í† ë¼ 534
My fiance just got a job offer today and we have less than two weeks to pack and move everything. We'll have to drive for almost 10 hours to get to our new location and will be moving all of our belongings with us. I was hoping it wouldn't cost us too much as getting into our new home will be costly enough. I was wondering if anyone here had any good tips for saving money during a big move. This will be the first time for either of us to live in a different state or drive a long distance, so I'm somewhat clueless.

í† ë¼ 534
^ Yea he told me how much it should cost, but it'd be like all the cash we have on us at the moment until he gets paid again.
Schitstainz 1,562
- Reduce electricity costs by not using lights; use candles instead. - Learn to deal with the incoming heat from the Summer. Don't use fans or air conditioning. - Change your eating habits. - Cut down on useless garbage, like junk food, games, and entertainment. - Cut down on more useless garbage by selling the stuff you don't need. If you don't watch TV, sell it. If you don't need that couch, sell it. If you don't need your coffee table or cabinets, sell them. This allows you to spend less on your U-Haul or whatever mode of transportation you decide to go with.

It's all over the internet. Most require cutting down and changing the way you normally live.
