Mariah put melisma on the map for pop music & wrote all her music from day 1, she was a powerhouse from the age of 20 years old

 

Nobody's faves can compare to her & it's hilarious that people want to erase the legacy of so many POC (AND especially women) in this industry. Everyone in the pop industry has been inspired by Mariah, her influence is non-negotiable.

 

 

 

It doesn't fucking matter if she doesn't live up to her past, she's been singing for more than fucking 28 years and longer. Ever heard of vocal nodules? Mariah's been living with that since she was a toddler, it was inevitable.
