what he wanted to 'speak through the song', so Rapmon wrote it for him while Jungkook supervised everything.

If the song is indeed about his sexuality I highly doubt he would convey all that to the lyricists who helped him write it. They're not that close to him that he'll reveal such a personal thing to them. I see him doing it with one of the rapline members like jk with rapmon but not with random people who worked on the song with him

Also I see people talk about a few specific lyrics in the song but how can you analyze them if they prob weren't even written by him? Thats what I'm trying to get at here.

Not saying that he couldn't be gay/bi or whatever but this song isn't a very good way to prove it.

so bts just released a comeback trailer and its about a woman....what a surprise

yall can not convince this is about his mom ok.

"When you see meWhen you touch me

Cuz you love me

And I love you

Love me now

Touch me now

Just let me love you

Just let me love you"

with repetitions of    'girl~'

i dont think hes telling his mom to touch him

just disappointing fam

full lyrics

All of this isn’t just a coincidence

Just just my own feeling

The whole universe is different from yesterday

Just just from your happiness

When you call me

I am your flower

Like I’ve been waiting for it

We bloomed dazzlingly

It is almost like the destiny of the universe

It is just how it is

U know I know

You are me, and I am you

As much as my heart flutters, I’m just as afraid

Fate keeps being envious of us

I am just as afraid as you are

When you see me

When you touch me

The cosmos moved for us

There was nothing slightly out of place

Our happiness was expected

Cuz you love me

And I love you

You are my penicillium

The one who saved me

My angel

My world

I am your calico cat

One who came to meet you

Love me now

Touch me now

Just let me love you

Just let me love you

When the universe was first made

Everything has been decided

Just let me love you

Let me love

Let me love you

Let me love

Let me love you

"

Do some of y'all only enjoy songs that have something gay in it like I don't get why that is dissapointing.. also the lyrics are gender neutral

Why being gender neutral matter so much ? I'm not even saying that they are straight or anything, but you guys are so afraid of the thought of bts mentioning girls in their music when is like the most normal thing ever if you're in the music industry and you are a male in the closet you not gonna write about boys in your songs lmao maybe if you're sneaky like jonghyun, is also not a undeniable proof that you are straight or anything is just music.

I mean C'MON

They've mentioned girls several times directly in many other songs. I need you girl anyone? I don't understand this aversion towards girls or "hetero" love stories for songs lol. Love is a beautiful theme no matter if it's hetero or homo, like I don't understand why one would be disappointing and the other not. Seems like lots of people are just acting like special snowflakes at this point.

But he was prob pretty young so idk if it matters

This is what he said:

Q: The readers are from the same generation but, thinking about your student days, please, tell us what kind of student you were.

V: When it was break time I went to take a peek of all the classrooms, I also went to buy something to eat, I was a kid who couldn’t stop for even a second. When I was in elementary school I participated in a Drag Competition (he wore female clothes) and I passed the qualification so it’d became a good memory (laughs).

I agree with your first sentence lol

the rest tho...Taehyung gets hate from Jikook shippers too, and Jungkook from Yoonmin shippers and even Vmin shippers at times, and everybody keeps ignoring the "suspicious" behaviour when it happens between two members they don't ship. Jimin is literally the ho of Bangtan, I could make a very convincing case for him dating every single member tbh.

I could make a convincing case for vhope, jikook, yoonmin, taekook, jikook etc Which is why I don't take any ship seriously in bts.

why are people spoilering their posts despite being on-topic. it's not even like you're protecting readers from large quantities of images or video.  what?just because we're arguing there is a fanservice element to their interactions does not mean they don't have a real friendship. calm down.this is about gay-or-no-gay, not kpop friendship politics.-----i don't care how "bad you feel" about posting shipping contents.if you want to prove us wrong, don't just complain to us about how we're not taking you seriously; SHOW US why we are wrong.this isn't the "feel validated about your favorite relationship" thread.i'm so tired of this repeated bullshit.

