Dispatch Explains Why So Many Idols Get Injured During ISAC

Recommended Posts

Dispatch reported on the reason for so many injuries at the Idol Star Athletic Competitions after observing yesterday’s filming.

They reported that many idols get hurt during the relay and it’s all because of the track they use.

Rather than using tartan track like other running tracks, the track at ISAC is made of just sheets of sticker pasted to the ground — and it’s really slippery.

Seventeen’s Jeonghan fell after turning the corner during a race. He hit the ground the wrong way and injured his wrist.

Oh My Girl’s Mimi also fell just before the finish line. You could see the idols running to the sidelines of concern for her.

She was visibly upset at the end of the filming, with her members comforting her.

NU’EST W’s Aron wasn’t an exception either. After the scary moment, he posted to Instagram assuring fans he was okay.

“Our LOVE! You were really scared earlier, right? I’m okay so please don’t worry so much. You worked so hard to day! Thank you so much for cheering us on for so long. Please head home and rest! LOVE is the best!†

He valiantly finished the race but visibly struggled while doing so.

Are you joking or you really didn't know?

I guessed the first time I saw the track.

Anyway, it's surprising how they don't give a damn about idols getting injured. Even if the broadcasting company doesn't, the GP/fans should. Get this trash show cancelled.

For all the attention ISAC gets you would think they would at least invest in safe athletic equipment. Or, at the very least, you would assume that companies would find it in them to refuse to provide their idols for the competition until the production staff cleans up their act. After all, injuries only set groups back, and it's not as if there's some great reward that comes out of participating.

Keep ISAC but without any sporting events, and just have a camera on every group to capture all the idol interactions. Guarantee ratings will still be good, possibly better.

They could bring back the group dance battles too which were always so fun. There's honestly lots of other options that allow for the same number of idol groups without the risk of injuries.

Seriously, I still don't get the thought process behind not just going to a proper track field.
