I'm not sure what interview this is from, but I think this is what they were mentioning. 

 

 

I personally think GD is probably at least bi (possibly gay), and I could see Seungri being open to some experimenting, but that Japan Sex scandal seemed pretty solid to me. I really don't think they would have gone so far just for some kind of cover up. 

 

Also I've never posted here before, but I occasionally pop in and read through. This thread moves too fast for me to keep up most of the time though.

I'm sort of unsurprised by Lay's comment, because he always seemed to have a pretty traditional/conservative world view. But it's still disappointing.   I lived in China for a few years and it seemed to be a pretty common view there. Even if people were "accepting" of homosexuality they usually still subscribed to this kind of stereotype. One of my close friends was very intrigued by my little brother who is gay and once asked me if he had "the heart of a girl inside his body"... my bisexuality also seemed to be a confusing concept for her though she was open enough for it not to really have an effect on our friendship.

I'll never understand how bisexuality confuses people. Like with non-homophobic people it's "oh you're straight? that's cool" or "oh you're gay? that's cool" but you tell someone you're bisexual and suddenly it's like "bisexual??? liking more than one gender at the same time????? you can do that???"

 

Also I get annoyed whenever people disregard bisexuality as a possible sexuality for some of these idols, but that's another discussion.

 

This is one of the reasons I stopped identifying as bisexual. Because for some outlandish reason, people just can't seem to grasp the oh-so-bizarre concept of being sexually and romantically attracted to more than one gender. Like it's really not that fucking hard of a concept... how is it that much different than being straight or gay? You just enjoy one additional gender. I'm always being told (mostly by older adults) that I'm just going through some sort of confusion, or that bisexuals aren't even real because after you settle down with someone you're either going to be straight or gay. Ugh, people need to educate themselves about bisexuality. Seriously.

 

THIS ^^ Grrr even being back in the US I still get a lot of weirdly ignorant questions about it... like it baffles me tbh. It doesn't seem that complicated to me, but I guess it is?? Because if I have a girlfriend people will be like "oh I didn't know you were a lesbian, because you used to date that one boy" or whatever. It's like it never even occurs to them that I could like both? It can be frustrating.

I have seen some people suggesting Tao as bi before. I definitely think he is attracted to men. I've also heard rumors that he had  a girlfriend pre debut (around 16 or 17) that he seemed pretty upset about breaking up with, but who knows.

I agree with you about Jonghyun! He definitely strikes me as bisexual. Same with Baekhyun, but for him I'm not too sure. Sometimes I can't tell whether he's actually attracted to his members of if he's just an affectionate guy in general. I do think that if he's bi, he'd be more interested in women though.

 

Also, why do you think Xiumin is bisexual?

 

 

 Baekhyun is a bit confusing. I also think he sometimes seems attracted to other members (mostly tall members like Chanyeol and Kris?), but for some reason I never feel very certain with him as he does strike me as a very affectionate person in general. 

 

Xiumin I mostly think is bisexual because of the way he answers certain questions. Like that one interview with Men's Style where he said  "No matter guy or lady, I respect the charms that are prominent on the surface. It's just a matter of who attracts me more." and the way he frequently mentions liking "pretty people"  He also often answers ideal type questions in a more broad and vague way than the other members (though I don't think that necessarily proves anything as those are often scripted).

 

He reminds me of Junsu from DBSK/JYJ sometimes too. Like he's quite shy a lot of the time and has that "cute" image, but he can also be reallllllly sexual. I don't know I see similarities between them sometimes, and I also think Junsu is bisexual. His interactions with Luhan are a bit questionable sometimes too, and actually even other male idols. He seems very aware of the people around him and his effect on them.  I don't really know but he just gives off that sort of vibe to me.  He also has lots of fanboys!

I've heard various boyfriend rumors for Tao, but no girlfriend rumors. He is like the flamingest flame ever, so girlfriend rumors probably don't spread very well since almost nobody believes them 

 

 

Xiumin is confusing. He almost seems like he might not be sure himself? Like I could totally see him being straight or bi, but he makes you wonder what he sees himself as... Regardless of his own orientation though he seems from the outside to be a fairly accepting lad, which is a nice thought 

 

 

Yeah, I don't know how valid the girlfriend rumors are, but they went around the C-fandom for a bit. Actually I saw them discussing it on the Tao thread on OH. (x) The rumor was that he dated her when he was around 16 or 17. There were pictures of the girl and two songs that Tao apparently recorded and posted online that were about her.

 

I personally see Tao as gay just because I have never seen him seem even remotely interested in another girl, and I follow him pretty closely, but I'm open to other interpretations. 

 

I could totally see Xiumin having a sort of undetermined sexuality, but yes I also think he seems pretty accepting. He is close with a few people that get discussed on this thread like N from VIXX and Sungmin from Super Junior. *crosses fingers there isn't a Lay like incident involving Xiumin* 

 

speaking of xiumin, there's this one model dude that's like in love with him if not that then has a crush on him because he posted pics of xiumin sayin he's nice lookin or along those lines.

Actually I didn't pay much attention to Infinite at first, but my friend is really into them, and she helped me see the error of my ways.  I first started paying attention to him because I thought he was so nice to his fan boys, and seemed to pay them extra attention. I thought it was nice, and it made me think he would be accepting if nothing else, and then just through watching them a bit off and on I feel like he has shown attraction to both genders (namely Sungjong in the male category).

I agree with what u said, that if he isn't fully gay, he is as far as I can see definitely bi at least. Though, I am leaning towards the theory of him being gay, as despite watching tons of Myungsoo x Girl scenes (You are my OPPA, CFs- and hella awkward acting scenes), I have never seen him showing some kind of attraction, affection or interest towards the opposite sex. Also, as you said, the way he acts around Sungjong and his obvious attraction towards the youngest of the Infinite family are quite questioning and less than just friendly touchy-touchy skinship that we get to see non-stop, even within Infinite. Personally, I think that Sungjong and him are quite a legit couple.

Honestly I wouldn't be too shocked if they were a couple. I think it's possible Luhan had a bit of a crush on Xiumin, but even if he did I doubt it ever went anywhere tbh. They didn't really give off in a relationship vibes to me. I think they were/are really really close friends with a bit of unresolved sexual tension (mostly coming from Luhan). I'm even one of the few people who thinks Xiumin could be bi, and I still don't think anything really happened between them though I totally understand why people find their relationship suspicious.
