Do you wear sweats to work out?

The gym I go to is cold so I don't mind working out in leggings, sweaters, and sweatpants. I don't do cardio that much, though, so maybe that's why it's not a bother for me?

 

The air conditioner is currently broken where I work out and I was drenched doing strength training ohdearplz.png

No point in wearing sweats while working out, will just make it harder because your more weighed down. All it really accomplishes is making you sweat more which you'll just replenish afterwards.

Yeah, my outfit depends on the weather (if working out outside) but it's more about being comfortable and having the adequate clothing that lets you move freely.

 

The idea behind using pants and sweatshirts is to increase the amount of calories you're burning by making yourself sweating more by using that type of clothing. Therefore that's something you would only try if you want to lose weight but I don't know how much of a good idea, or effective, it is as that will reduce your performance and will dehydrate you faster (and you always want to be hydrated when working out).

 

Personally I get heat a lot so I don't need to wear any of that shit to sweat a lot and in fact I don't like to be drenched in sweat so I will always dress in something light and comfortable. Even when I'm swimming I prefer the water to be cold as you do also sweat in the water and if the temperature is too warm (28° or above) it get very uncomfortable and will feel like suffocating in the water.
