Which male idols do you think are gay?

Recommended Posts

I ain't even mad, I now have a soundclip of Takuya saying he likes the D. All is well in the world of Han  :hoplz:

He did, and he also forgot the word "comment" for some reason until somebody shouted it out to him. He was like "that stuff on youtube, those uh.. what to you call 'em, the written things on the page, what's this called? *makes a bunch of hand gestures*". Precious  :rlytearpls:

I've kinda noticed over time that it seems like Junsu has a decidedly and openly pro-gay stance, so I don't think he'd be at all offended by people thinking he's gay. I think the excessive shipping (and subsequent shipping wars) would upset him though. People assuming he's gay specifically because he's artistic and pretty might upset him a little too. He doesn't seem angry at all in this though, he seems more amused than anything.

Watching it again, it sounds like a decent portion of the audience didn't quite believe him when he said he wasn't gay though. Poor Junsu  :imstupid:

Never underestimate how thirsty Jaejoong's female fans are for there to be even 0.0000000000000001% of a chance :derp:

Lol your comment about jae's female fans is pretty true, on a fanvid for him on youtube several other female fans accused me of not being a real fan of him when they found out he is my ultimate kpop bias but that I have absolutely no desire to be sexually interactive with him if given the chance :derp:  seeing how my other male biases are Heechul, key, tao, Sungjong, & kevin to name a few, its probably a good thing I don't want to sleep with any of my biases

My thoughts on Namjoon

I'm kind of thinking that he might be bisexual but I mostly think he's straight it has nothing to do with his interactions with others I don't really follow Bangtan but used to and I just thought of a bit of a theory that he might be gay or bi based on his lgbt ally status or him being excepting of gay ppl .

I'll explain ok I know not all people who are ally's are gay themselves and it's probably a stereotype, and ally's support lgbt and aren't gay themselves.

It's just I've been thinking what made him become an ally in the first place ?

He grew up in a homophobic heteornormative culture most likely with a certain mindset towards gay people now did he have that mindset from the start yes or no and if he what changed.

He could only accept gay people if he comes across gay people which would be hard living in heteornormative Korea.

He could only come across friends or family but if they are too scared to come out or be outed why would they feel comfortable telling Namjoon something so personal , they could lose a lot doing this espically if they don't know whether they'd be accepted or not.

So he has to be exposed to gay people .

It could have started when I believe he went to school in New Zealand or was it Australia I think this was before he become a trainee idk.

But at whatever time he went the majority of ppl he came across most likely were homophobic and if he met them he would go back to Korea with that same mindset that he grew up with.

So his acceptance of gay ppl stemmed before he went to New Zealand or after he came back from New Zealand.

So when he learned of this other mindset of ppl this acceptance but did he do with it when he came back to Korea.

How did he make others feel safe to be open with him or did he hide this knowledge and conform to the homophobic mindset within his country.

Since he in the past was open about how he feels toward the lgbt community and supports us I'd say maybe it's just him being the rebellious sjw type he is he wants to help people who are oppressed which is maybe just him being a genuine nice person or his western mindset, cause he doesn't conform to society like some Koreans if he thinks something is wrong he questions it.

I'm probably not making a lot of sense but maybe I could be thinking he's bi or gay cause it 's just interesting how he didn't pick up on that homophobic mindset his peers (fellow koreans)picked up on so I'm just wondering what changed him cause where he grew up could have really influenced him and even going overseas not all of his mindset would change .

And if it 's hard for others around him to be out how can he be exposed to any type of form of gayness unless he is in some way gay himself which could influence his thinking on things and tying that in with his personality.

He could just be using the ally status to in someway say he's supportive or be tied in with the gay community without really outing himself.

This is something I have thought a lot about as well, as far as I know he studied in New Zealand ( someone please correct me if I'm wrong). I don't know the exact time he studied but New Zealand enacted a law to allow civil unions between same-sex couples in 2005, and then legalized marriage in 2013 so depending on the year he was there he could have had a lot of exposure to some later portion of the lgbtmnop movement and had the chance to see a different perspective than the homophobic mainstream mindset of Korea/helped him come to terms with maybe his own sexuality.  Personally I'm torn on my thoughts on his sexuality, I go back and forth so often :derp:

Hongbin has started to ping me as gay...  :hurr:

Is there anyone else that also feels so, since my gaydar is pure shit i would like to know if i`m not the only one A

Actually him and N were the ones that first pinged for me when I became a fan of Vixx, I know a lot of people focus more on ken and n  but Hongbin reminds me of myungsoo, a guy that is more masculine and handsome instead of pretty so people might overlook them. My opinion on his sexuality is the same one I have for myungsoo, might be into girls but definitely into guys as well :datass:  Lol sorry if this sounds weird i really need to go to bed

Yeah i know, i cried so much the first time i watched it, but its a really beautiful movie that shows allot of things that most other movies prefer not to show... But i really love it;;

Opps! I didn't mean to come off as not liking the movie, I love the entire storyline, the issues it touches on and the characters in my opinion excellently written. Its currently one of my favorite foreign films.

Because he's fucking gorgeous and his babies would be a gift to the world?

