Don't use free speech to offend. Whatever your opinions are, keep it respectful.

then its not free speech its censorship

not really

for example, lgbt rights shouldn't be up for debate and all humans deserve the same rights, why should the wellbeing of people be up for debate?

disagree: this curent rejection of any oppinion that's not the same to your is killing speech freedom. speech freedom is about speaking your mind but it goes both ways you need to hear other. speech freedom is not even the goal (i think) but one of the many factors to achieve ccritic thinkingcritical thinking

Yes. People need to learn to defend freedom of speech for those that disagree with them and not only for those that agree. Free speech is for everyone and not only for those that agree with your agenda and opinions. Don't like stupid and ignorant people? well  let them speak and prove to everyone that they are stupid and ignorant and then no one will listen to them.

People are to scared of having their opinions debated, too scared of having to use logic to form thoughts and too scared of leaving their dam safe spaces.

but some people have legitimate arguments

such as some people dont believe two men or two women could raise a child well which is bs

but you have to let people debate even if you disagree

and let people form their own opinions

the more you force certain ideals the more people will reject them

someone believing something doesn't make that something a legitimate argument

and as for forcing ideals... no one's forcing anyone to be part of lgbt, only saying that everyone needs to be treated equally and that people within the community deserve the same rights as everyone else. but straight people sure wanna force lgbt people to be straight and heteronormative

disagree. political correctness is not about restricting what people can say, it's about making people realize that there are consequences for their words esp when they describe other people

free speech shouldn't be used as a shield to oppress and marginalize certain groups of people

You're free to say whatever you want you're just not free of the consequences

THIS.

Freedom of speech was to keep the government from throwing you in prison for criticizing them.

Look at some countries like Thailand. People can get put in prison for decades for criticizing the royals.
