Or are u one of those ppl who didnt like long relationship? One of my friends got married only after 6 months relationship and they're still live happily together until now (they're into 3rd year now)

For me i think i'll need 2 years...at least..

i dont think there's a set answer, different for everyone

you could marry someone a month after knowing them and end up together forever

or marry each other after 10 years of dating and divorce right away ( i've seen this happen)

For me, at least 3 years..?

Since marriage is a serious business, not just a picnic at the park. You are about to spend the rest of your lives with that person.

And divorce is a complicated thing that shouldn't be taken easy.

There isn't an exact answer since each relationship is a different relationship but anything less than 1 year is a recipe for disaster IMO. If I'm going to marry someone it's important to know the person really well and I don't think it's possible with just one year of dating.

for me at least 4-5 years. marriage IS serious and there is a lot to it (depending on your country and the laws)

however, I wouldn't say that marrying after any certain time period will guarantee or determine anything

Ideally, I would like to marry after 2 1/2 years.

My friend's parents only waited for six months and they're still together, so I think less might work out. However, I've seen too many psycho movies to marry after meeting a person under one year.

And a maximum of 4 years.

Not always. You need to meet my bff's parents. Their 20th anniversary is coming up and they married six months after meeting each other.

A lot of people have said this already, but it's different for every couple. Every relationship has its own culture and if you've built something absolutely amazing and comfortable in just a few months, then that's amazing. Some people don't feel that comfort, stability, and have faith that the relationship will be long lasting until years after the beginning....and that's okay, too.

Yeah, I'm speaking in general. In this example you mentioned I think it's important to take in consideration it's another generation and people would get married way younger than they do now but I agree that there are exceptions and people who can make it work.

It depends on the couple. Everyone is different, my parents married after only dating for 3months and they have been married 36 years and counting. Then there are those who marry after 2-3 years of dating and end up getting divorced a year or two later. Who knows!
