Nah you don't sound vain. its a good thing that you do. Cameras are pretty difficult to avoid, and getting people to delete pictures that they took on the sly is even more difficult.

Everywhere I go, it always says "out of print". I'm almost willing to pay good money to get my hands on a brand new copy. It seriously hurts my soul that I do not have access to such an amazing album. They didn't give us time! They should've made more copies. I'm so upset by that.

Well, I live in Kentucky so there is no K-town unfortunately lol. But I'm going to New York in the next 2 weeks, maybe I could visit their Korea town and check it out? That would be epic if they had it!!!

Omg it makes me want to see the boys working their magic in the studio. There was an MIB video, like that where it showed them producing/recording. It was pretty amazing. I think Dari probably also had a touch in the 1st mini (his rap verses were always fiyah!) But Simon also writes (I still remember his We Are Got Homie lol)

 

Yeah, people that don't know much about VA are always surprised that there is a K-town here. Actually most people are surprised that there is anything other than rednecks here.

Very true.   The first time I saw the bandanna thing, my brain went straight to '...oh they're going to try to be all hip-hop styled this time?' Which is probably part of why I thought of Westside Story.   Because k-hip-hop -> gangs + music = Westside Story to me, I guess. (LEAVE ME ALONE I'M OLD) Edit: or not, maybe it was just the ridiculousness of them crawling around on the ground and trying to be all fierce while I was staring at my monitor, absolutely bewildered at how EXO stans are going to be shrieking that this is the best thing ever. Maybe the actual MV and performances will be less ridiculous... but after the high drama that was MAMA, I'm not betting on it.

...why do I always really like the groups that are troubled? Or sorely under-rated/under-appreciated/unloved in their own country? Or considered nugu after years of being in the business?

 

I just saw it and I got second-hand embarrassment...and not the good kind that makes me laugh.

 

I like Block B too (I have been following them very closely since pre-debut. Does that make me a stan?).

Same about the troubled groups that get involved in some type of scandal or nugu after years of being in the industry (Block B, DMTN, MIB, Nine Muses, and I used to like 2PM a long time ago before their first big controversy). Then there's a couple of legit semi nugus I like-Spica, EXID, and AA that really talented but never get any type of recognition that its almost eerie.

I just can't like any groups from those major 3 (even though I used to be into Big Bang until about 2008). After becoming an ex-Hottest I lost faith in kpop, and then DMTN came into the picture August 2010  and I knew they were special

Well...actually when I saw Round 1 Teaser I wasn't too convinced but when I saw Round 1 MV I was hooked.

I LOVE newer/underrated groups. IDK,they just seem to have more talent than a lot of the bigger groups. Groups like WONDER BOYZ,M.I.B.,DMTN,NINE MUSES,VIXX. They just have more talent. I use to be a hardcore HOTTEST but i paid no attention to their comeback........damn im horrible. In all honesty,im waiting for a DMTN comeback. I dont care how long it takes. lol If DMTN was to do the same concept EXO is doing...................all the panties would fall from the sky. lol Truth. Im actually reading a DMTN fanfic and they're guess what.............wolves. Yep,the concept is def for DMTN. I liked EXO"MAMA" but that was it. LOL. Im not big on SM artists. OMG! i found this song on tumblr,someone else posted it. I was like OMG! His voice is too sexy. Ya'll know the song once the beat comes on. All i can say is Simon-oppa has Hip-hop in his veins and it runs like blood. omg. I was picturing him rapping and i almost died. 

"Nod Along" is amazing. Actually Sim's part is my favorite in Nod Along. Sims is another one of those older looking maknaes.

If DMTN had that concept they would definitely do it better. Heaps of talent (not saying that EXO has none) and years of experience does them well.

Lol, I LOVE "nugu" groups and some rookies, it feels like you can also get so much more closer to them than fans can with the more well known groups. I feel that the smaller groups are inclined to be more "real" with their and that's a huge benefit for me. And on top of that, exactly what you said, they always seem to have more talent and produce more quality than these big names.

Almost like can't help it. He doesn't even have to be performing on stage, because I have seen him do it when he raps on radio shows! Sims rap is my fav too! He's so amazing! Actually when i first saw SIMS,i thought he was maybe the 2nd oldest. But hell Kangnam-oppa doesnt look his age at all. I thought he was 23 til i was he was 26. I was like   .

Sims gets picked on by his hyungs a lot. Daniel actually has it good compared to the treatment Sims receives from his group lol. He's so cute and funny though. He really is the good guy of the group. His hyungs are just jealous because internationals are most attracted to Sims. When I first saw MIB I thought Cream might have been the youngest. Kangnam doesn't look or seem 26. Simon is the same age, and looks young too but you can tell Simon is a bit older by how mature he is.

Do you guys have a favorite song of theirs? 

ER is my favorite. That song is just so...powerful and dynamic and full of anguish. Its also very unique in the way its composed. I also like Drive, and I think Daniel and Simon really shined in that song. As for their older songs, I like Really Really and Round 1.

We'll find out about Dari at event at the end of June, I imagine. At the latest. It would be weird for them not to bring him back in for that, knowing that Daniel's not going, if he's still part of the group. I wonder if we'll have a final decision on Daniel's case by then.

 

They've said that State of Emergency is closer to their style than the cuter concept of the first mini. I suppose it depends on what you mean by hip-hop concept. If they all show up on stage in horrible gangsta wannabe clothes and do-rags, I'm quitting the fandom.

Dude, I hope they let us know whats going on. Do think 2works already know the outcome of Daniel's case? It seems like everything is taking forever.

