Or is there a story in you you've been dying to write? I know I have, I usually express myself through the popular website Wattpad and then would sometime go to Mibba which is another writing website if you didn't know. Just thought to create this post to be vocal about any kind of dream you may have, doesn't even need to be an author. I hope that any good branded name publisher will some day accept this story I'm working on about Priestesses, sci-fi-fantasy, adventure, dragon slaying, gods and goddesses, etc. What about you guys? Anything you have in mind? I know here on OH we have a lot of creative minds; plenty. PS: This thread was meant to be a positive hub just so we can shift our thoughts to something positive about ourselves and achieving that goal. Please no negativity and nothing of harmful speech. My mum's told me she'll pay for the publishing but it's honestly too much to ask from her, but hopefully one day after I've completed my studies I'll get started on that. It's not a 'must do' necessarily, but I would feel very fulfilled if it was to happen. I think I am good with describing the state of mind of the character, thier emotions and the motives behind their behavior. I think I can make them somehow belivable because I put a lot of my real thoughts and feelings into them when I write. To me the hardest part is finding a good plot. Something exciting and fun and unpredictible, but with depth also. I think I am just not ready. Writing a book means getting to know more people, more stories, to understand the psychology of people other than me, to discover more places and most importantly, have a message to convey. There is a writer in my country who said 'It's easy to write when you have nothing to say!'. So I don't want to write a story just for the sake of it, I want to have a message attached to it. Yes, this is the quality of an author. Not just writing about the characters but becoming the characters; which easily allows the reader to feel for the story you put out and you know as they say, practice makes perfect so even if your not good with plot or creation of the world, if you practice at it, the better you'll become. And this is what a great author should always think about when writing a story, what message will I leave behind? What impact? Whose day will I make? Or whose can I relate to or have them relate to the character in the story? A real tale is told from the perspective of understanding and seeing things through different eye's. Which is what makes writing so amazing, the fact that you can put yourself in this person's shoe's and touch some else life is truly grand. I love to help people, and with my talent of writing, I hope to someday help others with it. Honestly leaving your reality for an epic adventure or even an relation to your own reality can open someone's eyes and make a difference in their life. Well thats the key, every writer has plenty of stories that they're embarrassed off when they started writing, but as time went by and the more stories they've wrote, they saw major improvement in their writing. I know when I started writing and I would share my stories I had major grammar problems and wouldn't capitalize my i's lol back then I didn't care though I was just writing to write lol but now I see the importance.
