hi nice to meet you. im brittany, can anyone describe the DMTN members' personalities and talents?

Hi Brittany! Welcome to the DMTN thread!

I'm really bad at this but I'll tell you what I that until someone can give a better explanation. Btw is this for a project or do you just want to know?

 

DMTN has been around for a minute so there are plenty of interviews and shows our that showcase their personalities. If I were you I would star with DMGOS since its almost fully translated.

 

Daniel-Suave yet still humble, also hard-working. He has a bit of a cute side but I wouldn't  say he acts like the maknae. He seems like a very deep thinker. He is the belter of the group.

 

Jisu-He is loud and very goofy. Very much the comedian of the group. Has a beautiful head voice and vocal runs. He's also a really good dancer.

 

Donglim-Definitely the quietest one. He seems like the actual maknae because he's the cutest and most innocent I guess. He is also babied by even the younger members. He's the best at dancing.

 

Simon-He's the athlete of the group, so he is very competitive and is an overachiever. I think he is the most affectionate one. He can pretty much do everything. Still trying to discover his weakness.

 

Dari-He's kinda quiet, but definitely not timid. He's very stylish. Lives, sleeps, breaths hip hop. He's a bit like Simon in that can do a lot of things but always the most random things like bruce lee moves.

 

David-I feel like he the realist one (not that the others are fake) but he just has a blunt way about him. The best rapper of the group. He's pretty confident but his shy side comes out when he is not in his element. He's the gym rat of the group. He is also good at impersonations.

 

Inati-Has a quiet confidence about him. He has the qualities of a leader but takes a back seat and quietly observes until his leadership is necessary, then he quickly takes charge of the situation. But he is a hard-worker.  He also has a cute somewhat child-like side as well. I also feel that he is a bit eccentric because he does weird things randomly. He is the best at modeling and acting.

Hi there !

I don't know if I have already said hi before, I keep confusing myself with the akp forums lol I am Hellayne (Hélène) I've been a fan since Round 1, and I basically took a look at their debut because Daniel was Beast's Yoseob's pre-debut partner. (I am a B2uty and a Melody).

I was just looking at my twitter list of Dalmatian, because I miss them. And I saw Jisu/Jeesu and Dari's tweets about their songs on soundcloud !

I love Jisu's voice, I feel so happy hearing it. And damn, I missed Dari so much ! I ship them two, thanks to DMGOS.

Their 1st album was perfect, the best 1st mini album I've listened to.

I also saw Simon's birthday pic. You don't know how much I am happy to see David with them (though Inati is missing, and Daniel...).

I am going to backtrack to see what I missed !

Yes, Jisu's voice is heavenly. Jisu is would be my bias if I had one because I liked him first during Round 1, then the others started screwing up my bias list especially Simon and Dari. Haha Darisu is a very strange ship but somehow it works.

I was so happy to see David with them too. I miss them all.

I don't think I have a bias, I love every one of them but I have a preference for Jisu, Dari, Daniel, David and Simon. Jisu, Daniel and Simon's voices, Dari & David's rap, Darisu & David's funny sides.

Ah too bad. It would have been cool if Simon was there. Maybe another time. I'm just hoping they have something up their sleeves to surprise us with in due time.

And Dalmates are making me proud because they flood every member's sns with comments asking about a comeback or saying how much the miss DMTN. Dalmates are the best. Always supporting the boys through the good and bad

I would freak out if I ever saw David or Daniel in person. For some reason I wouldn't approach David just stare in awe from afar because he looks too intimidating to just walk up to, same for Simon but I would approach Daniel and even ask for a hug. I think he would accept

*UGLYSOBBING* I AM SOOOOO HAPPY TO SEE this! Y'all don't know how this makes me feel. Dalmate always <333 My intuition must've been saying something when I started thinking about them a couple of days ago after idleness. I have a GOOD feeling, but even more, I'm so happy seeing Daniel do well. That's what matters the most to me, I'm happy that it seems he's doing well and it looks as if he's put that part of his life behind him while making progress in moving on. 

 

I agree, David has always been really intimidating to me. Lol, he's so handsome and sexy, yet I'd be afraid of him. It'd be nice to have a boyfriend like him, to be honest lol. He's a strong male figure. 

Yeah man, keep the hope alive. I have a feeling they will comeback maybe not as DMTN or maybe not with the full roster but they will come back.

 

I know I was so excited when I saw Daniel's update. I hope he will update regularly from now on because Dalmates really miss him.

