Balancetonquoi 4,707 Posted January 19, 2018 Share Posted January 19, 2018 In my opinion: -Learning korean is not koreaboo -Saying random words that isnt part of your culture like : unnie, hyung, oppa etc ...thats koreaboo -I think if someone say things like : "annyeonghaseyo"(안녕하세요) or "kamsahamnida"(ê°ì‚¬í•©ë‹ˆë‹¤) is not really koreaboo cuz its just "Hi" and "thank you" in another language. I mean I speak french and sometimes I say "hi" and "thank you" in english to my friends lol its not cringy imo - if you wanna write those words its better to write them using hangul cuz writing the romanized? words is cringy imo -borrowing some aspects of their modern fashion and makeup isnt koreaboo. -wearing tradition cloths like hanbok is koreaboo -doing aegyo is koreaboo imo since its part of THEIR culture (its cringy even when koreans do it lol) Do you agree with me ? And imo it's just as cringy as non-Japanese people saying konnichwa and arigato.
