1. [+1,348, -18] How about you worry about your own kids...

2. [+1,184, -18] People need to mind their own business. He's raising his own kids the way he wants to, stop acting like you know better.

3. [+1,126, -21] Think about all the issues with the school system from bullying to iljins to rote memorization... People need to mind their business.

4. [+63, -1] You're sorely mistaken if you think going to school promotes social skills

5. [+60, -2] Sigh.. Koreans and their knack for getting into other people's businesses ã…¡ã…¡ Considering that there's 6 of them, I'm sure they'll be fine being homeschooled together than dealing with all the bullying and iljin issues that school systems have. Their social skills will be fine.

6. [+57, -1] You're mistaken if you think homeschooling stunts social skills. Kids actually feel a lot psychologically content because they're with their parents. I've rarely seen anyone homeschooled who couldn't socially adjust to society, but I have seen kids who've gone to school end up with nasty personalities.

7. [+47, -2] How are people going to explain all the kids who come out of the school system with stunted social skills? Having 6 siblings is an advantage in social skills already.

8. [+42, -1] I'd homeschool if I could. I've learned nothing out of my 12 years in the public school system. Social skills? What's it matter when you really only hang out with your family when you get older anyway.

9. [+33, -0] There are pros to homeschooling too. Not sure why he should be criticized for raising his kids the way he wants to.

10. [+26, -1] I feel like homeschooled kids would be a lot happier and more self-confident in themselves. They're under the security and trust of the love of their parents, which is a better environment to learn and grow in.

11. [+22, -1] I'd give some merit to the social skills argument if they only had one kid but he has 6 siblings... pretty much the same environment as a small classroom.

There's nothing wrong with him wanting to homeschool his kids...honestly...

Why can't people just mind their own business for once?

They have a point. My brother has really bad social skills and we weren't home schooled. Not their kids so it's not their problem he can homeschool them if he so chooses.

lmao as long as the kids are getting the education they need its not anyone's problem if they're being homeschooled or not. and its not like the kids are being locked up and isolated from the outside world. they can still go out and hang out with people so their social interaction will be fine.

These comments are at least positive, I'm glad that I'm not the only one who feels this way. I was homeschooled and I loved it... then I went into public schooling and it was awful and I do not much enjoy people at all, they're really mean. : )

I went back to homeschooling and it's honestly an experience i don't regret... homeschooling that is, not attending public school, I regret going to public school and hated it.

6 kids... that's basically a whole class in some places. Reading about how toxic the korean education system is, I'd take homeschooling anyday over their 24 hr schools •~•

come on, having many children it completely wrong

And why is that? Worldwide perhaps but not every country is the same. In countries within aging populations, more children is a good thing to help prevent economic disasters.

In overpopulated countries, having so many children is not a wise decision and could be considered selfish by some (due to resource allocation and such) but that’s not the case in SK.

Your social skills has little to do with what kind of schooling you got and more to do with your personality and how used you are to social situations. My social skills suck because I've only mostly communicated with my twin as a kid since I was really shy and never really socialized with other kids growing up, and I went to a public school. Plus I was kept indoors nearly all the time.

But I think that homeschooling only works if the parents hire a good homeschool teacher or if they have the credentials to homeschool because there are just as many bad homeschool teachers as there are bad public/private school teachers.
