I'm so confused with how majority of the fandom is convinced they're "real" or whatever and how they're in love with each other but I don't see it AT ALL especially from Hoseok's side.  

 

I don't think majority of the fandom is into ships, let alone "SOPE".

Doesn't every fandom has its main ships? I've seen a lot of accounts dedicated to Taekook, Jikook, Yoonmin, Yoonseok, Namjin etc. I would even go as far to say that most, if not all, groups encourage shipping, as shipping is a part of fanservice which brings them a lot of money. Shipping isn't really even a problem for the homophobic fans as they just tend to make it heteronormative and make the smaller, "delicate" one into a girl (cough Chanbaek shippers cough). Shipping is almost the backbone of every group lol

Yes, of course, but I wouldn't say that "majority" of the fandom ship Jh and Sg. At least not romantically. As for the ships in general, as an older fan, I kinda got a feeling that's usually a big thing between younger fans (all of the ship-accounts I've seen on Instagram, for example, are made by teenage girls; I'm not saying all of the shippers are kids, I'm just saying I think that there's more younger fans that pay attention to that).

 

Also I guess it depends where you're from, it didn't even cross my mind to look any of them as a couple until I started seeing it on twitter, insta etc, since their behaviour is just a usual friendly behaviour to me, and they're freaking screaming when they need to kiss on a cheek which is completely normal where I'm from lol

Every BTS fan admits that Jimin is no longer obsessed with Jungkook. 

It's not that he's no longer "obsessed" with Jungkook, it's just that Kookie is no longer a shy 15 year old, and Jimin doesn't have to cling and harass lol so he could get attention on camera, because Jk acts more comfortably now. So it's probably less noticeable now when Jk plays along instead of launching Jimin across the room.

 

I guess I'm a Jikook shipper, but Jk just flirts with everyone imo. And this is coming from a person who grew up in an environment where men (any gender really, I'm talking about friends) are even more touchy and close than Korean idols. A lot of things that a western fan would see and consider more than friendship-I usually don't see it that way.

But JK freaking flirts with everyone! You can ship him with anyone. Yeah, Jimin is cute and cuddly with everyone, Tae is touchy, but Jk is another level in my opinion. The looks he's giving... I don't know...

(And not just guys. There's a couple of videos of him flirting with female reporters for example. But I don't think he's straight. Bi, pan, whatever, but not straight.)

I know that earlier in this thread I said that I thought Jimin was just being supportive of Hobi and his mixtape, but there have been so many suspicious things since then that I can't say its just "supportive bro" behavior anymore. Jimin's always been really flirty and extra on camera so when it first came up here (I think it was after those infamous tweets where Jimin was pining after Hobi laying on his bed hugging his photo) I kinda just attributed it to that. Like....what exactly are they editing out here that's so explicit they cut away that suddenly and awkwardly? This is Bts too, they're known for being super physically affectionate and Bighit isn't shy about showing that. Earlier in this same video, Hobi kisses both Taehyung and Jungkook on the head (albeit in a very brotherly way through a hat/hoodie) and the video shows it. Even if I play devil's advocate and attempt to straight-splain it, I can't really come up with any logical excuse. Its also worth noting that Jimin and Hobi are room mates and have shared a room for years, despite the fact that Bts moved dorms about three times within that time frame. I just wonder what happened that made their behavior so much more explicit and open recently.

Hmmm why do so many people think Jungkook is straight ?

I mean I thought so as well for a long time but I have never really seen him show much attraction to anyone now that I think about it.

He could be anything but a majority of people seem to be convinced he is straight.

I think it's just a majority of young girls. Even the ones that are (wayyyyyy) into ships freak out if someone mentiones he might really, actually be gay. He's the only member I've been convinced about for years. 

And the fuckboy, masculine, tough guy image... I mean, yeah, he can act like that, but then also:

Also, I need to rant a little. I keep seeing comments saying stuff like "there's no way more that one member is gay" (no matter what group). There's thousands of guys auditioning every year, why is it so hard to imagine there's more than one gay guy in a group of 10 people? Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if there were all-gay groups.

It kinda reminds me of myself when i used to make sure everyone knew i was crushing on a footballer so no one would suspect my gay ass i even had hundreds of pictures of him on my phone and would always talk about him and even though i did like him as a player and found him attractive it was never in a romantic/sexual way. 

 

And IU seems like that girl that everyone likes whether you're straight or gay or a banana, i'm sure i read a post here that said Holland is a big fan of hers and that video of the gay korean dude who also said he liked her so i'm guessing she could also be popular with the lgbt community in Korea? 

 

 Again, i can be wrong but that's how i feel about it, i'd actually be really surprised if his crush on her ends up being real and not just pure admiration for her as a singer.

And people always use this as a proof that he likes women. But he acts completely normal around female colleagues and fangirls at fansigns. Which again doesn't have to mean he's gay, of course, but I'm just saying him freaking out that much over a girl is not a great proof of him being straight imo.  

Also him being nervous when IU is around, that video where he doesn't want to sit next to her for example... I'm straight but there's no way you could make me sit next to Sunmi because I would freaking die.

Him saying his ideal type is someone like IU also sounded like "oh, I admire this singer and she's pretty, lets just use her from now on whenever someone asks me a girl related question".

At this point, it's pretty obvious that they are a couple in the storyline

I had no idea about this, I guess I never really paid enough attention to these two. Now I need to rewatch everything.

The things that make their relationship obvious are 'non-obvious' things, like the Jungkook references in Yoongi's First Love Short Film

The tune Yoongi plays in the piano and the whistle he keeps trying to follow is Jungkook's Begin, the car crashing at the piano in the end is a reference to Jungkook's car accident, etc.

And as if it wasn't already obvious, in one of the HYYH notes (that I posted here recently) Yoongi is in the same scenario as in the First Love Short Film, but the only difference is that instead of only findding the piano in the music store, he also finds Jungkook there.

 

 

And this is not even 1/3 of all the things that connect them as a couple. As I said, they're not obvious, so you need to know at least a little bit of the sotryline to get it

I'm aware of the connections, I just never thought of them as a couple. But now that you said it... Hmm.
