How do you feel about Twice being JYPs only girl group?

i think this all comes with the fickle nature of girl groups in the idol industry. no one expects boy groups to be replaced but any time the next gg comes up, it means closed curtains for older ggs. there are only a few exceptions, ie: snsd

It depends. Some groups definitely get more money made than others. Rather that, or some other groups have run it's course. I love TWICE for their songs and music videos. They are making a lot of money for the company right now and are getting a lot of publicity. We'll have to see how long they end up lasting.

i kind of expected miss a's disbandment but i'm even more worried than i was already about twice's health since they haven't rested properly for a while, and now that they're jyp's only girlgroup..... idk

In my opinion 2 of my top 5 current GG come from the big 3 in BP and Twice and Red Velvet, while not one of my faves' are without doubt one of the biggest and most loved GG this gen' too and also come from essentially a 1 GG company too. 

 

So I think given the quality of these groups I would rather kep it how it is right now if it's working rather than over bloat the companies with multiple groups if they are not bringing anything new...if that makes sense. 

 

It must be hard enough to produce and keep even a single GG relevant and competitive right now, imagine YG for example having a second GG when in the last 13-14 months he has gave us 1 single comeback for BP????

 

I don't know if JYPE adding a group right now would benefit his current girls too much beyond giving them maybe more rest with him not relying on just Twice to bring in GG fan all year....

Companies value 'young' GGs moreso than BGs, so it seems like they're tossed aside after a few years unless they're big, and even then that's not a guarantee... It's sad, really.

 

BGs seem to be viewed as a long term investment, money wise, while GGs are more aimed at cashing out quickly? I hope that makes sense.

Well, it's not only a JYP thing, YG also only has one gg and the way I see it Red Velvet will be SM's only gg promoting for some time... 

 

The reality is that most agencies usually focus on having one gg while having multiple boy groups promoting...

 

It's sad since I'm a girl group fan, I wish big 3 would have more active girl groups
