I didn't mean to be rude with my 1st omment though. Nah, it's fine. But the way I see it is the analyses are because of the fact that the fans rarely ever meet idols- if everyone knew them, it would be easy to recognize it (granted they didn't verbally tell us and because everyone in this thread has at least a substantial gaydar), but since we don't, we only have hints and other stuff they display on the surface. For someone to make a list and put all their ideas in one place really helps us formulate our thoughts on said idol's sexual orientation and helps us determine our thoughts on the greater issue of sexuality in the K-pop industry and how it is handled. uilambo 174 Posted January 18, 2015 Share Posted January 18, 2015 Well...my analysis started because ppl were constantly coming into this thread (or a similar old thread) and claiming we couldn't judge anyone's sexual preferences based on just mannerism (from gifs) and stereotypes (being feminine). I was starting to get annoyed with it because there are many post that weren't just about stereotypes, so I gathered and organized them all into a single post. It wasnt that hard and involved really, just do a search for 'jaejoong' in all the 'who's' gay' thread, copy any relevant posts and paste into a single post, then organize it and add some extra commentary so it flows nicely and make sense. however, it's probably more difficult to do now since many of the old threads are deleted....but my analysis are collected from posts that were discussed by many different users in an old thread over the course of years...gathered into a single post. It's either, this thread is a joke..or this thread is too serious. I'm still here, just lurking mostly now. Like I replied to the person above...it's more difficult to do the long analysis now because many of the old threads (which were my main source of info) are deleted. The amount of GLB people in SM is too damn high, even with the natural allure that it has. I swear like 65% of SM idols are not straight Preach Who in f(x)? I think SHINee is more 3/5 non-straight than 3/5 gay tho. Yeah agreed. Key is obviously gay, I think most people would agree that Jonghyun is bisexual, and Taemin.....he's just either gay or bi. He has to be attracted to males in some way. I've heard that the Japanese industry has a weirdly high amount of bisexuals, it's probably because of that selective picking. Asserting that it isn't is kind of insulting to actual trans people. Please, when trying to learn about or discuss trans people, ignore the toxic Tumblr culture of "I, like, wanna be a boy, so henceforth I am one. You're now officially oppressing me if you use she/her pronouns and if you tell me that, because of the fact that I have a vagina, XX chromosomes, and a complete lack of dysphoria, I'm a female".
