Now, with idols and their notorious crazy fan culture, coming out may even mean a life-threatening decision, for themselves and for their family. Also, once an idol comes out, he would have a harder time being around any male friends without speculations.

 

His parents asked him to commit a group suicide after he came out.

Could you all kindly not post info that presumably was spread by sasaengs?
Firstly as a person who stans early second generation group I had some uncomfortable runs with sasaengs. And no they don't post on quora or share things in private facebook groups. Info that is usually this easily attainable is basically fanfictions. 

Do consider this small chance, that some of the info was guessed correctly or was actually from a sasaeng (usually angry ones  who want idols to suffer so they spread what they know). Kindly think what you are doing by spreading it? Sasaengs is a fancy word for stalkers. Stalkers that follow idols and collect facts about their personal life and who are they dating, their sexuality and other information that should be left alone to control them and hold this information over their heads. People who are sharing info that is possibly from stalkers here are basically enabling them to continue and do worse. Think about the idol you actually claim to be a fan of and if you are not crossing the line with all those links
Guessing, considering things is one thing. Spreading info that could be potentially from stalkers is a very low move and I question anyone here who posted it it or asked for it. Those who are searching for info like this and joining groups to get it. Why? Imagine if the idol is actually gay he browses twitter and sees some wacko accounts reposting sasaengs rumors from here to twitter and spreading them? Don't do to others something that you would not want to experience too.

This is horrible. It's a ground to take all rights from a gay person on pretext that they are mentally ill.

They were called out mid 2016. Most of the claims were so-so. Eventually a statement and an apology was released that year too. (cr.)

In the first few years no korean idol group can make their decision. Their images are more or less created by companies. This why shifts tend to happen later in their carrier when they have a stable base. Jaejoong for example had to stay silent for ages because company pushed on him "calm/mysterious" image and in reality he is a rebel and a chatter box. Thing is, it works only for a couple  years because it's difficult to hide personalities/taste if they are really clashing with the image. I would put more attention in their music few years before and after contract reviewal. It's time when the company gives idols more freedom in attempt to keep them happy and after reviewal idols usually negotiate more rights/freedoms so music tends to mirror their views more

This sounds very much as the art of SM fanservice so yes? I do admit that Taeyong seems to do a lot of it lately. As if he is trying to compensate for some past unfortunate news. What could it be I wonder hmm?
Still not on YunJae level of fanservice, but he tries! I will give him that!

Jaejoong learned from the best - acting lessons by H.O.T Heejun who was an expert of some fanservice with Kangta, Tony.  Seems like Taeyong ended up without a teacher and is still trying to find a fine line between making the fanservice look natural and forced.
Just so you know - I didn't neg any of your posts. There should be a book about SM fanservice in my opinion

Taeyong sometimes does that type of fanservice when it was made part of a song's choreo, but he rarely initiate it outside of performing or off stage. 

Not NCT Hollowould but all that story of him using gay as insult on his friend. 
This one is clearly not to me, but to that one person who confuses every fanservice as a proof. As long as boys are filmed, doesn't matter on stage or off as some kind "behind" cuts, they know that fans will be watching. Knowing SM's  love for sanservice, I would take any proofs like that with a LOT of salt. Especially typical ones

You asked what I meant I answered - as easy as that. That's for everyone to decide, especially for those who are LGBTQ+. Each personally decides if they feel insulted when their sexuality is used as an insult by a teen or not. So your choice and I don't argue with that?
Knowing how SM works, knowing how SM uses fanservice as an advantage, and knowing that his past statement affected part of his current fans, I do think it might have adjusted the amount of adviced/done fanservice to some extent.  
I think that any other discussions about his character and what not should be done privately in respect to the theme of this thread. So dm me if you want to discuss more
