We've hit the one year mark before he's released from the military and I'm really interested to see what he does with that complete.

I'd like to discuss his lyrics from his last solo album but I know when that came out some people were uncomfortable with that because of connections being made to Jonghyun and the freshness of that wound.

I'm thinking about posting some speculation and thoughts here since more time has past (although I'll probably put it behind a spoiler cut for those who want to avoid it).

Recently Key was seen wearing fan-made heart-shaped keychains, one has a photo of Jonghyun and the other a picture of himself.

At the end of the day, Taeyong is the only person with the power to change his own image. Jonghyun himself stood up for a LGBT student and openly showed support for gay rights on Twitter when he was at the peak of his career (the year he won a Daesang). So there's no excuse. If Taeyong is not homophoboc anymore indeed, he could very well express his views now, by either posting a message clarifying his thoughts, picking up a rainbow flag on a concert, writing a song about the issue, anything. It's true he's not 12 anymore, but you can't expect people to change their minds about him until he openly shows that he's different and he's an ally now (if he is).

if anything, it's rather suspicious that he's had two dating scandals with two popular female idols from the big3. i'm sure he's not the only exo member who's dating, so why have they "caught" him twice? it is suspicious. i'm not saying it was necessarily PR to cover up his sexuality, maybe the companies had to cover up other kinds of scandals

I find his relationship with Taemin sus too, keep in mind that Taemin was sent to We got Married  (that show exists solely to push a het image on idols). BTW i do think both of them like women, but they could be bi.

LMAO trust me, there's been PR for Key. Key had to take part in We Got Married as well, the only purpose of that was forcing a het image on him.

shinee KEY (gay):
- his model boyfriend from 2013
- recent songs he's written about "losing his love from younger days", "I live in those traces of everything your hands touched". most likely about jjong. Recently was seen with a heart-shaped keychain with photos of jjong and him
- the fact that he has a lot of girl friends (yeri, taeyeon, soyou, boa,) who all visit him in the military and post photos together without worrying about rumors- they wouldnt do that with a straight male idol
- his collab with openly gay singer Olly Alexander, his love for Hedwig and Lady Gaga

shinee JONGHYUN (bisexual):
- based on the lyrics key's recently written, its implied they were more than friends
- wrote romantic/sexual music  about men such as Playboy, Cocktail ("what's in my hand is not a glass"), 02:34 ("It’s my first time asking a male friend to not go back home"), Monodrama ("I want to resemble you, I want to hug you. but it’s too much to even linger next to you")
- he said he wanted to be the female protagonist in Your Name so he could date the male protagonist 

exo SEHUN (gay):
- ryeowook, chen and xiumin basically outed him as gay on a radio show 

wayv TEN:
- his teacher outed him

- in After School Club, the topic of gay rumours and gay fanfiction came up, and in that moment the members looked at him and patted him in a noticeable and supportive way. Don't know much about nu'est, but that moment was very telling

nct MARK (bi/gay)
- I don't know much about him so I'm not sure. but the way he's been acting so flustered around kai is sus. he keeps mentioning how kai is "very gentle", how he was nervous to touch him but now "they're all over each other", how they "laugh together well", how much he "likes his physical appearance".

- exo KAI (bi)
- said nct Mark is very sexy when he speaks english
- said he and Taemin used to sneak out and sleep together in the practice rooms as trainees
- he proudly wears heels and crop tops, if anything his masculinity isn't toxic at all

Key seems very vulnerable and open today. I hope he's doing okay. I, too, am interested in seeing how he chooses to be after military service. I think some of his choices honestly depend on what he thinks Jonghyun may have wanted. Real or not, those two are irrrvocably tied together in people's minds and if Key chooses to be open or say something, it will affect how people view Jonghyun.

 

If Yunho or Jaejoong were to come out/be open, no matter their relationship or current feelings toward each other, i am 100% that they would consilt the other first, because it would effect the other. Key no longer has the option to consult this person he's tied to and it's tragic but I think it affect him and his decisions. 

 

Although, he does seem to be making them and if the IG translation is correct, he's making pretty bold statements that somehow don't seem to read platonically.

 

 

doesn't his IG caption translate to "I love you and I miss you a lot"? I don't think that's necessarily "not platonic". though I do believe they were together at some point.
