i know what he allegedly did is really unfair and wrong but i hope he doesn't let this get him too down and that the hate comments aren't severe. especially with the recent events and more idols speaking up about depression, i hope everyone can have a heart.

Honestly I thought this when I knew how close his bandmate was to him

that was fast.

can someone tell me what exactly he done? what;s the issue with the interview?

alleged unfair admission to 2016 PHD program in KyungHee university. an investigation by the Seoul Metro police currently going on

it was reported that he didn't attend any of the admission interviews but he still got accepted into the program

his aunt is a professor in the university and she along with Yonghwa and another FNC staff were investigated by the police these few days

FNC released official statement that they're the ones arranging his school admission process and they scheduled his interviews with the school and he attended the interviews ( probably not the normal one but special interviews in different setting).

Yonghwa didn't want to get involved with this violation of admission rule and taking leave from school

I feel this and I also hope people don't go overboard (as netizens tend to) but at the same time he also made his own bed and has to suffer the consequences, so it's not wrong for people to be angry and judge him accordingly.

I just hope people are able to separate deserved criticism from random hatred, and direct their complaints to his actions and the collaborating university administration rather than petty inconsequential stuff.

people shouldn't wield Jonghyun's tragic passing as a weapon to browbeat people into never expressing an opinion when an idol has genuinely done wrong, imho

This whole situation is so unfair to those trying their hardest to get into universities and then there’s people like him who don’t even need this. And then don’t even end up showing up at the interview and still get accepted. I can understand the backlash he’s receiving. Especially since Koreans take education reallly seriously.

He’s atleast acknowledging his mistake, but didn’t he also acknowledge his mistake last scandal? And then came out with even a bigger scandal

Whatever it is hopefully he’s learned this time. Honestly don’t think he’ll recover from this but let’s see how things turn out for him

Sending death threats it's wrong but calling him out it's not so I really hope fans don't go around using the last weeks events to control what people talk about him. What he did was shitty, he's in a place he doesn't deserves and that a person that fought hard for a simple interview  could do better on. In the end none of the people he's mentioning were affected and I doubt most of them are angry.

Yes, I do agree with you. He deserves to suffer the consequences such as leaving the school and this public humiliation. I was just trying to express what you said in bold above. He messed up big time and not to mention this is strike two after his other scandal, but I don’t think he deserves death threats or crazy malicious comments not related to his wrongdoing.

I wouldn't take this scandal and the stocks scandal seriously tbh

but this will be big for koreans...so yeah his career is over now.

Good he apologized and accepted his faults though

this is a pity coz I don't think he is a bad guy but  has made bad decisions.

the type of things he keeps getting involved in seems like his family raised him wrong from the beginning then he just never learned better. He probably didn't even see it as that big of a deal since I doubt he would use the degree other than just to appear smart XD

Hope he works out his moral compass. Sometimes corrupt things don't look that wrong to people who weren't shown the effects of certain actions

No way it won't be severe.

People have killed themselves in Korea for not getting into a good college and celebrities like him just gets in due to connections.

i'm not sure in these situation people commend him for apologizing.  I mean.. he got caught.  he should apologize he has no choice.  I don't think it shows any admiration. anyway.. has he entered military yet?  would be a good way to gain back respect.

he admit that he's at fault instead let the company handle it alone, good for him..but this will haunted him till the end netz ain't gonna let him free after all these continuous scandal .. on top of that, he just downgrade other perception towards him even more sigh i hope he took this opportunity to go reflect
