You need to really have lived in Asia to know the difference between male friendship there and westerners ones. You would notice that having key cards/passwords is a sign of trust in Asia, where in western cultures you don't give easily a key to someone you only know for few months or years. Bonding period is different, ask around if you don't trust me. Also when dating around, in Asia friends actually get salty if you spend too much time with your partner, to the point they come by at your office and want to buy you lunch ( true story in seoul) My point is, I don't know your background, but I advise you to spend more time in Asia before you make blanket statements like that. I love how we generalize both Asians and Westerners here lol I live in a western country where people get salty when their friends start ditching them for their partner 24/7, where new friends trust each other quickly w house keys etc.. Only other continent that might have similar cultural behaviour is Arabic/Turkish/Some balkan countries. But if you go to a German/British guy and cuddle with as friends, you would get pushed from the sofa or get a soft punch. My point is and was, there are different cultural behaviours and that should always be included when you are assessing friends or possible couples true the lens of a westerner. I said that we’re generalizing not stereotyping, it’s two different things! And based on that, yes I’m saying that it’s not black and white when it comes to friendships. Some intl fans find it odd and go nuts shipping idols just bc they’re holding hands etc but dare I say those fans usually come from America or maybe even western Europe (in my experience) where friendships between males aren’t as.. touchy I guess.
