I think Pristin had a fair amount of hype, but LOONA really kills the competition here.

 

Thing is, I think the longer the pre-debut process for a group is, the more hype will build up. It's just a matter of time. So LOONA just wins by default.

definitely blackpink, people where already stanning girls who we hardly knew anything about and only had blurry pictures of, making fansites for girls who weren't confirmed to be members, claiming random korean girls were members and posting their facebook accounts, etc. and then there was the kim eunbi and jang hanna bashing... predebut bp was kind of a mess from what i remember...
