Ok so just watched episode 9 and 10, is an improvement from last week for sure but jeez, Sooji is really starting to disturb me, not annoy me because I don't find her annoying as a character, just that she's of such cynical nature it reaches an extent where is disturbing, makes me wonder, if this drama involve tragedies in any way, could her fate be related to her mental health? Her behaviour might be an indicative of her having prominently sociopathic tendencies.

Also, we got an iconic line from miss Eun Taehee:

"Did you know condoms can expire too? Be careful"

I'm glad she's back to being like this, hopefully it can keep up for at least 4 more episodes, i'm having fun seeing the push-and-pulling, from her side that is, Sihyun's push and pulling is annoying me, there is no need to be so rude to her just because your lil squad is with you boy, that's not how it works.

I hope the writers and editors do better work in future, some scenes are really awkward and unnatural.

like the swimming pool scene where her hair kept switching from dry to wet with every angle change lol

I've been seeing that this drama will film something like 3 days before the airing date and that scene gets broadcasted with the ep. So how are they gonna work around Joy's schedule - idek if she's going to NK or not. I wish they would film eps minimum a week in advance... they are so behind that they can't even show previews anymore that is so tragic. This is bad even for Korea's live shooting standards.

So, I just now finished watching eps 9-12.  I'll have to say ep 12 was the best for me, especially the last scene. This is the TaeHee that I was waiting for. The no-nonsense girl that gets straight to the point and says what's on her mind. She's made her move, now Si Hyun will be forced to confront what he's doing and I'm really interested to see how he'll approach the whole situation.

Se-Joo is a solid character. I love how many shades his character has and how well Min-jae portrayals them. Definitely still my top character in this drama. I thought that the 3 friends were so close as to share everything but we can now see each friend hiding something from the other and this might break the bond they share.

I've said this since ep 1, the editing is so weird. I feel like I've completely missed out on a few scenes when infact I've watched the whole episode from the beginning to the end. I'm glad few others feel the same way.

I can't with the parents and their superfluous relationships 0u0plz.png  Their kids are nothing but assets to them. No wonder the kids are messed up.

I had a hope of Joy going to NK but now that you've mentioned them being so behind schedule, I'm starting to loose hope of her going rlytearpls.png  It's a miracle she even made it to 'The Red Room' in Japan 0u0plz.png

Finished watching ep 11-12, it looks like the drama is about to take a darker angstier turn and of course i'm here for it, is what I expected from the story and seeing this week's episodes makes me glad that the drama is starting to get back on the track it was setting at the beginning, I guess last week was just an attempt at romcom before starting the suffering, and I can see our characters suffering starting from next week.

The scene where Taehee argued with her dad and realized that she was acting just like him honestly broke my heart, i'm glad she dumped Sihyun first but at the same time it saddens me knowing the reason for that.

This was a good week, I hope it continues like this, I want to trust and watch but last week I was just so angry, however, this week restored my faith.

P.S: I love Sejoo to bits and I adore Kim Minjae for portraying him so well! I can't help but feel frustrated whenever Sooji treats him like dirt, no one cares about you and protects you as much as Sejoo, not even Sihyun girl, stop being so full of yourself and try to realize that in fact there ARE people around you who love you and care for you.

I think the writer is focusing too much on Sooji, her background, her struggle, yada yada yada instead of Taehee. Why don't they shift the spotlight to Taehee and her mother conflict for example? Plus they spent too much screentime on that old couple, which I don't really care. Also it's kinda gross.

I think bcs actually sooji's character is the lead female (?) They originally offered Joy the role of sooji, claiming it was the lead. when she took taehee instead, that became the lead.

The first news that comes out is the news about Joy offered to be sooji's character. I like it bcs the character has strong character and very different with Joy's character in her 1st drama.

But the news that appear is Joy take the role of euntaehee, i mean "who is eun taehee? how abt the character?" i think she is the 2nd lead but actually i'm happy bcs Joy wouldnt get too much hate.

And i'm surprised that euntaehee is ths 1st lead, and i'm more surprised when drama aired.

tbh? I'm upset by the drama too...by making joy the lead after introducing gayoung the way they did, it’s obvious she was going to be compared & get hate.. also the failure to conceal that the lead role changed to wtv Joy took...it make the story messed up bcs they need development euntahae to be strong character claiming she is the 1st lead when actually sooji's the strongest character.

.

they should not have to change the main character which will affect the drama's work, poor writen and bad editing make me upset, bcs of that some peoples attack Joy.

Joy's fans still support her drama no matter what character she takes.

Nothing was changed, Sooji had to have bigger importance than Taehee no matter what because she's the foundation of the entire story, Taehee is the 1st female lead just because she is the one the male lead ends up falling in love with and it causes disorder, I talked about this before, Taehee is a catalyst and this is the case in all of the drama's source materials as well.

Even if Joy had taken the role of Sooji Taehee would still be there because the drama needs two female leads, if we don't have the person who offers the bet and the person who becomes a target of this bet then the drama can't exist.