Everybody's heads snapped to Sehun, except the people who were already looking at him, and Suho, who slowly turned like "hoooo boy"

In the reaction shot Kai, D.O and Xiumin all kept looking at Sehun, while Suho and Chen were more interested in laughing than paying attention to his continued reaction. Suho's laugh seemed uncomfortable while Chen was just like "lolololol". D.O seemed mildly interested in Suho's reaction too, which makes me think maybe Suho might not be as comfortable with the idea of homosexuality as the rest of the group. I know literally nothing about him beyond his name though, can any Suho stans weigh in? :hoplz:

It's hard to tell if Chen and Chanyeol thought of the same thing or if Chen was just reacting to Chanyeol asking by reinforcing the question, but either way they both dared to ask  :ninja:

Bless you for delivering me from laziness, sweet messenger  :stare:

Thinking about it, I wouldn't mind if they kept it ambiguous for the entire thing and let people draw their own conclusions about the relationship at the end. It's kinda noncommittal, but at the same time it doesn't crush anybody's dreams unnecessarily either I definitely wouldn't mind them ending up as a couple though lbr  :rlytearpls:

*Heads off to watch it* :hoplz:

He is my third bias in Exo so I pay quite a bit of attention to him, and I always he thought that he was open to lgbt with some of the suggestions he has made before, like the instance in Exo's remake series when he suggested two of the guys ending up together, and the fact that he seems very close to both Sehun and Tao, who out of all the members of exo I am most certain fall somewhere on the lgbt spectrum, and I hold the opinion that he might be bi with a preference for women myself :meow:

I always feel an undercurrent of homophobia in that vociferous refusal to "speculate about their orientation". Funny that that the accusation of being straight is never defended against. Prejudice masked as politeness.

I think that people who says things like that are worse/more homophobic than the ones who say they hate lgbtqmnop people out right bc they don't even think that they are being homophobic when they actually are, and bc it's in a more passive manner people tend to over look it when it needs to be addressed just as much :/

Welp, WGM strikes again. Everybody and their uncle is now so sure Siwon is straight and that those two are soulmates  :derp:

The magic that is We Got a Beard  :ninja: , they are definitely cute together and they seem to get along well but Siwon is still gay in my opinion and the fact that he is on the show only strengthens my belief, although I do kind of ship them simply for the fact that they would have beautiful children :ilove:

So, we've discussed Suga before and talked about the fact that he never mentions gender when he's asked about his ideal type and stuff, right? Well this The Star interview came out recently (?), and I was curious whether he would answer the ideal type question as usual or not, and yup as expectedtumblr_nohxqg8TTs1rw4t32o2_r1_540.jpg

the other members wrote things like "a girl who..." but again, he was the only one not mentioning anything about gender.

What's the general opinion about him btw?

I think the general opinion in this thread is that he is bi

guys, what do think about taemin? honestly, I don't know @ @

He used to confuse me a lot more when he was younger. He debuted when he was quite young obviously, but he was never as out there as say Sungjong was when he was younger. He also never seemed entirely comfortable with his 'femininity' or how people viewed him as more effeminate than the other members.

Now though, I can say with a lot of confidence that I think he's gay. I think he's come into his own a lot more with age. From observing him with his male backup dancers and other male idols from SM, I think he enjoys the attention he gets from them for lack of a better word and I think he enjoys flirting back as well   I also think the issue was never that he was feminine or had a feminine image, it was that people treated him like a girl. Which was only amplified when he had his weave in for Sherlock. Gay men are obviously not women and no one likes being misgendered. I think that probably got to him a lot. Now though that he has solidified that he is in fact a dude, I think he's more comfortable as a whole and it shows.

That's exactly what I think as well :)

Really? I mean, I can understand D.O because international fans seem to think he's straight for whatever reason, but Ken just screams gay to me.

Ken pings gay for me to, in fact he rivals N for me, idk why so many international fans think kyungsoo is so straight, when exo first debuted and he acted more cute and squishy I know a lot of them thought he was gay but now that he acts more dominate and aggressive they are sure he is straight :/ tbh thought he is kind of an enigma for me, I don't think he is 100% straight though

Anyone feel like setting fire to the kpop fandom with me?  :twitch:

Count me in, do people not think that maybe some fans speculate about lgbt idols becuase they are lgbt themselves and are looking for support, especially other koreans?? What's worse is that a lot of the female fans that say that then go squeal about how they are "oppa's" ideal type and write male idol/you fanfics -_-

I'm happy for him having an individual schedule and I hope it brings him more popularity but I'm just worried.

He is rumored to have scoliosis and he could make his back worse.

I'm also afraid that it could backfire on him and he could get looked down on more.

Hoping for the best and that he does well but I am concerned.

I really wish that he could just be himself and not feel like he has to prove anything to anybody.

Also, now I am going to have to watch this damn show even though I have no interest in it.

I almost would rather they put him on We Got Married.

At least he would be cute and charming on that.

