Which male idols do you think are gay?

According to koreans:

Jo Kwon, Key, Sungjong, Daehwi, Dongpyo, Woonggi, Kevin (I think I'm missing a few older gen idols)

Everyone else is either the fantasy of shippers, too unknown or too debatable (The Boyz New for instance). I've seen people mention BTS, EXO and NCT but the consensus is that they're mostly straight, besides Ten and maybe Jungwoo.

Also with Dongpyo and Woonggi on the list, I'm surprised there's no Hyeongjun considering those 3 are typically grouped together (and he's arguable more known than them).

Oh right I've seen Hyeongjun (and sometimes even his groupmate Seongmin) being mentioned but not as often as Dongpyo and Daehwi. He's still generally considered sus for sure. I assume the rest are just *confirmed* in a way?

Concerning New, many think he's gay but some are still iffy about it because of his predebut accounts. I don't follow his group so I don't know much about it this is just what I've seen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They seem to argue about a lot of idols so it's hard to tell.

Edit: Sehun has a lot of gf rumors from what I've heard. I think the main issue is that korean fans don't take bisexuality (or questioning people) seriously so if a male idol had a gf that's enough proof for them that person is straight. Another issue is that if an idol doesn't visually ping they won't even consider them as being anything other than straight. There's also a lot of homophobia and wishful thinking (from the shipper side).

Sadly there's not a lot of LGBT awareness and most just go for stereotypes (even the gay people themselves).

A mix of both. What I've seen on the korean lgbt side of twitter and on some forums. I've heard once that fans of gay idols make up girlfriend rumors to protect them or get super defensive while fans of straight idols try their best to hide any possible gfs. I don't know how true it is but it's easy to manipulate information.

Yes they talk about actors and other celebs. I've seen a lot of speculation about Park Bogum, Jung Haein and singer Paul Kim. I'm not really interested in them though so I don't know much in depth.

Older idols... U-KISS Kevin from what I remember. Some of them were surprised that Ryeowook is dating a woman.

If the korean acting industry is anything like hollywood most of these costars couples are just PR contracts. A lot of them usually have 3 yr contracts, coincidentally like the song song couple (2016-2019). Park Bogum was dragged in this mess because people can't tell the difference between acting and reality (and because everyone ignores his gay rumors). And if I'm not mistaken Song Joongki himself had some rumors a long time ago but it's pretty hard to confirm right now.

Besides Sunoo and maknae line, Enhypen seems straight, especially Jake and Jay. Also Sunghoon looked a bit uncomfortable when Niki said they're getting married as a joke. I don't really get anything from Heeseung.

I never really liked the clique the other boys had. They accepted Jake very fast in their group but not Sunoo. But now that the show is finished they look much closer and Sunghoon even seems a bit fond of him.

This thread avoids stereotypes but in korean communities their assumptions are 100% based on stereotypes  if they don't fit the stereotypical gay image to a T they're considered straight and they call you delusional for  implying they're not.

Chinese rumours aren't reliable. Anything that comes from Weibo is probably fake, they make up a lot of stuff out of thin air. Of course sometimes they get it right but from yrs of coming across chinese rumours, most of them are bullshit.

Bighit used to push a very manly man no homo image on BTS during their early days and their mentality hasn't fully changed with how they assess trainees. On I-Land Doobu praised Sunoo for looking "masculine" on stage for the first time, as if being feminine was wrong. And Supreme boi who was openly homophobic still works with them. I know Jo Kwon has a good relationship with Bang Shihyuk but I still have some doubts with how well they would receive a gay idol that's directly under their company. I don't think they're as bad as YG but SM and JYP (and even Starship) look more supportive to me.

This seems pretty hard to figure out. She denied V and Bogum and they were the most well known "couple". If they started dating in 2016 and they are from a very popular group with more than 100M views on mvs then it must be either BTS or EXO right? I can only think of V and Jin...? Suho's friend is a musical actor but he's not well known, Sehun was linked to a chef, Ksoo is an actor and she said the idol isn't one...

Is it just me or are 4th gen boygroups super straight   TXT, Ateez, Treasure, Enhypen (minus Sunoo), Stray Kids... The Boyz and Cravity are the only groups who have more sus members.

slightly OT, what i think of some 4th gen groups-

but i actually think Ateez really only has 1 (maybe 2) lgbt members. I get very strong straight vibes from them.

for TXT i think Soobin is definitely sus. Hueningkai is either gay or straight in my eyes (sort of like Seungkwan from SVT) but i'm leaning towards straight. People think Taehyun is sus too.

yeah Enhypen definitely seems like a pretty straight group. Some things i'll say though- Niki is too young to form an opinion on and I'm in the camp that thinks Sunghoon may be bi (for now).

 

 

Why do people think Taehyun is sus? He's an ally but I've never seen anything to suggest a possible attraction to men. He comes across as a pretty regular but openminded straight guy to me.

I'm surprised he actually replied to that question. Most idols usually ignore stuff like that. Regardless, his answer means nothing because no idol can come out right now.

I think it makes sense because The Boyz gained more popularity and attention after Road to Kingdom so he would attempt to clean his image. And even if those were his friends words, it doesn't look like he was bothered by it. He could have deleted the answers.
