...Where will I read my manga?? All the less popular manga series I read are basically fucked this is so bad.

 

And the announcement is sad to read, you never appreciate a forum site until it's gone tbh. The creators really put a lot of time and energy and emotion into these things. Just like the people here on OH.

You worry too much. Manga, like torrent's sites has the hydra effect. One goes down, three takes it's place.

There's a thousand more. I used submanga (for spanish) pandamanga/mangapanda (?) ninemanga, and a bunch of others

Batoto isn't like Mangafox or Onemanga or Mangahere, there are plenty of teams that post their projects only to Batoto. And the (very) large majority of teams would never willingly post the stuff they translate to a site like mangahere(mangahere uses bots to "steal" the stuff from batoto), which is why I'm worried. I already found a team who is planning on exclusively posting their projects to Tumblr in the meantime.

 

I use Mangahere because it's easier to find series I would like (batoto never had the easiest way to find good manga), but once I find something, I usually switch to the team's personal blog/site because I know that's the easiest way to get feedback and consistent releases. Mangahere has plenty of series that don't have as many translated chapters as they should because the teams have gone through great lengths to prevent sites like those from finding them. And without batoto, I feel like I won't be able to find anything anymore :(

Not really, they can get them directly from the scanlating groups. Idk if Batoto handled any series themselves, but either way there are still countless other groups translating series.

Not really...there are lots of scanlation groups who upload their projects to all those sites. Don't worry about it.

Ok, so you guys are all telling me not to freak out so I wont. But I don't know about them uploading the chapters themselves since so many teams have their first pages riddled with text that says something like "don't read this on managahere!!!". But maybe other groups dont see it as a big deal.

sad to say I never actually read manga on there though.. I always use mangapark because of the viewing all pages option and my reading history would be recorded

Nah, I disagree with most of the posters here, Batoto was a step above sites like mangapande and mangahere. There is good news though, MangaDex seems like it will be a worthy replacement, although it's not quite there yet. The site is a little slow but they're updating their servers so it should be really great soon.
