Article: [Exclusive] "The second B2ST situation"... MBK Entertainment applies to trademark 'T-ara'

Source: Sports Chosun via Nate

1. [+195, -9] I remember when SM sued an academy named 'Siwon School' because they didn't want them using the name Siwon ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ these guys are all just thugs

2. [+148, -17] The difference here is that the former B2ST/current Highlight members had a positive image as a group

3. [+103, -3] Whether you hate T-ara or not, you have to admit that agency CEOs are thugs abusing their power

4. [+22, -4] Look at how well Highlight is doing now, it's not the name that's important but the members ã…‹ã…‹ We'll soon see if T-ara does better without the name or not ã…‹ã…‹

5. [+15, -2] We're dealing with Kwang Soo here, didn't you expect this to happen? He always lives up to our expectations, he's such a thug tsk tsk

6. [+12, -1] It's so sad how things can turn for the worse... before their scandal, every song they put out was a hit and they all had great images... now their image has gone to sh*t, their contracts are expired, they can't even use their own team name, let alone sing their old songs... They really were just slaves for MBK tsk tsk

6. [+6, -4] Kwang Soo's a thug to the bone... tsk tsk tsk, he always plays dirty

7. [+3, -0] T-ara's better off using a different name anyway ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

8. [+3, -3] Just change your name to Tara instead of T-ara then ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

Article: [Official] MBK reps, "We did apply to trademark T-ara but this is a different situation compared to B2ST"

Source: OSEN via Naver

1. [+1,034, -21] Kwang Soo ajusshi, why are you being like this?

2. [+801, -15] Can't believe MBK tried to pass this off as an 'amicable parting' with T-ara, just look at the media play they've been doing ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ the members must think this is ridiculous

3. [+625, -26] But isn't it better for T-ara's image to promote under a different name anyway?

4. [+581, -54] Of course it's different from B2ST's situation... at least B2ST had a positive image. T-ara's image is.. well... I'm just surprised that they think it's even worth fighting over at all.

5. [+105, -5] Kwang Soo the ba$tard is up to no good. Why else would he apply to trademark it three days before they left the company?

6. [+102, -4] Kwang Soo-ya ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ you're so dirty ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

7. [+81, -3] Kwang Soo's basically saying he'll only let them use the name if they pay up the royalties ^^ crazy Kwang Soo

8. [+77, -3] Would you expect anything less from Kwang Soo? He's demanding that they pay if they want to use the name T-ara

They really should go with Tiara from now on 0u0plz.png How pissed would he be...

Tiara would be perfect. I'd love to see Kwang Soo seethe even more hurrplz.png

They can always go by T*ara or Tiara.

MBK/KKS being petty af. As if they'll use the name again anytime soon.

T-ARA or TIARA it's all the same, T-ARA was ORIGINALLY "TIARA" it was only stylized as T-ARA later.

You can see T-ara debuted under the name "Tiara" (you can see the their debut stage on MCountdown as proof that it was TIARA)

Well the best solution is using Hanzi / Kanji / Hanja.

王冠 = crown / tiara

Hangul: 왕관 / wanggwan

We still can call it tiara cause of the meaning but not by phonic name.
