We were both very into music and he was always giving me songs to listen to. There’s a lyric in it that goes ‘Once upon a different life we rode our bikes into the sky’. Kinda tacky but it was kind what it was between us, like it could have been if both of us were in a different world. I was going through a dark period then as well so the lyrics were a comfort to me too. It’s been a long time but I still feel very poignant when I hear it now.