 

I don't mean "gangsta" or "cute" (they're a bit too old to pull that off at this point lol), I guess what I mean is something more uptempo. Safety Zone and everything from SOM have been slow to mid-tempo, which is fine but because I prefer mid-tempo myself but I think up-tempo is probably more popular with kpop fans.

Like in those pink jogging outfits? I wanted to slap the shit out of the stylist because of that. They could've been in something so much better. But i dont think that'll ever happen. I mean there like what 3,4, people in DMTN that are legit hip hop,so im pretty sure they wont do anything like that. *Crosses fingers*

Yeah, those pink jogging suits were awful. A lot of dalmates liked those dalmatian kigurumi costumes that they performed in but I hated them lol. 2works won't do that to them. Although sometimes their style is questionable (Donglim's cinched waist), its an improvement from those pink jogging suits for sure.

I have a feeling we won't hear from 2works until there's a final verdict, so they can get everything out at once. They seem to have learned their lesson from being kind of frantic in their responses when the scandal first broke.

 

I've always appreciated that they don't sound like everybody else. There are so many groups with songs that are practically tradeable. I'm sure Duble Sidekick could come up with something that's less moody than ER and SZ, but I desperately don't want them to veer into club music and/or adding dubstep. They need to find a balance with something energizing but also meaningful. And for pity's sake, let the rappers have more than five seconds each in a 3:30 long song.

Hmm I suppose you're right. I'm hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. Dammit Daniel.

 

Duble Sidekick tends to write moody songs though. That's their signature. I like moody and dark themes but I do not want DMTN to be a one trick pony and have all of their songs from now on be like that. I do want them to have their own sound that sets them apart and make them easily recognizable though. They're songs have always had a lot of meaning, even their "cute" songs like

Round 1 and That Man Opposed were meaningful. I agree about the rappers lol. Well Simon doesn't have it as bad as Inati because he has singing and rap parts, but poor Inati...lol.

On this day, Kwon Taeho and Simon participated in the 100m race for the Men in their twenties division during the open “21^st Seoul City Long Term and Civic Life Athletics Championships Competition†which was held at Jamsil Sports Complex’s Olympic Stadium and they won 1^st and 3^rd place respectively and received a certificate of achievement and a medal.

Inati looks he hasn't been hitting the gym as much, because when they debuted he was ripped (ofc the lightining is different but even so he looked like he still had more definition to his abs if the lighting wasn't there)

Yeah Inati's muscles aren't as defined as they were back in the Round 1 days. Its pretty difficult to maintain a body like that with such a low body fat %. He probably worked out a lot pre-debut but after debut he doesn't have as much time to work out. Trust, me to keep a body like that you have to work out quite a bit and at a high intensity and you pretty much can't eat anything other than veggies and lean meat.

He can but I don't think his hair holds up well when bleached.

When he had that orangey-brown hair (the lightest color he's had) back in the DMGOS days, it didn't look too healthy. Plus I think its very difficult to get "white" hair if your hair is naturally black.

My hair is the same way. Bleaching is pretty much a death sentence to my hair lol.

Maybe that's why they've kept his hair dark brown to black.

It's odd how many international DMTEs are Inati biased. Apparently he doesn't really rank very highly among Dalmates in SK.

 

They've said that while they were on hiatus, they didn't have much of anything to do... so they worked out. I can't decide if the shirtlessness for ER was intentional or more of a happy accident (they all got ripped, so they went shirtless... or they were planning the concept and thus got ripped). I'm not going to pout about it either way, though.

 

Nobody's hair holds up well to repeated bleaching, and dark roots = extra bleaching. =/  It looks really soft in the teaser, though. *pets* But I do like his natural color.

 

And I had always heard that Daniel was the visual... except sometimes I've heard Jisu is. Now I kind of wonder if Simon is.

I have no idea how they rank in Korea but I'm pretty sure Daniel is the most popular internationally, but there are times when it seems like Inati or Simon are the most popular internationally. Jeesu and Donglim don't seem too popular internationally, and Dari doesn't seem to popular in Korea or Internationally lol.

 

That's a good point. I think it was planned to some extent. Even growing Donglim's hair out well in advance was planned (well some of that hair was hair extensions lol). Inati, Simon, and Daniel seem like they already worked out a lot in their free time but not Jeesu and Donglim and I think they even had a personal trainer.

 

I like Simon and Donglim with lighter hair (Donglim looked so cute when he had blue hair), and I like Jeesu and Daniel with darker hair. Inati seems like he can pull off a lot of different hair colors (of course he can, he's a model) but I think its best to preserve his hair and it looks so shiny when its black. I saw pre-debut pictures of Dari with blonde hair and I was not a fan. I think Dari actually needs longer hair.

^I think a lot of Day Day and Dari biases turned to Simon when he joined. I can't blame them. Personally I think all of the members except Donglimmie have been my bias at some point so I figure that actually means I don't have a bias.

 

I have no idea why their stylist thought it would be a good idea to give Dari a bowl cut.

I'm trying to think of how he would look with longer bangs like what Inati, Donglim, and Daniel have right now but I just can't picture it. I have never seen him with his hair that long. He has a small head so I'm not sure if it would look right.

 

I actually like Jeesu's short hair. I like his eyebrows and it makes him look more manly. Jeesu had a bowl cut too (In 'That Man Opposed' days) and it was disrespectful.

 

I have more Dari feels than I have Simon feels (which are few and far between). Those two pictures trigger them.    THANKS A LOT.