The problem is that the writer is not good enough for a drama of this caliber, they had to hire someone who was experienced and skilled enough to properly develope a drama that should be far from the typical kdrama loveline route, one that is able to balance all the story elements instead of constantly going back and forth between romcom and angsty melodrama. It feels like the focus drastically changed from Sooji to Taehee just because the writer and editors are fucking up the pace of the drama and is a problem that is showing with all the plotlines not just the Sooji-Sihyun-Taehee arc.

In my last review post I said it had improved this week and I hope it continues to improve, if it switches again next week I feel like i'll lose it regardless of how much I enjoyed this week's episodes.

Also, SM was smart to talk it through with MBC to give Joy the role of Taehee and create a package deal including Gayoung instead of shoving Joy as Sooji, she's my bias and I love her but Joy isn't ready to play a part as complicated and cynical as Sooji, not to mention Moon Gayoung is nailing it.

Joy's outfit in the trainrail is the exact same she was wearing at the airport while coming back from Japan smh MBC.

Mess rlytearpls.png. That's the same thing that came to my mind when I saw the previews. No wonder she left earlier than the other members even though it was just a couple of hours apart

Just now finished watching eps 13 &14. I'm going to put stuff under spoiler for the benefit of people who haven't watched these episodes yet.

Both were pretty good but one thing's bugging me. Why did Si-Hyun ask Tae Hee's friend to hide the fact that those two were dating from Soo-Ji and Se-Joo? Why does it matter? I'm not here for Se-Joo getting hurt at the end rlytearpls.png He's still my fav character.

Something's fishy about Soo-Ji's mom. It's going to turn ugly whenever people find out about the Si-Hyun's dad not being his real dad. Also all 3 parents are a mess in their own way and deserve each other unimpressed.png

Spill it out...

i like to read other people opinions about the drama

Is not an opinion, is more like questions, I don't understand where the plot is going currently, especially because of the bet, so is over, like that? Or will they bring it back once Sooji finds out Sihyun is seeing Taehee behind her back?

I'm also disappointed at them being back together already, but at the same time the OTP doesn't bother me.

Last week episode at the ending Taehee made me cries.

This week ending Shihyun made me cries.

He feel insecure and afraid that one day Taehee will find out the truth. Hes in love now but he also discovered his soft side that he afraid of losing her wow.

Sooji’s mom is scary, she is up to something omg. She looks so nice and I never thought she would be a toxic character of everything happens atm.

Right now everything is so pink

I’m afraid that the dark side of the story/relationship will happening soon and everyone will get hurt forsure.

Atleast this kiss scene was more believable than the previous one meowfaceplz.png

So we're half-way through the drama and there's so many questions about the drama.

Is TaeHee's mom living under a rock that she has no idea about Si-Hyun's dad marrying Soo-Ji's mom? 0u0plz.png

If Si-Hyun truly wants a chance with TaeHee then he needs to come through and tell TaeHee about the bet. Does he think TaeHee will accept it better as time passes or is he just waiting for her to find out the truth and dump him?

I watched the first 3 episodes and it's not bad at all. Yes, the characters make questionable decisions and a little illogical, but that happens in all dramas. I do not see anything strange with the acting either imstupid.png . What I do believe is that exposing Sihyun sad story from the beginning already conditions us to feel empathy for him. I would've liked a little more mystery. But hey, I guess that's how dramas are.

In which episode does the script become bad?

Have a good day smile.png

People really need to chill the acting is okay, or not worse than most dramassouleyesplz.png

You're right!!! The acting is decent, it's more about the editing, the development of the story and how they're handling character development.

That's a great point you've brought up about creating empathy for SiHyun's character. I expected some main characters to be darker than what they are right now. The first few eps are good since they're mainly introducing the characters and their story. It gets weird for a couple of episodes, then the story pics up for a couple more. Then there's random things that start happening. So overall it takes some effort to stay with this drama. Hopefully the story telling and editing will be better in the second half.

Yup, i think i'm there. I'm going to write about EP 12, if you don't want spoilers don't read this please smile.png

Until episode 12 I enjoyed it. But TaeHee suddenly became a psyco girlfriend who feels sorry for a man who was hospitalized for getting drunk because he was sad. Not even Sebastian and Anette had this level of toxic relationship.

Also, maybe I'm dumb, but there are so many open stories that I end up understanding only 50% (with luck): HyeJung and his mother (I really don't understand these characters), what does KiYoung want from TaeHee? Why is SooJi's father in jail? What happened to SeJoo's mother? Is that grandmother just a grandmother or someone important in the plot? And most importantly, does the bet end when she falls in love and he breaks up with her, or does he have to have sex with her?

Maybe I missed many of the answers, or maybe we do not have to know all these things. I dont know.

But I feel that the story, instead of getting darker, is only getting more confusing.

And it makes me angry that the great seducer is this dumb men and that the strong girl who does not fall in love has become a psycho that breaks into the boy's house when he is not there. I just want to know how this is going to end.

Anyway, it's amazing how the acting is still good even though they are filming hours before being broadcast, while the script continues to get worse.
