How come international fans keeps discrediting non idol groups achievements on charts?

Like seriously whenever i saw discussions about robbing the empty house it all ends up with they don’t really fight with other idol groups and totally ignoring the fact that the ones on charts now aren’t just idol groups there are indie artists and soloists or even bands or rappers

I read a bit about the controversy but do you know why it hasn't blown up more? the issue is the lyrics supposedly plagiarize a book by the same name (Contrail)...? do you know if the lyrics are word for word from the book or if it's because the singer denied association or what?

there is a reason I wanted monsta x to push their cmb to january but startship decide that november was a good idea 

and charting on melon, genie etc isn't the only thing that determinate wins, which one liked it or not are important for said groups

I feel like lyrics plagiarism is next to impossible to enforce (and is rarely an issue, so it must be really blatant/ripped off) so while music critics might care, most music listeners probably don't if courts aren't involved. it's unfortunate the singer has a bad attitude - he got the breakthrough of his life with this song but looks like it might end up a one hit wonder.

Getting signed to a major label probably gets the song another bad publicity with how much time Korean spends using internet i’m not surprised if curious people ends up buying or streaming the song after the news got released

It’s sickening tbh they act as if an EDM song by an idol group is popular Korea suddenly has taste but when it comes to slower songs like Bolbbalgan’s they will say it’s “typical Korean†taste like what kind of insult to the said artist for catering to the public?