Same :( I have only watched the female special episodes and a few with henry and those were harsh, he already has to deal with flack becuase of his looks and mannerisms he doesn't need anymore of it :(, I feel like no matter what he does it won't be enough for some people, or worse we will see those "fans" who will be so happy that he is being masculine and now becoming a "real man" ( whatever that is) while being oblivious to the fact that he isn't happy like that and that he is perfect the way he is.

I know I'll probably get essays on stereotypes or something but did anybody else think Jaejoong's nipple and belly button piercings were kinda gay. I'm not saying that they instantly make him gay and that it's the only reason why I think that because there's obviously many other reasons. I just wanted to point them out because I was looking up idols piercings and I don't recall us speaking about them.

tumblr_lhid0ozR8z1qe1eipo1_500.jpg__jaejoong.png

Also this question might sound insensitive but which one do you guys think is more gay? I always think it's the nipple piercing but then I always go back to the belly button.

The fact that he had those piercings as a Korean man always interested me, and tbh it did make me question his sexuality more, although its jaejoong so he has shown plenty of reasons to question his sexuality :P

Kind of OT but didn't his number of piercings not match up with the number he gave in an interview or something? Even with his ear piercings, navel, and nipple there still was a piercing that wasn't accounted for and some wondered where it could have been....

This is super late but I wish more people talked about Monsta X :rlytearpls: It's been almost a month since they debuted, and they have a lot of Deokspatch videos to give a better glimpse of their personalities :ahmagah:

Hmm, I actually feel the same. The ones that give me some sort of 'feeling' is Minhyuk, Hyungwon, and maybe IM. Minhyuk pings me the most, Hyungwon is a bit more subtle but IM just confuses me. Idk, I think he could be bi, because he's comfortable mentioning women but the way he interacts with guys is... interesting. And he's just amazingly cute

I might as well mention the other members just for the heck of it

Jooheon- Straight. Although he's the closest to IM and IM is most comfortable doing skinship to him :hurr:

Shownu- Straight, but just very quiet and softspoken. My bias :chu:

Wonho- I think straight too. But there was that one moment when Monsta X went on ASC, and they were talking to three fans via webcam, two girls and one guy. The fanboy was explaining how Monsta X caught his attention and Wonho thanked him, even blowing a kiss right at him :derp:  The fanboy held his heart, which made everyone laugh LOL so I think Wonho is just comfortable with expressing his love/appreciation towards anybody (if that makes sense).

Kihyun- Straight too, but he has some feminine mannerisms :hurr:

I have mostly the same opinions too, except I go back and forth on thinking Wonho is possibly bi or dtf :raep:

In spoiler bc kind of OT

Are there any idols who you guys think are possible homophobic? I use to think Zico was but I'm not totally sure :/

Amen. I hope he doesn't shy away from being feminine just because people get on his case for it. Out of most idols, Minwoo debatably looks the best when it comes to being "pretty" and whatnot lol.

Zico definitely. He never even personally apologized either. He just hung out with HSC a few days later thinking everything would be fine.

Him aside....Shindong is a given. Junho of 2PM and then GO of MBLAQ. Not sure who else. Maybe Jay Park though he isn't an idol anymore.

I touched on No.Mercy/Monsta X a while back, but yea, Minhyuk is still the only one that shits rainbows. The rest I think are straight or I'm kinda on the fence about somewhat like maybe Hyungwon. Wonho seems super straight, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was somehow bi either I guess.

Yeah Shindong is basically an all-around bigot -_- I know the reasons for junho but why jay park? Edited by cese515512

A question out of curiosity...

If the idols here where you guys speculated to be gay (and I supposed some may actually be your bias/crush) suddenly comes out with statements or answers fans questions on the possibility of him liking someone of the same sex and he shows discontent, would you unstan and lose respect for them or accept/respect their beliefs?

I hope no one sees this question as offensive though... I'm just wondering, especially to those who are LGBT...

Tbh for some of them even if they showed discontent I still would think that they aren't straight, but I would lose respect for them, there is nothing wrong with lgbt people, we arent suffering from a mental disorder or cursed by the "devil", nor are we harming anything/anyone by liking who we do/ identifying with a gender or no gender at all, most people who claim to be homophobic are misusing the word, the actual term for them is a bigot and I don't tolerate most types of bigotry unless it's against rape, pedophilia, murderers, etc. Edited by cese515512

Iquote name="Yeosa" post="8635921" timestamp="1434312947"]I'm 100% convinced Suho's not straight tbh

There's his relationship with Donghwan, who called Suho his mother's 3rd son, hangs out w/ Taohun and went on sauna date with Suho and tagged the photo #itsbeen3years #together

and also Baek and Sehun saying he talks on the phone late at night with a guy  :imstupid:  and then Chanyeol said "I became more careful with Suho after that" which was cut out of the show  :imstupid:

the part after 5:00 is so suspiciously chopped up

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e80V-DLGEg&list=PL31FD09B249619B7F&index=210

I tentatively think of him as possibly being bi/pan, no matter what his sexuality I think he is definitely a very accepting guy no matter someone's sexuality due to his close relations with taohun and the suggestion he made on exo's rewind show about the two guys getting together instead. Ugh did chanyeol really say that -_-
