johnnyrose 12,654 Posted January 18, 2018 Share Posted January 18, 2018 i have an interest in history and i've been into stuff about WW2 lately again. something i haven't been overtly familiar with is the concentration camps. of course i knew what they were and what happened at these places, but i've never really delve too deep. i spent the whole day today reading recounts of camps from survivors, mainly Auschwitz, and a couple of reoccurring things were the bitter bitter cold and the train. i watched two documentaries this morning and .. looking at my sig now kinda makes me nauseous. seeing the footage of dead inside the trains and actually paying attention to the words i read today, i haven't gone into this part of the war since high school and never this explicitly .. i'm sick to my stomach. "Those who cannot remember the past, are doomed to repeat it." this seemed to come up a lot. or "it happened once, it could happen again." in the light of our very very willfully ignorant president, my horrors of election night last year is haunting me again. i don't regret looking into this subject, and i plan on continuing my own "research" i just .. i don't think i like trains anymore. be kind to one another please. <3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I think it's so important to be informed on History because History (no matter how dark it can be) teaches us many lessons, if more people paid attention to it, there would be less ignorance. It wasn't just trains but a bunch of box trucks that they would dump corpses into or live people which would become overcrowded real quick and they would suffocate or starve to death in when they were being transported somewhere. All forms of transportation were used back then that held bodies. All forms of transportation also have positive uses so I really hope that you won't worry or freak out too much about trains or any type of transportation vehicle when you think of it like this Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
