So even if you're a wealthy person belonging to a specific "backward" caste, you'll get admission into prestigious universities with horrible marks(eg 50%), effectively taking away all the opportunities of deserving and truly poor candidates who have scored 95%. It's just terrible and it's a big problem in my country since a lot of undeserving people get into great colleges and jobs just because of their caste. Like once I turned in a project I bullshited late, but me and my friends were the teachers’ favorite (I guess bc we were the most popular people in class) so I got an A lmfao.