I don't know if you saw Simon's message but he posted a letter to Dalmates in the DMTN fancafe around the same time Daniel left that Instagram comment, saying that they would come back with a better image.

I used to follow him, but I don't know if I still do or not, that's probably why. Cause he was actually one of the MOST frequent SNS user for a while. I probably need to check if I still follow him. 

Donglim, David, and Dari update frequently, except that one time Dari disappeared for months, then he like showed out of nowhere with Vagx pictures lol.

I miss Simon and Daniel the most.

I don't think there will be any official statement. Who even knows if 2works still exists. I don't know if DMTN members thought fans already assumed disbandment but they haven't said a word. Someone should just post a statement of disbandment in the fancafe and put Dalmates out of their misery already.

Now i'm so saddened - I'm Tobi, i've been a Dalmate since 2011 with the 1^st Mini-Album

 

 

I just adored how their music both developed & matured over the years, I'll miss them sorely as my #1 guy-group...

Wish I joined OH & the thread earlier - Jeesu is my bias, infact he's my ultimate male... I'll follow him wherever...

No official word but its finally safe to say they have disbanded since Jisu is joining a new group.

 

Simon seems to be doing well as a producer.

I have no idea what Inati is up to, other than the occasional modeling gig with Vagx and posting scripts on his IG, so he's maybe auditioning a lot?

Donglim seems like he's spending a lot of time at the gym?

 

And I'm actually happy for Jisu. He's working with Kim Taewoo, who is one hell of a singer himself, so he can do a lot more for Jisu and his vocals than most companies could. He also said something about seeing Jisu back on stage by the end of the year.

I'm so happy Kim Taewoo took Jisu under his wing. It would be nice if he put Donglim in the group too, but it seems like Kim Taewoo is going for a vocal group...well that's just the feeling I got.

 

I think Inati should continue pursuing an acting career.

True but I think Simon is content just being a producer. He gave the idol thing a second shot and it didn't work out so I can't see him returning especially at his age. Same thing for Inati and Dari.

One of the biggest Jisu fangirls on tumblr calls him Jeechunk.

Don't forget that he was a chubby kid. I wouldn't be surprised if he's a nervous eater and when they went on hiatus... well, there was probably not a lot to do but be nervous for awhile.

Okay, I'm just going to say I'm alarmed by those two clips.

I don't think he IS doing so well. Either he's having a hard time (thus the trying not to cry vid) or he's looking for attention (thus *posting* the crying not to cry vid), and the latter would also indicate the former. Follow that up with a clip of him *emptying* a clip... and I'm more than a little worried for the maknae.

As for the second one. I don't like it at all but I don't like guns. Shooting range is harmless fun for some people and doesn't necessarily reflect a poor mental emotional state.

So what other guy groups are you guys into?

There are literally no guy groups that come close filling the void Dalmatian left.

I don't come across guys groups that have both strong vocalists and rappers with no dead weight members and are good looking in a manly way and don't have any members born after like 93.

I know, I guess (we) Asians really have something with slow-aging/young looks.

Dalmatian's members were manly, this is so true. Even the slim Jisu from Round 1 ! (Let's forget Dongrim's long hair during E.R lol)

 

My two favourite groups are Beast and BTOB. Dalmatian was the third (second before BTOB came). My very first group is Big Bang, I miss their old style (Haru Haru, Always, Lies etc). I also am a fan of C-Clown.

These 4 groups all have a link to Beast lol I won't deny it, except for Big Bang that I knew first, I looked up to the groups because of this. Then their talents made me a fan.

I listen to many other groups (I don't follow them much aside from music releases) : Block B, EXO, Teen Top, Infinite, DB5K...

 

Still, Dalmatian is the only group that had a perfect first mini album.

YES even Donglim is manly! If he ever seemed like a princess its just in comparison to like Inati/David/Simon/Daniel who are pretty damn manly. I kinda feel bad for him because he seemed to want to be macho but everyone treated him like the flower boy lol.

 

I used to like Big Bang too...their earlier works. I tend to be on the fence with Beast. I like about half of their songs and half of the members. I haven't heard any BTOB or C-Clown music and I don't know the members so I will have to check them out. Thanks for the recommendation

MC Mong's remake of E.R is beautiful   I'm so curious about The Channels, I can't find any info about them...

I actually thought it was Jeesu singing the chorus, so I thought it may be his new group
