Molly's Game (2017): enjoyed it quite a lot even though it was a tad bit too long. In love with Chastain and always appreciating Sorkin's work.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017): Touching and funny at the same time, we loved this take of grieving from the rage and anger angle. Amazing performances too.
The Post (2017): A nice movie, important in times where the media and press gets such a bad rep. Showcasing what true journalism looks like is vital, and a painful reminded that it is the backbone of a healthy democracy. Meryl Streep was great. A bit forgettable in the end though.
Black Panther (2018): Far from being a perfect movie, but wew, such a refreshing one for sure! My favorite from the all the Marvel series, and one that is so damn culturally important to exist, I'm just happy it makes people happy. Wakanda Forever! Also, here for Lupita and Sterling, I crush hard on them, but don't mind me y'all.
The Shape of Water (2018): Pretty cute story, enjoyable in many aspects, gave me huge Amelie feels for a good hour. Nothing fantastic either, it didn't move me to tears much, but it was a nice ride. I still expected a bit more than this, but it was alright as is.
