I strongly disliked Alyssa at first, I almost wanted James to kill her when she became too annoying, but then she grew on me. Their relationship seemed toxic at first, in all levels, and they both are extremely flawed characters, but somehow they made it work. I ended up really enjoying the show and liking both James and Alyssa a lot. Hope they're planning on a second season. Also, I like James dad. I felt sorry for him from the second he showed up. At first I didn't like Alyssa either but she definitely grew on me. Her and james are so cute together. My kind of humor and I liked that I could relate to both James and Alyssa (Heh) in some way. I really hated though how James seemed to hate his Dad so much but I see where he was coming from after what happened to his Mom and him being so young. Yeah, Alyssa was annoying at first but I liked that they actually fleshed her character out and she wasn’t a typical “manic pixie dream girlâ€.
