Do you think Coca Cola and other carbonated drinks should go back to glass bottles?

I was watching this and it got me thinking. I miss the glass bottles. They're easy to manage and much more green efficient (imo). Do you think you want to go back to buying these and carrying them around? Although, you don't have to carry them. Drink it and recycle it after.

I use a glass bottle instead of a plastic one to carry water around all day when I am at uni or just outside in general

 

I don't know how much of a difference it makes when it comes to climate change but at least I am not poisoning my own body with chemicals released from the bottle

Yes, I don't drink soda often, so it wouldn't be too much of a burden to collect the glass bottles. They should make a reusable cap though.

I think glass bottles will make it more expensive. Great for the environment but not so great for poor me! I thought biodegradable plastics were a thing nowadays?

No, just recycle it. 

We have a policy here in Germany. Every bottle or can you buy has a fee of 25 (plastic bottles and cans) or 8 (glass bottles) cents. Every store that sells them, needs to take them back.

Those 25 cents things are not reusable so thats why they are worth more. So as a consumer, if you want to get your money back you need to bring it back and the store has to recycle them.

Also same with plastic bags. There was a time where you got them for free, but now they cost 10, 15, 20 cents. Since then a lot af people just brig their own with them.

Yes, if it is environmentally friendlier & there is no other better solutions. + Cola glass bottles are nice because they're classic in every sense of the word.

It sucks right? Man, it much more cost efficient actually. You don't have to produce more cans or plastic bottles. A good hot wash and soap and rinse and put the drinks. That's it.

Yeah instead of can caps. Those were fun to play with but getting tetanus isn't all good.

I'm not gonna lie. Certain things taste good in their plastic bottles (certain brands of water, juices like cranberry or orange), even milk to an extent.

Yeah. There are some that's still in glass, but they're phasing them out.
