doesn't seem bi to me, just flat out gay imo. He just comes off as a gay dude in denial trying so hard to fit the mold. It's a case I've seen one too many times lol. Taehyun seems like the type who will literally never come out and even marry a woman to convince himself he's straight lol. It seems he might've been a bit more comfortable with himself before getting into YG/the industry, but the criticism he got while there kinda ruined him, from my perspective at least.

 

Pretty much. It's kinda sad to see him share how he struggles with the typical feminine gay stereotype when he first entered yg. During Sketchbook he even revealed how there were rumors of him being gay spreading around with the trainees and they were avoiding him and such bc of it. He admittedly to ditch his feminine image and cut his hair short etc just to have this 'manlier' image and then people started to change their perspective afterwards

 

But he seems to ease it out a bit these days. He even fricking shared Same Love by Macklemore on his Beat app just few months ago. If anything I just hope he finds comfort in himself to just accept himself the way he is.

Personally I do think that he's not straight but I'm not sure either he's gay or bisexual but leaning towards men in nature. There are some ppl that took his words during Sketchbook as evident of him not being one. Something not surprising but still very so, sad. I find whatever he said there was just bogus, an act that he had to do to not be suspected as one since korea is soo unforgivable with such taboo.

 

 

I want him to be more free with himself too tho but he still seems to be constraining himself a bit especially when they're at home, korea. But then again, he seems to express himself better now after he debut as oppose to the times where he was more forceful to have this 'manly yg trainees' persona like the rest of them in WIN. So, baby steps I guess

hmm I love Namsong, I think they look cute together (They're my aesthetic ship) but I wouldn"t go as far as to say it's real because most of it is fanservice to me. They do care for each other very much.

 

The sketchbook thing just pissed me off I can't even watch it  .. It actually confirmed my suspicions even more. I don't know why they even had to talk about that.. When he straight up said "I'm not gay" he looked really nervous and the atmosphere was really awkward. I'm pretty sure he said it out of impulse and it wasn't scripted..Fans would believe it  .They believe everything.

 

 

^^ this made me feel really bad   . The way he talks about the past and the future.. Idk it's really telling if you read between the lines.. I wish he could just be himself and not try so hard to be manly.  I mean none of us know him but I agree..He's most likely into guys.

 

Well, I do have my own reasons to believe that there might be something between them but this place is not really the place to discuss such things so yeah lol.

 

What's sad about that Sketchbook talk is that there are fans that would take everything to word like everytime if there are ppl calling him gay (not even as an insult btw) I've seen some ppl going all up in defensive mode with it but I'm also glad that there are alot of the fans who are equally open to the possibility of him not being straight.

 

Oh I remember that clip. Yeah I feel bad when he talked about how he pretty much have to completely change his image to try to disperse all that rumor surrounding him when he was a trainee. I guess it's the pressure of trying to fit in the mold in an environment where people are not used to his kind of character :/

Edit: The Taehyun thing is kind of weird to me because Jinwoo pings me just as much but still doesn't get the treatment that nammiebb mentioned. Maybe Taehyun's relatively hushed up predebut past is more detailed than we even know about, hence all the rumors and stuff that seem to influence the way people treat him. I'm still fairly new to Winner but it's seemed a bit obvious that Taehyun is attracted to some of the members, mainly Seungyoon and Jinwoo. Maybe his trainee days were a bit wild?  

 

Before he joined yg he was rumored to train under Nega Network to debut under the group LC9 (the group members even attended the WIN final) and he even talk about how they have this certain image for him in the group. He  was supposed to be this overly effeminate member of the group a sort of like flower boy imagery role. So I guess when he entered yg he kinda brought that up there but with the environment yg has wasn't really, I'm not sure if accepting is the right word but yeah since yg doesn't really churn out the flower-like-boys group type the trainees kind of build a prejudice around him which I think started the rumor of him being gay.

 

Oh and I forgot to mention how recently he revealed that he did splits when he auditioned for yg and the ppl were kind of speechless after he did it LOL. Bless him. And anyways about him being attracted to his members I kinda feel like he's somewhat crushing on Mino. With Jinwoo the two just seems overly platonic with the amount of time I see them interact tbh same with Seunghoon and Seungyoon, the two was kind of awkward with one another before lol but I see to it that Taehyun just admires him alot tho. He does tho love to talk about Seungyoon's abs in detail during Weekly Idol

I've been getting vibes from the beginning by his mannerisms and that audition tape.Then, there was the sketchbook thing were he said he was a "manly straight STRAIGHT" man. Then he talked about the "turning point in his life" and leaving everything in the past to try to fit in. Idk i get the impression that he's really forcing himself to act manly and idk it's kind of sad because i want him to be himself.

Sorry for the double post but omg. When did the splits thing come up? I totally missed it    and I also think  he might be crushing on Mino and Seungyoon.. Even thought both ping me, I can't imagine Taehyun and Jinwoo being a thing..

Yeah I actually wanted to reply your post the other day on Namsong lol. I've come to think of it recently that there might be something going on. There are tho several exaggerations from shippers but what makes me notice alot is the subtle things between them and recently they've seem to be growing very close I mean they're close before but now they're practically glued next to one another.

 

There was that one time after WIN that they were spotted together meeting with both of their moms present too (there's a fantaken photo but I'm too lazy to search for it) but I'm not sure what it was for or how close both of their mothers was and then we have Taehyun giving his mom a tree full of polaroids but notice how aside for his own photos there's only Mino's photo and non of the members lol

I agree, honestly Taehyun pings me not only as not straight (or not only straight), but he seems socially kinda...different? Like a different thinker in general. Jinwoo seems more like a people pleaser, but considering his background I can't help but think that he's seen some shit lol.
Out of all of them I see the same hardiness in jinwoo I see in GD at times (they both play cute and meek a lot). But anyway, that's kinda OT lol.

 

It's probably because he's an atheist that he has different views to certain things? Aside from his background and all + his social circle is mainly of those in the arts field.
