This new year, we met with Maybelline New York model and the new rising beauty icon, Kim Doyeon. As she turn 20 years old(*korean age) this year, we gonna reveal a beauty scene that has added a more feminine and mysterious look to her red, clean face.

How is your feeling to be the first cover girl for Beauty+ in 2018

i'm happy to appear as a cover for January issue in this new year. i like how the pictures turn out in this photoshoot, and the cover is turn out pretty too so i'm excited about it.

 

Not long ago was your birthday, what did you do at your birthday?

after i finished shooting for the drama, i went to my dorm and my members give me a surprise birthday party. And my parents come to seoul bringing me a seaweed soup and "jangjorim" and they bring me a homemade kimchi. it was a really great birthday present.

 

Now you’re 20 years old, is there anything you want to do when you turn 20 years old?

in the past, everytime I was asked about this I always answered I want to go to food stall. But now I want to get my 21^st birthday gift, so then I feel like I’m really in my 20s.

 

we heard that you always interested in self make up, seems like you have a lot of interest in beauty

yes, not only make up, but also try my best from cleansing to skin care. I know there’s a lot of people who thought it’s a hassle thing to do but for me it’s fun. It’s exciting for me when I think about what (make up) I should use.

 

What kind of eye make up you usually do?

Rather than a heavy make up, I usually just putting enough eyeshadow. Then I rolled my eyelashes. Even when I just do a simple make up, I always use mascara.

 

What kind of item that you must put on your pouch when you’re going out?

Just three things. Red lipstick, mascara, and dark circle concealer! These 3 item is a must then I can do some make up.

 

What is your favorite beauty item?

I like lip product the most. I’m someone who like to apply variety color. And among them, red color is my favorite.

 

As a Maybelline New York’s muse. What is your favorite (Maybelline) product?

“Maybelline powder matte lipstick Red-Dy Redâ€! even tho it looks dry, when I used it myself, it is very soft and moist and it feels smooth at the end. I like using a red color with a clear vibe. And I like “fit me concealer†too. I use them to the point it can called as my daily necessity.

 

About  â€œpush up mascara†that been used in this pictorial, What do you think after you used it yourself?

I already fallen for it when I tried it beforehand while I shot an advertisement. The brush is so unique that I was amazed when my eyelashes raise even tho I didn’t eyelash curler. I’m a mascara mania so I’ll use it often in from now.

 

How you usually do your diet?

I usually goes to pilates, even tho recently I rarely go because of my schedule. It’s not even 1 year yet since I started do pilates, but I can already see the effects. My body line looks much better. You  can also reduce the body itself because it is a breathing exercise . And because I really like eating, I can’t eat what I want to eat freely if I didn’t do a hard diet. However, on the day I eat a high calorie food in one of my meal, I try to eat another meal as light as possible.

 

It’s unexpected that you like eating when you are this slim. What is your favorite food?

Hmm, I like a lot of food tho(smile), if I have to choose the one I want to eat right now is strawberry. Among fruits, I like strawberry and cherry the most. I’m very happy about the fact that winter is the season of strawberry.

 

What is the thing that you’ve been interested in nowadays?

It’s japan animation! Recently I watched <your name>, it’s really fun. Next I want to watch <spirited away> and <my neighbor totoro>. I remember watching when I was young, I think it will be feels different if I watch it again.

 

Please say something to your fans whom excited to see your activity in 2018.

Weki Meki will release 2^nd album in 2018. Because I am the happiest when singing and dancing, I really look forward for this album. And we are working really hard preparing it so that we won’t disappoint our fans who are looking forward to it. Hopefully there will be more people who will love Weki Meki in the future. And I’ll be a new MC in <get it beauty> new season in 2018. I’m gonna try really hard to be a beauty icon who can inform many people a lot of beauty information(tips), please look forward to it.