Literally so many people share vlogs, pics etc on social media when they go on vacations. I personally don't find anything weird about the video but saying their whole trip is orchestrated by bighit so that they could take cute videos for fans is also ridiculous.

i doubt it was entirely a marketing tool, but i also doubt there wasn't fan element involved. if there wasn't, they wouldn't share anything.they're likely at least pretty good friends, but they also know as celebrities that anything they do will be consumed by fans, so they do play things up out of appreciation for/duty to their fans.

Well of course they shared it for fans, that's what their group twitter account is meant for. But so did the other members when they went for their own vacations. Jungkook made an extremely elaborate video for suga for his birthday, so it's not that weird he made one for this trip as well. But yeah let's agree to disagree I guess. To me it's just a cute video he shared with fans that's all.

Well the interviewer asked what do YOU think about true love, as in what you and the members think so I thought he meant themselves at first too But rapmon's english is iffy sometimes he could've meant we as in everyone in general. Either way it's nice of him to say that.

Also, Namjoon could've easily corrected the interviewer if he'd wanted to (plenty of male idols say, "We like girls!!!" in interviews when not-het implications are made), but he didn't. He didn't even react. If nothing else, the complete lack of a "no homo" reaction was incredibly refreshing, and honestly, just let starving LGBT fans enjoy things.  It's not a "reach" to think he meant exactly what he said.

Actually I do kind of think maybe the interviewer misunderstood him but yeah the fact that he didn't even react, and I'm sure he understood what the interviewer implied, makes me happy. Anyways I think both explanations are possible its pretty open ended.

Soooooo we just got this blind item:

"Blind Item #7 - AMA

One of the biggest male groups in K-pop has two members who are closeted. Well, they could have more than two, but these two were trying to stay hidden in corners this weekend at a bar as they canoodled with their respective American boyfriends."

oh man there were so many kpop boy groups at the AMAs HOW WILL WE EVER KNOW WHO THIS IS

I don't think I've ever seen this quote from Jin here, so:

J: Once after school, I went to the practice room and spotted a new friend. He suddenly came over to me and started dancing while rubbing his body on me. (laughs) That friend was V. (V: I didn’t volunteer to dance, it’s just that another trainee hyung told me “The eldest hyung is going to be coming later. Show your charms then. Make a first impression that he’ll remember.â€

(X)

This is what tae did when jimin first came into the dorm imstupid.png

IMIN: ã€ŒThat night, with V’s suggestion, the 3 of us with Jungkook, we slept all tangled up together in the living room. I’m shy with strangers so it felt uncomfortable, but V approached me with an open mind so I felt relaxed straight away. I had a good time.ã€

V:「That’s right. The 3 of us slept together. We only wore underwear (laughs) it was like a frank/ straightforward friendship? The next day, Jimin and I went to school. Maybe it was because he transferred to a new school and it was the first day for him, he was really nervous.  On the way to school, he said things like 『Gangnam is incredible.〠He was talking randomly in a stiff Busan dialect, it was cute.〠

I really don't understand how they don't find any of this gay. Its like korea is so removed from gay stuff that it doesn't even cross their mind

So much raw pain in those lyrics... Yeah, and the comment section on that video is a mess. Though I'm proud many of them have the guts to openly call it a coming out song.

I really want to know how y'all are so sure its a coming out song?  Not saying that's not a possibility but it could be about literally anything. Also I wouldn't take the lyrics too literally cause I feel they're also partially connected to his wings storyline where he kills his father, who had been abusing his sister. I reckon the lyrics about sinning and punishment are related to that. The main idea was that he hurt somebody in the past and regrets it now.

No one else wrote their song as being connected to their storylines and I haven't read anything that said any of the members did this. Especially in Tae's case because RM made a point in saying that the song was very personal to Taehyung and wouldn't comment on what the song was about. If it had been written with their storyline involved he would have talked about that but instead he avoided the inspiration completely which on it's own is...interesting to say the least.

There have been discussions about Stigma in the past about how it might have another meaning but when push comes to shove no one has been able to come up with a convincing one that makes sense with the lyrics, applies to what we know about Tae's life and would be a topic that RM would feel uncomfortable sharing with fans.

There's another reason I don't take the lyrics too seriously and that's because he didn't write the song all on his own. He got a lot of help. So can we really dissect the lyrics so much if we don't even know what part he wrote?
